Taking advantage of geographical position of Korea located on the main route of world-wide service, Port Logistics Industry can be strategic industry which secures international competitiveness necessary for Korea to be hub of Northeast Asian's logistics. Along with the advent of super large container vessel, world ports environment changed from "milkway" type, which means vessel calls every port for service to "Hub & Spoke" type, which means vessel calls regional central port and feeder service for the rest ports. As environment changes, regional ports in Northeast Asia are competing each other tougher and tougher and introducing or developing port logistics information system based on state-of-the-art technology in order to adapt themselves to new environment, thus to be Hub port. Taking this situation into consideration, we want to define clearly the meaning and scope of port logistics IT and review the global trend of port logistics IT. Finally we want to find future development of port logistics IT which we have to achieve.

The paradigm of the global logistics network has been rapidly changing from traditional concept of productivity in cost terms, toward the new characteristics of innovative productivity in terms of economies of scale, economies of scope, and economies of network. As the ship or airplane becomes larger and speedier, the less logistics hub required. The more diverse logistics parties integrate each other horizontally or vertically, the higher synergy effects they get. The more systematic concurrent engineering available for global supply chain management such as Korean manufacturers in China, the higher productivity they get. The paper analyzes these three paradigms of logistics into the application for the Korean manufacturers in China and concludes that the Korean government, the companies in China should be more focused on the governance of the logistics and the intermediary such as the 4th party logistics(4PL) is definitely developed its role and functions based on three paradigms above mentioned.

In modern logistics, the effective use of the vehicle volume and loading capacity will reduce the logistic cost. Many heuristic algorithms can solve this knapsack problem, but lots of these algorithms have a drawback, that is, they often fall into locally optimal solutions. A fusion optimization method based on simulated annealing algorithm (SA) and binary particle swarm optimization algorithm (BPSO) is proposed in the paper. We establish a logistics knapsack model of the fusion optimization algorithm. Then, a new model of express logistics simulation system is used for comparing three algorithms. The experiment verifies the effectiveness of the algorithm proposed in this paper. The experimental results show that the use of BPSO-SA algorithm can improve the utilization rate and the load rate of logistics distribution vehicles. So, the number of vehicles used for distribution and the average driving distance will be reduced. The purposes of the logistics knapsack problem optimization are achieved.

Much of the logistics industry has developed, or is developing systems to operate in the new e-market to capture new electronic tailer clients and enhance relationships with current customers. Supply chain solutions based on EC links will eventually become standard, leaving some companies behind. fresh opportunities and reduced entry barriers to new competitors via e-commerce pose a major threat to the present logistics industry. supply chain systems developers and industry consultants that subcontract physical transport of goods to contractors may encroach on traditional logistics industry business. In this paper I tried to explain various aspects of the physical distribution service through international courier service in an e-commerce world and survey the logistics strategy of international courier service companies against development of electronic commerce based on our companies, logistics strategy.

As the economic volume and trade in North-East Asia have dramatically increased, the competition for dominance over the value of logistics among many developed countries has taken a new turn. The Korean government has been planning a strategy for a north-east asian logistics hub in order to increase the global competitiveness of manufacturing companies by promoting a logistics industry. However, the competitiveness of Korean logistics industry is still quite premature compared to global competitors. Taking these accounts into considerations, this study advocates that the structure of Korean logistics companies should be changed from the function of furnishing simple logistics to extending integrated logistics services. It should also shift its focus from executing domestic logistics to meeting international logistics demands and from an execution-focused service to a knowledge-intensive service. The purpose of this study is to explore effective methods for stimulating an integrated logistics industry. Some detailed guidelines and economic interpretations, based upon the results of this research, have been suggested for supporting the related legislation.

The growth of online market is accelerating due to the development of technology and the era of pandemic. In order to deliver the ordered product to customers courier service should be used. In addition, the courier logistics market is growing with the growth of the online market. With the growth of the logistics market, traffic and environmental problems are emerging as social issues. Logistics technology of urban community logistics courier terminal system utilizing vacant space in the city has been developed as a new alternative to environment and traffic problems by increasing logistics efficiency in the city area. In this study, we propose a concept of a system that performs operational concept definition and scenario analysis by applying model-based perspective analysis to urban community logistics courier terminal system under development. Through this study, we defined the operating concept of the urban community logistics courier terminal, which is the target of development, and defined the scenario for system operation by grasping the structure and function of the system and applied it to system development.

The purpose of the study are summarized as follows: First, it has researched the new functions of middleman in Fisheries Port Market. Second, the new functions which middleman have to perform in Fisheries Port Market consist of the origin function, marketing function, logistics function. The origin function consists of the discrimination of fish species and freshness, making the price by auction, financing, etc. Marketing function consists of various species assortment from not only fisheries port market but also non fisheries port market as frozen and import fish markets, finding the new selling markets as not broker but wholesaler, making the price and margin non through the action, processing, etc. Logistics function consist of fish stock, delivery Third, it has recognized the upcoming important problems by building up the new functions as middleman in Fisheries port Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 3 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, regression analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows: The origin function influences positively on the effectiveness of middleman's performance in Fisheries port Market. Marketing function influences positively on the effectiveness of middleman's performance. However, logistics function did not directly influences on the effectiveness of middleman's performance.

The modern logistics has tried not only to convert the conventional packing system into unit load system using pallet but also to enhance the fitness between packing facilities and transport modes. This is based on the goal to reduce total logistics cost using logistics efficiency. Because the packing unit can affect on both loading rate and loading facilities, the basic form of packing unit is very important to the unit load system. In Korea, the standardization of logistics has been centered on pallet, and the basic condition will be continued except of the variety of standardized pallet form. Because of this, to enhance the standardization of pallet, it is necessary to develop new standard size and form of pallet. The object of this study is to develop a new method of collecting the effectiveness of standardized packing module. The new method is based on measure of effectiveness (MOE) which can be developed by expert survey. This study has originality from the fact that the collecting method for effectiveness of pallet standardization has not been developed up to now.

New 5-digit zone code (new postcode) will replace the current 6-digit postcode which has been used for postal automation in 2014. New postcode will be used for processing various works to distinguish location and area in the entire country. For example, it new postcode will be used to denote different administration areas, firefighting and police jurisdiction, weather forecast areas, emergency medical facility areas, social welfare institution areas, election districts, school districts, statistical areas, courier and delivery business areas, and etc. Therefore, the relevant authorities must be cosider for the feasibility and applicability of assigning the new postcode. In postal service, postal process will be affected a lot by new postcode because a postcode has been related with delivery area of a postman. Therefore, we propose assignment scheme for new postcode which will impact less to postal process. Then, we present how we used geographic data for efficient assignment and analysis of the results.

With the rapid development of global economic and trade, the ports in the North-east Asia region have developed rapidly. Ocean shipping plays an irreplaceable role in China's foreign trade. Improvement of China's economy and continuous increase of trade in North-East Asia have made China as the number one in the world in container transport. Tianjin port which is the biggest international trade port in North-east China. Tianjin Binhai New District has incorporated in (CPC Central Committee on the outline of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development proposals) which had adopted by The Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee. However, the competitions between ports are getting intense, the construction of Northeast Asia shipping center is in the ascendant, which bring new opportunity and challenge to the development of Tianjin port logistics. Therefore, Tianjin should according to its characteristics, integrating port resources, exert great efforts in developing port logistics, thus promoting regional economic development. Therefore, it is necessary to make the main study on the development strategy of Tianjin port logistics.
