  • This paper is proposed adaptive hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller for high performance of induction motor drive. The design of this algorithm based on fuzzy-neural network(FNN) controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural network. This controller uses fuzzy rule as training patterns of a neural network. Also, this controller uses the back-propagation method to adjust the weights between the neurons of neural network in order to minimize the error between the command output and actual output. A model reference adaptive scheme is proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed by fuzzy logic based on the error and change of error measured between the motor speed and output of a reference model. The control performance of the adaptive FNN controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. The results of experiment prove that the proposed control system has strong high performance and robustness to parameter variation, and steady-state accuracy and transient response.

  • This paper presents the automatic recognition system for car number plate. In our country, two types of number plate pattern is used. The one is old type of number plate, the other is new type of number plate. To recognize both new and old type number plates, the system must have flexibility. Therefore, in this paper, automatic recognition system is developed by use of the neural network for good adaptation, good generalization, and modulation. And because the number plate is made of three codes, the multi neural network consists of three networks. Neural network is teamed by GDR(Generalized Delta learning Rule) and it is verified the effectiveness of the method through experimental results.

  • Neural network is a computational model of ft biological nervous system developed ID exploit its intelligence and parallelism. Applying neural networks so robots creates many advantages over conventional control methods such as learning, real-time control, and continuous performance improvement through training and adaptation. In this paper, dynamic control of a six-link robot will be presented using neural networks. The neural network model used in this paper is the backpropagation network. Simulated control of the PUMA 560 am shows that it can move a high speed as well as adapt to unforseen load changes and sensor noise. The results are compared with the conventional PD control scheme.

  • This paper describes a neural network based fuzzy type PID control scheme. The PID controller is being widely used in industrial applications. however, it is difficult to determine the appropriate PID gains for (he nonlinear system control. In this paper, we re-analyzed the fuzzy controller as conventional PID controller structure, and proposed a neural network based fuzzy type PID controller whose scaling factors were adjusted automatically. The value of initial scaling factors of the proposed controller were determined on the basis of the conventional PID controller parameters tuning methods and then they were adjusted by using neural network control techniques. Proposed controller was simple in structure and computational burden was small so that on-line adaptation was easy to apply to. The result of practical experiment on the magnetic levitation system, which is known to be hard nonlinear, showed the proposed controller's excellent performance.

  • In this paper, this system makes use of the analog sensor and converts the feature of fish analog signal when sensor is operating with CPU(80C196KC). Then, After signal processing, this feature Is classified a special feature and a outline of fish by using the neural network, one of the artificial intelligence scheme. This neural network classifies fish pattern of very simple and short calculation. This has linear activation function and the error backpropagation is used as a learning algorithm. And the neural network is learned in off-line process. Because an adaptation period of neural network is too long time when random initial weights are used, off-line learning Is induced to decrease the Progress time We confirmed this method has better performance than somewhat outdated machines.

  • This paper presents a new adaptive autopilot for ships based on the Adaptive Neural Networks. The proposed adaptive autopilot is designed with some modifications and improvements from the previous studies on Adaptive Neural Networks by Adaptive Interaction (ANNAI) theory to perform course-keeping, turning and track-keeping control. A strategy for automatic selection c! the neural network controller parameters is introduced to improve the adaptation ability and the robustness of new ANNAI autopilot. In Part II of the paper, to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed ANNAI autopilot, computer simulations of course-keeping and track-keeping tasks with and without the effects of measurement noise and external disturbances are presented.

  • This paper proposes the algorithm of servo- writing based on feedback error learning neural networks. The controller consists of feedback controller using PID and feedforward controller using gaussian radial basis function network. Because the RBFNs are trained by on-line rule, the controller has adaptation capability. The performance of the proposed controller is compared to that of conventional PID controller. Proposed algorithm shows better performance than PID controller.
