FA를 위한 통합형 이더넷 통신 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Integrated Ethernet Communication System for FA)

  • 최근 공개 표준과 통합 네트워크에 대한 요구가 증가하며, 하위 제어 계층에서도 이더넷 네트워크를 기반으로 한 시스템의 도입이 증가하고 있다. TCP/IP 기반의 네트워크를 상위 계층에서 하위 제어 계층까지 사용하는 방식으로 확장함으로써 공장 자동화용 애플리케이션을 이더넷 상에서 구현, 상위 관리 프로그램 및 DB 시스템과 직접 연동되는 통합 망 개념의 공장 자동화 시스템을 완성할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서 구현된 시스템은 공장 자동화 전용 이더넷 제어 시스템의 국제 표준인 Ethernet/IP 표준 시스템을 기반으로 하는 제어용 통신 디바이스를 구현하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 본 논문에서 구현된 시스템은 CIP의 표준 인터페이스에 기반한 네트워킹 기능을 수행하며, 이더넷 네트워크 환경이 다른 제어 시스템의 규격에 비하여 큰 대역폭을 갖고 있는 시스템이므로 네트워크의 데이터 전송 특성을 상당히 개선됨을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

LQG/LTR 기법을 적용한 원격제어시스템의 가상모델과 강건제어기의 설계 (Design of Robust Controller and Virtual Model of Remote Control System using LQG/LTR)

  • In this paper, we introduce the improved control method are communicated between a master and a slave robot in the teleoperation systems. When the master and slave robots are located in different places, time delay is unavoidable under the network environment and it is well known that the system can become unstable when even a small time delay exists in the communication channel. The time delay may cause instability in teleoperation systems especially if those systems include haptic feedback. This paper presents a control scheme based on the estimator with virtual master model in teleoperation systems over the network. As the behavior of virtual model is tracking the one of master model, the operator can control real master robot by manipulating the virtual robot. And LQG/LTR scheme was adopted for the compensation of un-modeled dynamics. The approach is based on virtual master model, which has been implemented on a robot over the network. Its performance is verified by the computer simulation and the experiment.

복합 퍼지모델을 이용한 디맨드 예측 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Demand Forecasting Control using A Composite Fuzzy Model)

  • This paper presents an industrial peak load management system for the peak demand control. Kohonen neural network and wavelet transform based techniques are adopted for industrial peak load forecasting that will be used as input data of the peak demand control. Firstly, one year of historical load data of a steel company were sorted and clustered into several groups using Kohonen neural network and then wavelet transforms are applied with Biorthogonal 1.3 mother wavelet in order to forecast the peak load of one minute ahead. In addition, for the peak demand control, composite fuzzy model is proposed and implemented in this work. The results are compared with those of conventional model, fuzzy model and composite model, respectively. The outcome of the study clearly indicates that the composite fuzzy model approach can be used as an attractive and effective means of the peak demand control.

산업제어망 보안 컴플라이언스를 위한 패치 영향성 평가 방안에 관한 실증 연구 (A Empirical Study on the Patch Impact Assessment Method for Industrial Control Network Security Compliance)

  • 산업제어망은 대부분 독립된 폐쇄망으로 설치 이후 장기적으로 운영되면서 OS가 업데이트 되지 않아 보안 위협이 증가하고 보안 취약성이 존재한다. 제로 데이 공격 방어에는 최신 패치 적용이 필수로 이루어져야 하지만 대규모 산업망에서는 물리적인 장치를 직접 다루는 특성으로 더 높은 실시간성과 무중단 운영이 요구되기 때문에 실 운영 중인 시스템에 적용하기 어렵다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 신뢰로운 패치 적용을 위한 유틸리티사 고유의 패치 영향성 평가가 필요하다. 본 논문은 패치 시험에 대한 개념설계로부터 시스템 구현과 실증적용을 아우르고 있다. 패치 영향성 평가 방법론으로서 패치를 적용하기 전과 후의 시스템 고유 기능, 성능, 행위를 기반으로 시험 유형을 분류하고 반복 실험을 통해 패치의 안전성을 판정하는 최대 허용치를 제안하였다. 이후 산업제어망에 직접 적용한 결과 99.99% 가용성을 보장하면서 OS패치가 업데이트 되었다.

  • This Paper deals with the economical equipment control which is used by internet network system at the industrial workplace. If the control devices can be accessed by internet, we can have the developed possibility of work conditions. in this paper, we presented the advanced digital timer which has a communication function to control and observe panel to realize control solution based on internet to be easily applicable at workplace with low cost, and we used RS-485 serial communication module to have parallel expansibility and safety. And, this system was experimented and designed for easy system management and status check from remote station through internet. As the result for experiment, the circuit configuration would be more simplified than the existing, and it is expected that multi connection control and monitoring can be simply implemented with low cost equipment at industrial workplace.

Using Harmonic Analysis and Optimization to Study Macromolecular Dynamics

  • Mechanical system dynamics plays an important role in the area of computational structural biology. Elastic network models (ENMs) for macromolecules (e.g., polymers, proteins, and nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA) have been developed to understand the relationship between their structure and biological function. For example. a protein, which is basically a folded polypeptide chain, can be simply modeled as a mass-spring system from the mechanical viewpoint. Since the conformational flexibility of a protein is dominantly subject to its chemical bond interactions (e.g., covalent bonds, salt bridges, and hydrogen bonds), these constraints can be modeled as linear spring connections between spatially proximal representatives in a variety of coarse-grained ENMs. Coarse-graining approaches enable one to simulate harmonic and anharmonic motions of large macromolecules in a PC, while all-atom based molecular dynamics (MD) simulation has been conventionally performed with an aid of supercomputer. A harmonic analysis of a macroscopic mechanical system, called normal mode analysis, has been adopted to analyze thermal fluctuations of a microscopic biological system around its equilibrium state. Furthermore, a structure-based system optimization, called elastic network interpolation, has been developed to predict nonlinear transition (or folding) pathways between two different functional states of a same macromolecule. The good agreement of simulation and experiment allows the employment of coarse-grained ENMs as a versatile tool for the study of macromolecular dynamics.

  • This paper introduces the key features of NCS (Network based Control System), which is quite a new concept in the industrial automation market. Two control systems "DCS" and "PLC" have been recognized as control systems used for process and factory automation during the past decades. However, the market requires more complex functionality, such as monitoring and operation, alarm handling and notification from remote locations using the Web or e-mail. Besides enhancing functionality, interoperability between each device and system is highly required since network and engineering tools provided by many vendors do not cooperate with each others, so that lots of conversion, reconfiguration and reprogramming are required when expanding systems. NCS can meet this requirement, installing leading-edged IT technology using international standards for network and engineering environment. NCS, which is a harmony of web functionality, networkability and a reliable control function, enables information integration and responding to the market's requirements with agility and high reliability.

지능형 멀티 캐스팅 방송 시스템의 개발 (Development of the Intelligent Multi-Casting System)

  • 본 논문에서는 학교, 병원, 관공서와 같은 공공기관에서 사용할 수 있는 멀티 캐스팅 방송 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 멀티 캐스팅 방송 시스템은 다양한 멀티미디어 교육매체를 활용할 수 있도록 하였으며, 네트워크를 이용한 원격 제어가 가능하도록 고려하였다. 또한 개발된 방송 시스템은 선택적 개별 방송과 그룹 방송이 가능한 스피커 제어 모듈과 다양한 교육매체의 효율적인 활용을 위한 AV 콘텐츠 제어 모듈 및 조명 제어 모듈을 포함하고 있다. 그리고 통신과정에서는 외란에 강인한 RS-485C 통신을 이용하였으며, 사용자 중심의 GUI 기반 통합 제어 시스템을 개발하여 운영의 효율성 향상을 모색하였다.

  • A vacuum chamber temperature control system of Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) storage ring is a subsystem upgraded PAL control system, which is based upon Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) [1]. There are two control components, data acquisition system (SA120 data logger), development control system IOC (Input/Output Controller) at the storage ring of PAL. There are 240 vacuum chamber at the storage ring. It was a very important problem to solve how to monitor such a large number of vacuum chamber temperature distributed around the ring. The IOC connect MODBUS/JBUS field network to asynchronous serial ports for communication with serial device. It can simultaneously control up to 4 data acquisition systems. Upon receiving a command from a IOC running under Windows2k through the network, the IOC communicate through the slave serial interface ports to SA120. We added some software components on the top of EPICS toolkit. The design of the vacuum control system is discussed. This paper describes the development vacuum chamber temperature control system and how the design of this system.

CONWIP 통제방식에 의해 운영되는 다품목 생산시스템의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of a Multi - Item Production System Operated by the CONWIP Control Mechanism)

  • We study a multi-component production/inventory system in which individual components are made to meet various demand types. We assume that the demands arrive according to a Poisson process, but there is a fixed probability that a demand requests a particular kit of different components. Each component is produced by a flow line with several stations. The production of each component is operated by the CONWIP control mechanism. To analyse this system, we propose an approximation method based on aggregation method. In application of the aggregation method, a product-form approximation technique as well as a matrix-geometric method is used. Comparisons with simulation show that the approximation method provides fairly good results.
