  • This research aimed to investigate the effects of neurofeedback training on unilateral neglect and depression in patients with stroke. Fourteen of the subjects were selected from the experimental group and the control group respectively; the following results were obtained. First, experimental group and the control group presented significant statistical difference before and after intervention on neglect. However, there is after intervention no significant statistical among them. Two, experimental group and the control group presented significant statistical difference before and after intervention on depression, and the experimental group demonstrated more decrease than the control group in depression. The results obtained from this research expect us that applying the neurofeedback training for the improvement of neglect and depression, to stroke patients has a positive effect on the rehabilitation of patients.

  • This study explored the effects of neurofeedback on electroencephalogram, impulsivity, sensation seeking, game addiction symptoms and game craving of university students with game addiction symptoms. Twelve university students participated in this study, six were assigned to the experimental group, and the rest were assigned to the control group. The experiment group received 20 sessions of neurofeedback, but the control group received any treatment. The neurofeedback group showed more significant improvement in EEG, game addiction symptom severity and impulsivity than control group, and the improvements were maintained at follow up.

  • This study was to examine the effectiveness of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 52 (experimental group 26. comparative group 26) subjects who have shown self regulation ability. The study took place at neuro-training center B, in between the months of Jan. 2008 and Dec. 2008. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the tool used to measure the self regulation ability was 5 Likert Scale questionnaire. The result confirmed the differences of both self regulation quotient, training protocol, upper deviation and questionnaire. The result of the study suggest prefrontal lobe neurofeedback technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects' self regulation ability. This result suggested that follow-up researches should be figuring out more detailed explanations for journal of adolescent welfare.

  • In this paper, the effect of neurofeedback training program on attention ability of ADHD children is studied. The main concept of a neurofeedback training program is a robot control with brain wave. To do this, Mindset(neurosky, ltd) was used as a brain wave measurement and lego NXT was used to a robot kit. The developed brain wave training program has a 12 chapter. Students meet a problem situation and they invent and make a problem solving robot with NXT kits. After that, they control the their own robot by their brain wave. Developed program was applied to 8 student who live in chunan area. To monitor a change of attention ability, attention behavior checklist, K-CBCL, CTRS-R, ADS were used. These checklist were recorded with before and after the program. The result shows that student attention ability is increase after the program in the most of the checklist.

  • We have cared for a 13years old boy, who has Tourette Syndrome and symptoms of vocal tic and motor tic for 5years, since 9months ago. We have treated him with korean herb medicine, 8-constitution acupuncture, Chimsband, Neurofeedback, EFT therapy. After taking treatment, his YGTSS score was down to 38 from 119, and his tic symtoms altered for the better. We think korean herb medicine had a powerful effect and Neurofeedback was effective. Especially, SMR Beta Training of all programs of Neurofeedback was effective and well-directed. The EFT program helped him improved also, but it need much of time to apply. When we evaluated the condition of patient who was under the Cans 3000, we could not find any relationship between tic symtoms and Cans 3000. When we treat Tourette Syndrome, having the patience is important at a distance of time. Because Tourette Syndrome is a kind of unstable symptoms, so we would not care to predict what the result will be in a brief space of time.

  • Objective : This study was to evaluate the effects of a Neurofeedback(NFB) and Computer Assisted Cognitive Rehabilitation(CACR) training to improve on cognition and affected arm function in stroke subjects. Methods : Participants were randomly allocated to three groups: NFB(n=14), CACR(n=14) and control(n=16). All groups received occupational therapy and physical therapy for 5 session 30 minutes per week during 6 weeks. Also NFB and CACR group practiced additional NeuroComp training and RehaCom training for 30 sessions 30 minutes during 6 weeks. Results were evaluated by cognition, affected arm function. Results : There were significantly increased by CACR training that outcomes of MMSE-K(p<.05). And there weren't significantly difference by NFB and CACR training that outcomes of the affected arm function. And a difference between three groups wasn't found. Conclusion : The NFB and CACR training improves cognitive function. These results suggest that NFB and CACR training is feasible and suitable for individuals with stroke.

  • This study has been made to research effect of neurofeedback training on the Brain Quotient and baduk strength whose EEC data were obtained both before and after the neurofeedback training from 15th June, to 15th September in 2007. Brain waves were measured on the frontal lobes of subjects (30 baduk players - the experimental group 15 under neuroffedback training and the control group 15 subjects) and analyzed by calculating eight brain quotients characterizing behaviors of EEG rhythms effectively. The results of the analysis show that the experimental group has the higher indexes Attention Quotient(left) p=.041, (right)p=.007, Stress Quotient (left) p=.020, and Stress Quotient (right) p=.019 show statistically significant difference between two groups. The research data show that the experimental group have the higher average than the control group in Baduk strength examination p=.021 after the neuroffedback training. As the brain waves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the brain function quotients can reflect the functional states of the brain.

  • This study was to examine the effectiveness of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 16(Primary Student 6, middle school student10) student who have shown resistance stress and body stress, mental stress. The study was examined at S city M dong A hearing impairments student, from Mar. 2008 and to Feb. 2009. The methodology used in the study is the Coloring Analysis Program of the Brain Quotient Test. As the brain waves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the brain function quotients can reflect the functional states of the brain. The training took place two times a week, for about 40 minutes per session. The result confirmed the differences of both resistance stress quotient and body stress, mental stress. The results of the analysis show that neurofeedback training plays positive role in changing the brain function. Therefore, the result of the study shows that there is possibility that Neuro Feedback technique might be positively affecting resistance stress of the hearing impairments student, relationship between neurofeedback training and stress among several categories.

  • Purpose : To identify trends in studies on the intersection of neurofeedback (NF) training and rehabilitation interventions for patients with stroke, as conducted over the past decade. Methods : This review included studies published from 2012 to 2022. A comprehensive database search was conducted using keywords such as "stroke", "electroencephalogram (EEG)", "brain wave", "nerve feedback", and "upper extremity function". Results : A total of 703 studies were initially retrieved. Of these, literature predating 2012, duplicate literature, non-experimental studies, and studies that did not target patients with stroke were excluded. After this screening, we retrieved the full texts of 15 articles and re-checked whether each study met the inclusion criteria of this study. The advisory members who participated in this study consisted of people with doctoral degrees and more than 5 years of clinical experience related to the rehabilitation of patients with stroke. Disagreements were resolved through discussions. Ultimately, 8 papers met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. Despite differences in the type and duration of NF training, the combination of NF training and rehabilitation intervention was found to be effective in promoting the functional recovery of the upper extremities, eliciting positive EEG changes, and inducing neurological changes in the brain. Conclusion : A meta-analysis involving a wider search range is needed in future studies. In addition, efforts are required to generalize the clinical application of these interventions. This can be achieved by supplementing the research methodologies through extensive review studies that encompass a diverse array of study designs.
