A new spray chrysanthemum 'Pink Berry' was released by National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Korea in 2007. A cross was made in 2004 between 'Lineker Salmon', a spray cultivar with salmon petals, and 'Baeksokuk', a spray cultivar with white petals. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shade cultivation in summer and retarding cultivation in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Pink Berry' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photo-periodic control. The cultivar has single type flowers with pink petals and a green flower center. It shows long vase life of 22 days and resistance to white rust. The diameter of flower is 52.0 mm. The numbers of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 15.5 and 29.5, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 56 in autumn seasons.

New thornless cultivar of castor aralia(Kalopanax septemlobus Koidz.) was developed and selected in Cheongsong, Prov. of GyeongSangbuk-do during the period from 1994 to 1999 by Korea Forest Research Institute(KFRI). The new thornless cultivar, "Cheongsong II" is characterized by a thinner outer-bark and soft, wider leaves, and is particularly characterized by thornless stems. This cultivar has a thinner outer-bark(8.82mm) when compared with thorned type trees(13.95mm). It also has a larger leaves than does thorned type trees. Consequently, the new thornless cultivar, "Cheongsong II" is defined to have thinner bark and longer and wider leaves than do other thorned type trees. thorned type trees.

절화장미 '해도지' 품종은 전라남도농업기술원에서 육성한 적색 스탠다드 신품종으로 절화수명이 우수한 'Vital'을 모본으로, 화색이 선명한 적색 'Cardinal'를 부본으로 하여 2003년에 인공교배 하였다. 화형과 화색이 예쁘고 꽃잎수가 적합한 2계통을 2004년 1차 선발 하였다. 2005년부터 2007년까지 특성 및 생산력검정을 실시하여 적색이며 묘 양성이 쉽고 줄기가 곧으며 비교적 흰가루병에 강한 특성을 가지고 있으며 수량성도 우수한 '해도지' 품종을 육성하였다. 육성된 품종은 스탠다드 중형계 품종으로 꽃크기가 9.2 cm, 절화장이 62 cm, 절화수명이 9.5일로 줄기가 곧고 흰가루병에 강하고 절화수명이 우수하며 절화수량은 3년 동안의 검정결과 167본/$m^2$/년으로 대비품종 '티아모' (164본/$m^2$/년)에 비해 2% 증가하였다.

Lipoxygenase and Kunitz trypsin inhibitor protein of mature soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] seed are main anti-nutritional factors in soybean seed. A new soybean cultivar, "Gaechuck#1" with the traits of black seed coat, green cotyledon, lipoxygenase2,3 and Kunitz trypsin inhibitor protein free was developed. It was selected from the population derived the cross of "Gyeongsang#1" and C242. Plants of "Gaechuck#1" have a determinate growth habit with purple flowers, brown pubescence, black seed coat, black hilum, oval leaflet shape and brown pods at maturity. Seed protein and oil content on dry weight basis have averaged 39.1% and 16.2%, respectively. It has shown resistant reaction to soybean necrosis, soybean mosaic virus, Cercospora leaf spot and blight, black root rot, pod and stem blight, and soybean pod borer. "Gaechuck#1" matured on 5-10 October with a plant height of 50 cm. The 100-seed weight of "Gaechuck#1" was 23.2g. Yield of "Gaechuck#1" was averaged 2.2 ton/ha from 2005 to 2007.

Lipoxygenase and Kunitz trypsin inhibitor protein are the main antinutritional factor in mature soybean seed. A new soybean cultivar, "Gaechuck#2" with yellow seed coat, lipoxygenase2,3-free and Kunitz trypsin inhibitor protein-free was developed. It was selected from the population derived from the cross between "Jinpumkong2ho" and C242. Plants of "Gaechuck#2" have determinate growth habit with purple flowers, tawny pubescence, yellow seed coat, yellow hilum, oval leaflet shape and brown pods at maturity. Seed protein and oil content on a dry weight basis were 40.7% and 18.7%, respectively. It has shown a resistant reaction to soybean necrosis, soybean mosaic virus, Cercospora leaf spot and blight, black root rot, pod and stem blight, and soybean pod borer. Gaechuck#2 matured in 4 October with plant height of 54cm and a 100-seed weight of 24.4g. Average Yield of Gaechuck#2 was 230 - 250 kg/10a in 2005 - 2007.

농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원에서는 2006년 분홍색 반겹꽃 'Pavlov'와 'Patrick'을 교배하여 얻은 실생계통으로부터 2006년부터 2009년까지 4년 동안의 생육특성검정을 거쳐 화색이 밝고 선명하며 초세가 강건한 대륜계통의 연한 황색(RHS Y9C) 반겹꽃 절화용 거베라 신품종 'Sunny Lemon' 을 품종육성하였다. 꽃의 직경은 11.0 cm인 대륜계통이며, 내화경과 화심장이 각각 7.63 cm와 2.59 cm 정도이다. 정식 후 개화까지의 소요기간이 약 84.5일 정도로 대조품종에 비해 약 2주정도 빠른 조기 개화성 품종으로, 절화수량이 많고 초세가 강건하여 재배농가 기호도가 높아 앞으로 국내 육성품종의 재배면적 확대 및 농가 수입 증대에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원에서는 적색 스탠다드 "Francesco" 품종을 모본으로, 보라색의 스탠다드 "Saturn"를 부본으로 1996년에 인공교배하여 얻은 실생계통으로부터 시들음병 저항성이 강한 자주색 대형 절화용 스탠다드 카네이션을 개체 선발하였다. 1997년부터 2000년까지 생육특성 검정 및 품종평가회를 통한 소비자 기호도 평가를 검정하고 2000년에 농작물 직무육성 신품종 선정 심의회에서 우량품종으로 선정되어 분홍색 스탠다드 "자수정" 품종을 육성하였다. 재배상 유의할 점은 여름철 평난지는 품질이 떨어지므로 고온기 절화는 피하고 화아 발달기에는 야간온도를 $8^{\circ}C$이상 높여주고 주간온도를 $25^{\circ}C$가 넘지 않게 하여 악할이 나오는 것을 방지한다.

'드림문'은 경기도농업기술원에서 2008년도에 육성한 절화용 스프레이 계통의 국화 신품종이다. 이 품종은 2005년도에 황색 스프레이 국화 'Patra (yellow)'품종을 모본으로 하고 분홍색 'Sei-Rosa'품종을 부본으로 인공교배하여 화색과 화형이 우수한 12계통을 예비 선발하였다. 2006-2008년 까지 3차에 거쳐 특성검정과 품평회로 4번째 개체인 'GCS06-27-4'를 최종선발하여 '드림문(Dream Moon)'으로 명명하였다. '드림문' 자연개화기는 10월 하순경으로 전형적인 추국 형태의 품종이며, 고온기인 여름철과 관수를 많을 주었을 경우 화색이 아주 연한 분홍색이 될 가능성이 있어 철저한 관리가 요구된다. 분홍색(PG76D) 스프레이 형태로 3중의 꽃잎이 있는 홑꽃형이며 꽃잎수는 24.6매이고, 화경은 5.6 cm, 엽색은 녹색(Green Group 137B)으로 절화장은 86.6 cm로 중간종이다. 저온동계 검정에 의한 흰녹병 발생은 나타나지 않았으며, 절화 수명은 20.7일로 양호한 편이다.

국내 표고 품종 다양화로 버섯산업 경쟁력을 높이고자 '참아람'과 청흥버섯영농조합 보유균주인 'E140025'을 이용하여 교잡육종법을 통해 '청흥1호'를 육성하였다. 자실체 특성 결과 대조품종 보다 갓직경은 작고, 대길이는 길고, 대가 굵어 개체중이 무거웠다. 초발이기간은 '청흥1호' 24일, '설백향' 4일, '산조701호' 8일로 발이까지 대조품종보다 20일정도 늦었다. 자실체 수량은 가장적게 나타났지만, 유효수량은 '청흥1호' 6,498 g '설백향' 4,290 g, '산조701호' 5,022 g으로 가장 높았다. URP-Primer를 이용한 다형성검정을 통해 6개의 Primer에서 모본과 다른 PCR 밴드를 확인하였다. 이상의 결과, 재배기간이 길지만 개체중과 유효수량이 우수한 무포자 신품종을 육성하였다.

분홍색 스프레이 카네이션 품종 'Lyra'는 노랑색 스프레이 품종 'Ballantyne'와 적색 스프레이 품종 'Chateau'을 인공 교배하여 국립원예특작과학원에서 육성되었다. 'Lyra'는 1999년에 교배하여 2001-2003년까지 품종 특성을 조사하였고, 2003년에 최종 선발하였다. 'Lyra'는 밝은 분홍색 절화 스프레이 품종으로 다 분지성이고 절화장이 길며 향기가 있는 조기 개화성 품종이다. 절화 수명은 7일이고 시들음병에는 중간 정도의 저항성이 있다. 겨울철 야간에는 $8^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 관리하여 하고 햇볕이 약하면 줄기가 연약해 지므로 최대한 햇볕을 많이 받게 해주며 여름철에는 기온이 $30^{\circ}C$ 이상 올라가지 않도록 관리해 주어야 한다.
