네트워크 기반 자율이동로봇의 장애물 회피 알고리즘 개발 (Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm Development for Network-Based Autonomous Mobile Robots)

  • In this paper, an obstacle avoidance algorithm is proposed for a network-based robot considering network delay by distribution. The proposed algorithm is based on the VFH(Vector Field Histogram) algorithm, and for the network-based robot system, in which it is assumed robot localization information is transmitted through network communication. In this paper, target vector for the VFH algorithm is estimated through the robot localization information and the measurement of its delay by distribution. The delay measurement is performed by time-stamp method. To synchronize all local clocks of the nodes distributed on the network, a global clock synchronization method is adopted. With the delay measurement, the robot localization estimation is performed by calculating the kinematics of the robot. The validation of the proposed algorithm is performed through the performance comparison of the obstacle avoidance between the proposed algorithm and the existing VFH algorithm on the network-based autonomous mobile robot.

  • 본 논문에서는 UDP에서의 동적 흐름 제어기법을 제안하며, 기존의 동적 흐름제어에서 많이 사용되는 측정 요소인 패킷 손실과 왕복시간의 특성에 대해 분석한 후 새로운 측정요소인 RSTT를 제안한다. 제안된 RSTT를 사용한 알고리즘은 전송률을 조절하는데 있어서 현재 측정된 네트워크 상태와 과거의 상태를 고려함으로써 보다 정확한 네트워크 상태측정을 할 수 있었다. 비교실험을 위하여 전송량과 네트워크의 상태를 출력하고 네트워크의 흐름패턴에 대한 상세 정보를 보여주는 네트워크 상태측정 프로그램을 구현하였다. 이를 이용한 성능실험을 통해 제안된 알고리듬이 기존 알고리듬에 비해 낮은 패킷 손실률로 네트워크 상태에 더욱 빠르게 적응함을 보여준다.

Measures to Improve the Efficiency of the Portable Air Quality Measurement System

  • Purpose: In this study, pollutants generated in industrial areas were measured using a Portable Air Quality Measurement System(PAQMS). This study intends to examine in detail improvement measures and operational capabilities to operate a more efficient PAQMS. Research design, data and methodology: This study compares and analyzes the measurement values of the PAQMS and the measurement values of the national air quality measurement network. It is intended to develop a PAQMS corresponding to the data of the national measurement network by minimizing the errors that occur during comparative measurement and analysis and supplementing and improving the problems that occur during the current equipment calibration. Results: A PAQMS is an essential equipment for faster and more accurate measurement and analysis of pollutants in case of untimely measurement and civil complaints due to Micro Climate(local weather and environmental influences). Currently, there are many atmospheric measurement equipment in Korea, but only equipment for each item is produced and sold. Currently, these devices on the market must satisfy various conditions such as stable power, temperature, and humidity to calculate accurate measurement values. Conclusions: Therefore, there is no equipment that satisfies the conditions for performing detailed measurement in the field where accurate measurement is required. In this study, these field work conditions and contents for stable measurement were mentioned in the text.

수처리 계측제어설비 노드들 간의 무선 안전 전송을 위한 MS-WP 암호 프로세서에 관한 연구 (A Study on the MS-WP Cryptographic Processor for Wireless Security Transmission Network among Nodes of Water-Processing Measurement-Control-Equipment)

  • 광범위한 지역의 센서들로부터 데이터를 획득, 제어, 감시 등을 수행하는 계측제어기는 중앙 제어실과 유기적 관계를 유지한다. 그러므로 계측제어기는 유선망보다 무선망이 효율적이다. 그러나 무선망을 이용하게 되면 외부로부터 안전성에 커다란 문제가 발생된다. 그러므로 본 논문은 계측제어기의 네트워크 효율성을 증대시키기 위하여 계측제어 무선망에 적합한 MS-WP 암호시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 MS-WP 암호시스템을 칩 레벨로 구현하여 모의실험을 수행한 결과, AES 알고리즘에 비하여 130% 처리율 증가 및 시스템 효율이 2배 증가됨을 확인하였다. 제안된 MS-WP 암호시스템은 보안성을 증대시키며 저전력화가 가능하고 처리속도가 빨라 계측제어기에 적합할 것이라 사료된다.

효과적인 계측시스템을 위한 IEEE 1451 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the application of IEEE 1451 for efficient measurement system)

  • In this paper, we addressed the IEEE 1451.x that can organize a sensor network for efficient measurement system. IEEE 1451 provides standard interface, specification and Object model for example Network Capable Application Processor(NCAP), Transducer Electronic Data Sheet(TEDS), Smart Transducer Interface Module (STIM) and so on. Especially IEEE 1451.2 defines the TEDS Formats and STIM. The TEDS makes transducer to be used independently from device. NCAP makes the component of measurement system to be handled as an object. Therefore each function block constructs system by using Add-on. IEEE 1451.x can be expend the system with Add-on and Plug-and-Play by using smart sensor and connected with current network. We expect that this method can provide the efficiency and convenience when using the measurement system.

  • As public interest in air quality and environment problem is increasing, many researches are being carried out the gas measurement system. Especially, Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) measurements using Beer-Lambert gas sensing principle with very high selectivity and long life time are noted for reliable method. It is possible to detect various gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), but many researches are mostly concentrated on CO2 sensor. The multi-gas measuring instrument is high price and unwieldy, therefore it is not suitable for wide area required numerous instrument. So we study the NDIR multi-gas measurement system for air quality based on wireless sensor network, and experiment the realized measurement system.

  • In this paper, we dealt with a partial discharge (PD) measurement method that has been accepted as an effective and non-destructive technique to estimate insulation performance of low-voltage induction motors. The PD measurement system consists of a coupling network, a low noise amplifier, and associated electronics. A shielded box was used to reduce environmental noise. Frequency characteristic of the coupling network was estimated by a sinusoidal signal input, and the low cut-off frequency of the coupling network was 1 MHz (-3 dB). Also, we carried out a calibration test for the PD measurement system. Sensitivity of the system was of 84 m$V_{max}$/pC between stator winding and enclosure. In application test on a low-voltage three phase induction motor (5 HP), we could detect 88 pC at AC 800 $V_{max}$.

  • MQTT broker는 트래픽에 따라 네트워크 성능이 저하되어 패킷 손실, 지연 등의 문제가 발생한다. 하지만 MQTT broker는 트래픽 측정을 위한 별도의 인터페이스를 지원하지 않아 네트워크 성능 저하에 대처할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 MQTT broker의 트래픽 측정을 위한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 jnetpcap 라이브러리를 사용하여 MQTT broker로 송수신되는 모든 트래픽을 측정한다.

  • In this study, we analyzed applicability of object database, designed the concept model based on object-oriented idea for measurement data management, and applied the design model to object database. The concept model composes three sub models Infrastructure managing information model, Infrastructure measurement data model, and Measurement unit model. The process to expand measurement data of new type was executed easily without changing database schema in object database. Therefore, applicability of new technology to infrastructures for building a safety management network of road bridges could be increased with object database system.

  • There have been many research works for the indirect cutting force measurement in machining process, which deal with the case of one-axis cutting process. In multi-axis cutting process, the main difficulties to estimate the cutting forces occur when the feed direction is reversed. This paper presents the indirect cutting force measurement method in contour NC milling processes by using current signals of servo motors. An artificial neural network (ANN) system are suggested. An artificial neural network(ANN) system is also implemented with a training set of experimental cutting data to measure cutting force indirectly. The input variables of the ANN system are the motor currents and the feedrates of x and y-axis servo motors, and output variable is the cutting force of each axis. A series of experimental works on the circular interpolated contour milling process with the path of a complete circle has been performed. It is concluded that by comparing the ANN system with a dynamometer measuring cutting force directil, the ANN system has a good performance.
