Purpose - The world economy is changing with FTA. Lots of FTAs are going on between countries and economic blocs in the world economy as the battle field of FTA. This study is aims to suggest a practical data about Korea-China FTA by analyzing an economic ripple effect and main issues on Korea-China FTA negotiation. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzes the economic impact and major issues expected during the promotion period of Korea-China FTA, and promoted the purpose of this research with literature review and comparative analysis. Result - FTA agreement with China is expected to contribute to Korean economic growth by bringing effectiveness of securing and resolving mutual trade conflict, and one-sided trade protection control of Chinese domestic demand market. The potentiality between United States and Korea is also very important issue. Conclusions - To minimize the adverse effects of FTA and to maximize the positive effects on the logistics industry, the Correspondence strategy is suggested based on the effects of FTA after analyzing the entire situation of the logistics. Especially, this article places emphasis on a close cooperation system between the government agencies to get a good conclusion from the negotiation even if the e-Commerce issue to be a critical point under Korea-China FTA.

South Korea has the defense burdensharing agreement with the United States in reference to the U.S. troops stationed in Korea since 1991, based on Special Measure Agreement(SMA). Due to the growth of Korea's economic power and the U.S. provision of the security environment on Korean penninsula, the U.S. government steadily demanded the rise of contributions to common defense from South Korea and South Korea accepted most of the U.S. requests without proper principles of negotiation concerning the cost sharing. This paper analyzes the systems of the Korea－U.S. cost sharing program through a systems thinking, that yields desirable results with a little effort. The three policy leverages are: 1) the development of negotiation principles; 2) the policy making closely linked with National Defense Reform Basic Plan; 3) the policy making with responsibility burdensharing than cost burdensharing. This paper findings will contribute to the developing the Korea－U.S. cost sharing program by providing policy－makers and policy-practitioners with systematic understanding and insight into the dynamics of the program. Also, this will enable the program to execute more effectively with a concrete formula.

This paper suggests a genealogy of romance in Chang-rae Lee's Native Speaker, A Gesture Life, and The Surrendered. A flexible textual performance and literary strategy spanning issues of beauty and love, romance in Lee registers the writer's distinctive diasporic negotiation with sites of departure and arrival, in particular with traumatic histories of the m/other country. Native Speaker resolves the crisis of public immigrant love within the compromise in the domestic melodrama. As Lee turns to the scenes of historical trauma in the twentieth century transpacific, romance becomes a key strategy through which his aestheticized framing and deframing of comfort woman is performed and the Korean War finds odd comfort in the aesthetic energy of perverse care in Italy. Through the dehistoricizing movement outside of the historical into the realm of myth and nostalgia, Lee's diasporic romance breaks away from mandates of representation and works within the excess of mistranslation.

Research on strategic Code-Switching (CS) of second language learners in teaching English in English (TEE) program provides an elaborate framework for analyzing how learners manage to express themselves in spite of their limited knowledge of the target language. This research presupposes that L2 learners' CS presents innovative solutions for communicative strategy, and that CS used as communicative strategy can promote L2 learners' language acquisition. The major questions of current research involve examining the significant patterns of different functions of CS in L2 learners' interaction and investigating L2 learners' CS styles according to the different functions of CS. The implication of CS utility is regarded as a teaching technique in the TEE program. Recorded transcript is analyzed to trace the same pattern and the categorization of CS as well as to recognize the functions of CS and their ratio. Hence, this leads to the conclusion that learners' negotiation between code selection and communication intention occurs in patterns. The learners' CS tends to be predictable, reproductive, and systematic, as one of the language acquisition phases. Therefore, the attention to the CS in the TEE program should be redirected in communication substantiality toward the principles of pragmatics. As an additional advantage of the CS analysis, this research elaborates on a conceptual acceptance of CS as a set of learners' strategies in the TEE program.

The Importance of SEP (Standard Essential Patents) Procurement Operation is on the side of Governmental and Public both to accelerate the national trade negotiation competitiveness. To operate cooperative system of SEP creation and management, Government should monitor the effect and performance periodically to public sectors. and To achieve the support objectives, it should establish the virtuous circle infrastructure between R&D and economic performance on SEP. This can make the SEP enhancement to pursue the international competitiveness on Intellectual Property Rights. Especially the specific support approach to each phase of the SEP declaration matrix is essential to consolidate the possibility of SEP creation and acquisition. In this study, the concepts of SEP to accelerate the national trade negotiation competitiveness and the prior research were verified through the investigation of market trend and current state of affair analysis. Through the analysis of international and domestic situation of SEP procurement and management, We have found the results as follows. First of all, the leading conglomerates and the Government should focus on the secondary and tertiary industries to create and acquire SEPs to accomplish the effectiveness of selection and concentration. In second, the SMEs and Univ. Labs should focus on the quaternary sector of the economy to retain the competitiveness of speed and challenge on SEP related. From this study, the appropriateness of the tailored-support management model should be institutionalized, and the results implied an research in order to examine the suitability among the current SEP to enhance the competitiveness of national trade research issues.

This study was analyzed the changes of the tariff reduction for the timber products according to the modalities proposed by the chairman of Non-agriculture Market Access. The resulted data would be expected to be used for establishing the strategies for the WTO/DDA negotiation of Korea. As WTO/DDA negotiation was officially resumed in the early 2007. It was necessarily required to develop a strategy how to address debating core issues raised during the negotiation since 2006. For this purpose, major core issues and agenda were arranged and analyzed in this study. In Korea, the results of the analysis show that, in the position of developed members, the applicable tariff rates after the tariff reduction of sawnwood and veneer sheet was not different from that in 2007. However, in the position of developing members, the applicable tariff rate of sawnwood and veneer sheet was increased after the tariff reduction. The unbound tariff lines, wood-based panels such as plywood and medium-density fiberboard, the applicable tariff rate after the tariff reduction was analyzed to be reduced more than 50% in the position of developed members, and therefore is determined to be considerable influenced upon the applicable tariff rates. On the other hand, in the position of developing country the tariff rates after the tariff reduction was higher than that of the applicable tariff rates in 2007. Thus no changes of the tariff reduction by a negotiation agreement was analyzed to be happened.

We believe this study will improve the communication ability and negotiation ability and also make a great contribution to improve the leadership of 21-century type if this study will be used in the field of education.

In this study, a concept learning strategy emphasizing social consensus during discussion (SCS) was developed. The instructional effects of this strategy were compared with those of cognitive conflict strategy (CCS) and traditional instruction in the aspects of students' achievement, conceptions, communication apprehension, perceptions of science learning environment, and perceptions of small group discussion. There were no significant differences in the scores of an achievement test. For the students of low communication competency, however, the scores of the CCS group were significantly higher than those of the traditional group. The adjusted mean of the SCS group was higher than those of the other groups in a conceptions test. The social consensus strategy was also found to be more effective in learning concept for those who were more competent in communicating. No significant differences were found in the communication apprehension. The scores of three groups did not differ significantly in the subcategories of 'personal relevance' and 'students' negotiation' of the test of the perceptions of science learning environment. However, the students in the SCS group scored higher in 'participation'. The students in the SCS group perceived small group discussions more positively.

Recently, the world government procurement market has been greatly opened thanks to the WTO Government Procurement Agreement and FTA etc..In spite of that, many companies trying to export their products into overseas procurement market have been still facing many kinds of invisible barriers and practices for restricting the market access. With the survey results, this study aims to suggest strategic and political implications for the exporting companies in the procurement area for preparing the marketing strategy and introducing the export assistance regime and developing the negotiation position in the concerned FTA. This study has showed some kinds of important implications for the export promotion in the area. Firstly, the companies have to try to increase their products competitiveness, to strength efforts for bids information gathering, to use special program for the foreign companies in some countries. Secondly, the Korean Government also has to try to establish a realistic system for gathering many information about the foreign government procurement market, to assist the companies's export marketing, to introduce the global standards for adapting international technical specifications, and to conclude the FTA agreement with the concerned developing countries in the procurement area etc..
