윈드캐슬: 밭담(1.5m)의 자연지능에 의한 태풍 제어 II (Wind Castle: Typhoon Control by the Natural Intelligence of Batdam(1.5m) II)

  • 본 논문은 50m/s 태풍에 밭담이 안 무너지는 이유를 연돌효과(Stack Effect)의 순환(Circulation)에 의해 증명했고 이에 따른 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울이 농작물과의 상관관계를 추적했다. 외담으로 쌓은 밭담은 밭에 쌓아놓으면 등속직선운동과 같은 관성을 가져 아무리 강하게 부는 바람에도 버텨 나가면서 윈드캐슬 3rd Layer 역할을 22,000km 걸쳐 해내는 Magic Wall이다. 밭담이 1.5미터, 오름은 밭담의 200배, 한라산은 밭담의 1,300배인 이유와 특성함수의 공진에 대해 분석했다. 본 논문은 자연 기후변화에 적응하여 밭담을 쌓아 계절 특성에 맞는 농사를 짓는 밭담의 높이, 중성대의 높이를 유도하고 자연지능 제어 관계를 설계했다.

Effect of Taping on Lumbar Kinematics and Muscle Activities During Typing in Individuals With Nonspecific Chronic Low Back Pain

  • Prolonged sitting can contribute to low back pain. The lumbar taping can be applied to correct the sitting posture. This study aimed to investigate the effect of lumbar taping on lumbar kinematics and the muscle activities of multifidus (MF) and internal oblique in the individuals with nonspecific chronic low back pain (NSCLBP) as they type for 30 minutes. Nineteen subjects with NSCLBP (9 people in non taping group and 10 people in taping group) were recruited. Lumbar taping was applied to the taping group before typing. Both groups started typing in a neutral sitting position with their feet on the floor. The change of posture and S2 posterior tilting (S2P) were measured to investigate kinematic data. Three sensors were attached on T12, L3, and S2 to identify the change of posture. Surface electromyography was used to measure the muscle activities. Palpation meter was used to standardize the angle of pelvic tilt in sagittal plane before typing. All instruments were used to measure each data before and after typing. Independent t-test was used to compare the changing values of lumbar kinematics and muscle activities before and after typing between both groups. The changing values of S2P and change of posture of L3 and S2 were significantly smaller in the taping group compared to the non taping group (p<.05). The changing value of muscle activities of MF between before and after typing was significantly smaller in the taping group compared to the non taping group (p<.05). In conclusion, the lumbar taping during the 30-minute typing task can be applied to maintain correct sitting posture in the lumbar and pelvis and to maintain activation of MF.

압밀해석을 통한 부마찰이 작용하는 단독말뚝의 거동분석 (A Study of the Influence of Negative Skin Friction on Single Piles from Consolidation Analyses)

  • 본 연구에서는 2차원 유한요소해석을 통하여 부마찰(negative skin friction) 이 작용하는 단독말뚝의 거동을 분석하였다. 압밀의 진행에 따른 부마찰의 변화를 검토하기 위하여 압밀해석을 실시하였으며, 말뚝과 주변지반 사이에서의 항복(yielding, slip)을 고려하였다. 일반적으로 널리 사용되는 -방법에 의해 부마찰력을 산정하는 경우 중립면 부근에서의 전단강도의 부분발현 및 지중응력의 감소를 반영할 수 없기 때문에 정밀유한요소 해석에 비하여 부마찰력이 25% 정도 과하게 평가된다. 압밀이 진행 중일 때 말뚝과 지반사이 대부분의 구간에서 항복이 발생하는 경우 더 이상의 부마찰력의 증가는 그리 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 부마찰이 발생하는 말뚝에 코팅을 실시하는 경우 부마찰력의 크기 및 말뚝의 침하를 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있으나, 말뚝두부에 상재하중이 작용할 때 말뚝의 선단이 충분히 견고한 지지층에 설치되어 있지 않은 경우 말뚝의 마찰저항력이 매우 작아서 말뚝에 큰 침하가 발생할 우려가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study of Galactic Molecular Clouds through Multiwavelength Observations

  • We focus on two Galactic molecular clouds that are located in wholly different environments and both are observed by FIMS instrument onboard STSAT-1. The Draco cloud is known as a translucent molecular cloud at high Galactic latitude. The FUV spectra show important ionic lines of C IV, Si IV+O IV], Si II* and Al II, indicating the existence of hot and warm interstellar gases in the region. The enhanced C IV emission inside the Draco cloud region is attributable to the turbulent mixing of the interacting cold and warm/hot media, which is supported by the detection of the O III] emission line and the $H{\alpha}$ feature in this region. The Si II* emission covers the remainder of the region outside the Draco cloud, in agreement with previous observations of Galactic halos. Additionally, the H2 fluorescent map is consistent with the morphology of the atomic neutral hydrogen and dust emission of the Draco cloud. In the Aquila Rift region near Galactic plane, FIMS observed that the FUV continuum emission from the core of the Aquila Rift suffers heavy dust extinction. The entire field is divided into three sub-regions that are known as the- "halo," "diffuse," and "star-forming" regions. The "diffuse" and "star-forming" regions show various prominent H2 fluorescent emission lines, while the "halo" region indicates the general ubiquitous characteristics of H2. The CLOUD model and the FUV line ratio are included here to investigate the physical conditions of each sub-region. Finally, the development of an infrared imaging system known as the MIRIS instrument onboard STSAT-3 is briefly introduced. It can be used in WIM studies through $Pa{\alpha}$ observations.

어깨관절 가쪽돌림이 팔을 올리는 동안 어깨뼈 위쪽돌림근의 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Shoulder External Rotation on EMG Activity of the Scapular Upward Rotators during Arm Elevation)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of shoulder external rotation on muscle activities of the scapular upward rotators during arm elevation. METHODS: Nineteen healthy subjects with no medical history of shoulder pain or upper extremity disorders were recruited for this study. Electromyography (EMG) was used to measure the muscle activities of the serratus anterior (SA), upper trapezius (UP), lower trapezius (LT) and infraspinatus (IS) muscles during arm elevation. The EMG activities were recorded while the subjects performed $90^{\circ}$ arm elevation with three different arm positions; palm down (PD), neutral position (NP), and palm up (PU). While seated in a chair, the subject was asked to raise the upper extremity in the sagittal plane in random order. Subjects performed $90^{\circ}$ arm elevations in three trials at each arm position. The mean EMG activity normalized by the maximal voluntary isometric contraction was analyzed across three arm positions. Repeated measures one-way ANOVA and the post hoc Bonferroni tests were used to determine the differences in muscle activities among the three arm positions. RESULTS: The EMG activities of the SA and IS were significantly greater in the PU condition than in the other conditions during arm elevation. No significant difference was noted between the NP and PD conditions during arm elevation. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that shoulder external rotation (palm up position) can be used to activate the SA. Therefore, we recommend a scapular protraction exercise in the palm up position for strengthening the SA.

배연창의 개방층 설정방식에 따른 배연성능 평가 연구(제주지역 중심으로) (Performance Evaluation of a Natural Smoke Ventilator in Jeju)

  • 본 연구에서는 연기로부터 재실자의 안전을 확보하기 위해 설치되는 배연창의 개방층 설정방식에 따른 배연성능을 바람이 강한 제주지역을 대상으로 CONTAM 모델링 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 분석되어진 결과는 육지와 큰 차이를 보이는 제주도의 지형과 특정 외기온도 및 외기풍속 등, 대표적인 변수에 대한 배연창의 배연성능에 대한 평가연구로 경향성을 판단하는데 한정되어야 한다. 분석결과, 배연창의 개방이나 외부 바람의 영향은 건축물의 중성면을 상승시켜 배연창의 배연성능에 많은 영향을 초래하는 것으로 나타났다. 배연창의 개방층 설정방식에 따른 배연성능은 화재층 개방방식이 가장 우수하게 나타났으며 화재층 및 직상층 개방방식은 화재층 개방방식보다 조금 성능이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 전 층 개방방식의 경우 배연성능이 아주 떨어져 외기의 다량 유입으로 배연성능을 전혀 기대할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다.

용융알루미늄 도금 강판 상에 스퍼터링법으로 형성된 마그네슘 코팅막에 의한 내식성 향상 (Improvement of Corrosion Resistance by Mg Films Deposited on Hot Dip Aluminized Steel using a Sputtering Method)

  • In this study, Mg films were prepared on hot dip aluminized steel (HDA) by using a sputtering method as a high corrosion resistance coating. The corrosion resistance of the Mg films was improved by controlling the morphology and the crystal structure of films by adjusting the Ar gas pressure during the coating process. Anodic polarization measurement results confirm that the corrosion resistance of the Mg films was affected by surface morphology and crystal structure. The corrosion resistance of the Mg coated HDA specimen increased with decreasing crystal size of the Mg coating and it was also improved by forming a film with denser morphology. The crystal structure oriented at Mg(101) plane showed the best corrosion resistance among crystal planes of the Mg metals, which is attributed to its relatively low surface energy. Neutral salt spray test confirmed that corrosion resistance of HDA can be greatly improved by Mg coating, which is superior to that of HDG (hot dip galvanized steel). The reason for the improvement of the corrosion resistance of Mg films on hot dip aluminized steel was due to the barrier effect by the Mg corrosion products formed by the corrosion of the Mg coating layer.

  • 2015 개정 중학교 1학년 수학 교과서 총 10종을 대상으로 분석틀에 근거하여 교과서 체제별로 그래프의 표현과 해석에 관한 요소를 빈도 분석하고 교차분석 하였으며, 그래프 내용에 관한 학생들의 만족도를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 전반적으로 교과서에 그래프의 표현보다 해석에 관한 문항이 더 많이 수록되어 있으며, 또 학생들은 그래프 단원에 학습 효과는 보였지만 해당 학습에 관한 감동 여부에는 중립적인 반응을 보였다.

순간적인 화학물질 누출에 따른 초기 피해영향 범위 산정을 위한 분산모델 연구 (Dispersion Model of Initial Consequence Analysis for Instantaneous Chemical Release)

  • Most factories deal with toxic or flammable chemicals in their industrial processes. These hazardous substances pose a risk of leakage due to accidents, such as fire and explosion. In the event of chemical release, massive casualties and property damage can result; hence, quantitative risk prediction and assessment are necessary. Several methods are available for evaluating chemical dispersion in the atmosphere, and most analyses are considered neutral in dispersion models and under far-field wind condition. The foregoing assumption renders a model valid only after a considerable time has elapsed from the moment chemicals are released or dispersed from a source. Hence, an initial dispersion model is required to assess risk quantitatively and predict the extent of damage because the most dangerous locations are those near a leak source. In this study, the dispersion model for initial consequence analysis was developed with three-dimensional unsteady advective diffusion equation. In this expression, instantaneous leakage is assumed as a puff, and wind velocity is considered as a coordinate transform in the solution. To minimize the buoyant force, ethane is used as leaked fuel, and two different diffusion coefficients are introduced. The calculated concentration field with a molecular diffusion coefficient shows a moving circular iso-line in the horizontal plane. The maximum concentration decreases as time progresses and distance increases. In the case of using a coefficient for turbulent diffusion, the dispersion along the wind velocity direction is enhanced, and an elliptic iso-contour line is found. The result yielded by a widely used commercial program, ALOHA, was compared with the end point of the lower explosion limit. In the future, we plan to build a more accurate and general initial risk assessment model by considering the turbulence diffusion and buoyancy effect on dispersion.

구속모형시험을 통한 잠수함 선형의 수상 조건 조종성능 추정 연구 (Prediction of Maneuverability of a Submarine at Surface Condition by Captive Model Test)

  • In this paper, the results of Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM) test for a 1/15 scaled model of the MARIN Joubert BB2 submarine is dealt with to derive the maneuvering coefficients for surface condition. For the depth of surface navigation, the top of the sail was exposed 0.46 m above the water surface in the model scale, and it corresponds to 6.9 m in the full scale. The resistance and self-propulsion tests were conducted, and the model's self-propulsion point was obtained for 1.328 m/s, which corresponded to 10 knots in the full scale. The maneuvering tests were performed at the model's self-propulsion point, and the maneuvering coefficients were obtained. Based on the maneuvering coefficients, a turning simulation was performed for starboard 30 degree of stern fins. The straight-line stability and control effectiveness in the horizontal plane were analyzed using the maneuvering coefficients and compared with the appropriate range. For the analysis of the neutral fin angle of the X-type stern fin, the stern fin test with drift angles was carried out. As a result, the flow straightening effect at lower and upper parts of the stern fin was discussed.
