망지 특성에 따른 방추형 어류의 크기 선택성에 대한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the size selectivity of fusiform fish by the netting characteristics)

  • This study quantitatively evaluated size selectivity for three netting shapes (T0; regular, T45, T90) and hanging ratio (35%, 70%) of T0 netting used for trawl codend. The size selectivity experiment was performed in a tank using a cube experimental model with a length of 50 cm on one side and 389 experimental individuals, jack mackerel (Trachurus japonicus). In the selectivity analysis, a selectivity curve was created based on the selection ratio using a logistic function, and the 25%, 50%, and 70% selection length and selection range (SR) were obtained. The T0 netting was 19.54 cm when the 50% selective length, which is a selectivity evaluation index, had a hanging ratio of 35%, a selection range of 0.51 cm, and 22.70 cm and 3.08 cm for the hanging ratio of 70%. The T45 netting was 24.34 cm and 2.13 cm, and the T90 netting was 23.51 cm and 2.84 cm. The results of the T45 netting and the T90 netting are similar, and the 50% selection length and selection range were relatively larger than the T0 netting. There was a significant difference in the correlation between the circumference of the inner circle of the mesh by the shape of the netting and the body girth of the experimental individual (Pearson test, r = 0.86, p < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the correlation between the selection ratio by the T0 netting, T45 netting, and T90 netting with a 70% hanging ratio (one-way ANOVA, p > 0.05). The results of this study showed that selectivity such as T45 netting and T90 netting appeared when the hanging ratio, which maximizes the area of T0 netting, was maintained at 70%.

발돌의 형상 및 배치 방법의 변화에 따른 모형 가두리 그물의 변형 및 유수저항 특성 (Deformation and flow resistance characteristics of model net cages according to shapes and arrangements of sinkers)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the optimal shapes and arrangements of sinkers attached to net cages to prevent their deformation in a current. A series of model experiments were conducted in a circulating water channel, using 5 different types of sinker(high-weighted ball, low-weighted ball, columntype, egg-shaped and iron bar-framed) and 2 types of square net cage constructed from both Nylon Raschel netting and Nylon knotted netting, on a 1/20th scale. The deflection of the model nets against the flow was smallest with the iron bar-framed weight compared to the other four types of sinker. It was expected that the optimal shapes of sinkers would be either the ball or egg-shape; however, iron bar-framed weight actually had larger drag forces. The dispersed deployment of sinkers on the bottom frames of model net cages performed better with relatively slow flows, while the concentrated deployment at 4 corners functioned better with relatively fast flows, in preventing the nets from becoming severely deformed. The deformation of the net cages was larger for the Nylon knotted netting than the Nylon Raschel netting. With respect to flow resistance, the Nylon Raschel netting, rather than the Nylon knotted netting, was more suitable for construction of net cages.

저예망의 어구형상에 관한 기초적 연구 III (Fundamental Studies on the Net-Shape of the Drag Net ( III ) - The Relationship between the Section Shape and the Porosity of Netting in the Bag Net -)

  • As a primary step in studying the effects of the netting porosity on the net-shape in the four-seam trawling net, a series of experiments were performed changing the porosity of each panel, with the simplified mo:iel of the bag net made of porous vinyl film and that ma:ie of net webbing. These models were suspended horizontally in circularly flowing water, with two pairs of susp~nding threais to four points of symetry at the border of the bag mouth in place of both wing nets. And then, the section shape of the bag mouth photographed and the tensions on both pairs of suspending threads were measured with two load cells in circularly flowing water. From the results, the auther estimated an experimental equation from the relationship between the porosity of each panel in the bag net and the section shape of the bag mouth, h/w=k (l-Pr_u/lPr_s)

탄소섬유 복합재료를 적용한 ANG 연료용기의 최적 형상설계 (Optimal Shape Design of ANG Fuel Vessel Applied to Composite Carbon Fiber)

  • The development of adsorbed natural gas (ANG) has emerged as one of potential solutions. It is desirable to reduce the weight of vessel by applying light-weighed a composite carbon fiber in order to response to a egulation of $CO_2$ emission. Through understanding of a composite carbon fiber, and material characteristic of a composite carbon fiber is required in order for better application of a reduction of weight and an analysis of material characteristic. Herein, this study suggest the composite carbon fiber vessel applied to the characteristic of carbon fiber, and it decides the preliminary shape based on the test of material characteristic for ANG vessel applied to a composite carbon fiber, and its basic shape calculate through on the netting theory. Moreover, the detail shape design is analyzed by a finite element analysis, and in the stage of detail sahp design and analysis of stress was performed on the typical shape using a finite element analysis, and the result of preliminary design was verified.

조선시대 복식의 니트 기법 연구 (The Study on Knitting Techniques in Joseon Dynasty)

  • The knitting, which has developed from the onset of human civilization, has a close relation to dwelling as well as to clothing itself. Its progress has taken shape in a variety of forms according to nature-friendly tools and its knit texture in the past is different from that of modern times. With this basic idea, the work aims at the further study of various knitting structure which triggered the origin of modern techniques, the establishment of those methods, and the finding of what means was utilized earlier based on these. By doing that, this study will provide the foundation in the Korean historical timeframe in knitting field and give definition to knit wear in a historical sense. As to definition, the outcome in the research boils down to two categories. broad meaning and narrow meaning. The former can be the hook-formed textile, referring to making, twisting, or binding the knots. On the other hands, the latter, that is, narrow type, can be the loop-linked fabric which can be defined as modern knitting. The knitting dates back to the ancient way of binding structure, combining structure in other words, and braiding structure and this kept dividing into subgroups like Netting. Nalbinding, Sprang and Crochet as the usage of hands and tools by mankind has got improved. And it changed into knitting and crochet which means a bamboo needle-hook knitting (larger needle type) and a crochet-hook knitting (smaller needle type), respectively through middle ages and modern times and settled down to the production of fabric. In this work, Netting, Nalbinding, Sprang and Crochet are classified as ancient category in which these originate the modern knitting method. Though the modern type of knitting is not found in the Joseon Dynasty, some various methods from the ancient twisting skill and binding skill where the materials with easy access to acquisition in the nature such as rattan, straw, horsehair, hemp, rush, cotton, silk and the like to Netting, Nalbinding and Sprang except Crochet were handed down and used in costume for diverse application. This work can provide the basic frame in terms of Korean history of knitting which has been excluded in the relevant researches until now. When applying the study, it would trigger the initiation of more versatile design with which the previous unique techniques along with modern techniques can be adopted in the clothing market as knit designs gain in public favor more and more.

송사리와 방어의 시각운동반응 (The Optomotor Response of Killifish and Yellowtail)

  • 흑, 적, 녹색의 그물무늬의 시각막을 15.0, 37.4, 62.9cm/sec의 속도로 회전시켰을 때의 송사리 Orizias latipes의 방어 Seriola quinqueradiata의 시각운동반응을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 시각운동반응율은 송사리가 95%, 방어가 94%였다. 2. 송사리가 잘 반응하는 시각막의 색상은 흑, 적, 녹색의 순이며, 흑색에 대한 적, 녹색의 차이는 뚜렷했으나 적색과 녹색의 차이는 뚜렷하지 않았다. 3. 방어가 잘 반응하는 시각막의 색상은 흑, 적, 녹색의 순이며, 색상에 따른 차이는 뚜렷하지 않았다. 4. 시어가 잘 반응하는 시각막의 속도는 62.9, 37.4, 15.0cm/sec의 순이며, 속도에 따른 차이는 뚜렷했다

  • Objectives: This was study about identifying fine seed herbs that are highly mixed together: Celosiae Semen, Celoisae Cristatae Semen, Cuscutae Semen, Perillae Semen. Methods: In non-distinctive herbs through sensory test, we can find accurate discriminative points by using a stereoscope. As a result, a new discriminative key was completed. Results: We identified a comparison of herbs which are mixed up in distribution. 1) In the case of Celosiae Semen and Celoisae Cristatae Semen, Celoisae Cristatae Semen which is mixed up is bigger and more glossy and especially have the sunk umbilicus. 2) In the case of Cuscutae Semen and Perillae Semen, Perillae Semen is discriminated by characteristic morado netting surface and impression of fruit stalk in the single-ended. 3) In the case of Cuscutae Semen which is distributed in three species, we discriminated by beak shape, location of umbilicus and vomiting thread shape or not when put in water. (1) Cuscuta chinensis has a weak beaky shape, an umbilicus in center and is vomiting thread shape when put in water. (2) C. australis has very weak beaky shape, an umbilicus beneath and is vomiting thread shape when put in water. (3) C. japonica has clear beaky shape, an umbilicus beneath and is not vomiting thread shape when put in water. Conclusions: A stereoscope can be effectively used for identifying fine seed herbs hardly distinguishable by sensory tests.

북태평양(北太平洋) 중층(中層)트롤그물의 발달(發達) (The Development of Midwater Trawl Net in North Pacific Ocean)

  • The North Pacific midwater trawling which is one of the important fishing methods for Korean fishing industry is working in the Bering Sea and the sea near Kamchaka Peninsula. The catch by Korean midwater trawlers had been recorded about 300 thousands $^{M/_T}$ a year. Six types of midwater trawl net-ordinary midwater trawl net, super-V trawl net, super mesh trawl net, rope trawl net, super plus trawl net and kite trawl net-have been widely used by large trawlers above 1,500gt in size since 1982. Regarding the fishing efficiency, the super plus trawl net and kite trawl net were acknowledged as higher than other nets. Maximum mesh size of super-plus trawl net and kite trawl net ranges about 20m, whereas the length of net about 150m, and high-tech polyethylene is used as the material of rope part. The problems involved in the North Pacific midwater trawl net may be summarized as follows ; (1) The dimension of fishing gear is too big compared with the towing power of trawler. (2) The mesh size of the rope part is too big compared with that of the common netting part. (3) The net is often torn out in the connecting position of the rope part and the netting part. (4) The net is not matched with the trawler and the otter board in many trawlers, so the shape of the trawl gear in the water is instable. (5) The fish school located near head rope, ground rope and side rope in the net recorder is not caught in practice because of the net instability.

그물감의 강도에 관한 연구(2) 주름을 준 매듭 그물감의 매듭의 강도 (Studies on Strength of Netting (2) The Knot Strength of Knotted Notting with Meshes Opened)

  • 주름을을 준 상태의 매듭그물강의 매듭의 강도를 조사하기 위해, 길이가 70cm 되는 2개의 그물실로 매듭을 만들고 인정한 2재의 다리가 이루는 각 $\varphi$$O^0$(매듭의 세로방향)로 부터 $180^{\circ}$(매듭의 가로방향)까지 변화시켜, 12개의 점에서 그 강도를 측정했다. 또한, $45^{\circ}$$\varphi$에 전개해 있는 다리중 어떤 1개의 다리를 각 $\varphi(0^{\circ}\~30^{\circ})$로 들어 올려 4개의 점에서 그 강도를 측정했다. 그물실의 재료는 mono-filament, multi-filament 및 spun 그물실로 구분하여 10종류를 사용했다. 실험의 결과, $\varphi$가 증가함에 따라서 바른매듭의 강도는 거의 직선적으로 감소하고 막매듭의 강도는 거의 직선적으로 증가했다. $\varphi$$100^{\circ}$이하에서는 바른매듭이 막매듭보다 강하고, $100^{\circ}$이상에서는 그 반대였다. $\varphi'$가 증가할수록 매듭의 강도는 지수함수적으로 감소했다. 이들 $\varphi,\varphi'$에 의한 매듭강도의 변화는 전보에서 제시한 매듭강도의 식에 의한 변화경향과 거의 일치하는 것 같았다.

구조물 음향진동 모니터링을 위한 광섬유 센서 설계 (Fiber Optic Sensor Design for the Monitoring of Structural Sound and Vibration)

  • In this paper, fiber optic sound and vibration monitoring sensor which is latticed shape structure based on Sagnac interferometer is fabricated and tested in laboratory conditions. To detect external vibrations surface mounted fibers on the latticed steel wire fence with a dimension of 170cm by 180cm is used. To detect external sound frequency the tightened fiber optic itself wire netting fence with a dimension of 50cm by 50cm is used. Experiments for the detection of the excited vibration and sound signals were performed. A small vibrator induced external vibration signal and it is applied to the latticed structure in the range of 100Hz to several kHz. External sound signal applied to the fiber optic sensor net using non-directional sound speaker. The detected optical signals were compared and analyzed to the detected both accelerometer and microphone signals in the time and frequency domain. Based on the experimental results, distributed fiber optic sensor using Sagnac interferometer detected effectively external vibration and sound signal and had a good performance. This system can be expanded to the monitoring of a significant system and to the structural health monitoring system.
