Asian design has mastered the use of natural elements in the home to create a sense of harmony and balance. The viewpoint of the West recognizes the nature to be conquered while the viewpoint of the Orient recognizes it to be unison with a human being. Additionally, the viewpoint of the Orient reflects a harmonious relationship between the human being and the nature, and it does not see assuredly from an opposed viewpoint. The Five elements, one of oriental notion, are based on an affinity between the human being and the nature. The objectives of this study are to understand the Five elements composed of wood, fire, earth, metal, water and to suggest a substantial method for treating a harmonious and balanced environment in the collaboration of the interior materials by the Five elements. When the interior materials incorporate all the relationships of the Five elements, a space will accomplish harmony with the nature and the universe, thus it will be in tune with surrounding.

There can be two definitions of modern ideal medical surroundings. One is medical services satisfied patients' with their desire and the other is places suited to remedy realized by rational operation. Particularly, in case of dental service, there is a need for an effective regard of moving lines and there are many rooms for a dental service belonged to a curer and not a curer. So a design has been developed by many concerns. flow do we proffer more familiar and comfortable places to both a curer and not a cuter. Nowadays, the design is making progress to the unprecedented and up-to-date direction. I would suggest a general plan used by a nature of an original art for this design. The design used by a nature between human beings and things is able to induce comforts and intimacies. So to speak, I would like to remove artificial design and keep up organic lines, shapes and forms of a nature like it is. This study grasps the organizational limitation of this design and the visual characteristic of organic forms used by harmonious image of a nature and a new way is applied to limited medical places, a dental service, based on the study. Also, I'm go to examine the meaning and worth of a new design and suggest the direction of it.

Since modernization period thru Japanese colonial era the modern architect began to play a important role for Korean housing architecture. So called 'House as an Art Work', detached houses by prominent architects, belong to a meaningful sector in Korean modern housing architecture. The harmony with tradition was always big issue for such works. This study aims to understand how paradigms for tradition were interpreted with the changes of the time. The analysis showed various tryout by architects, that concretize traditional characteristics in their work. For example, traditional lifestyle were clearly reflected in the floorplan during 30's and 40's. In the 70's building mass and formative roof design were emphasized to present traditional image. As well as it represented primitive esthetic and vernacular decoration. In addition, expressive tendency, that demonstrates korean sentiment through material and its texture, got a preference. Since latter half of 80's some traditional architectural elements were modernized and space characteristics were newly created from acculturation. Furthermore the philosophy of "Subdivision of building wings and Emptiness" follows this trend. This type made a courtyard and connected articulated building masses each other. "Sympathy with Nature" were most essential for a traditional houses in contrast with western architecture. Many architects today make various method to bring nature into interior space and to contemplate nature In the house. Such kinds of adaptation to tradition could be understood as a unique process to manifest identity of Korean modern houses.

The ideal housing in the 21st century means that it can provide people with the balanced life between nature and human life, while is possible through the systematic harmony of nature, environment, and human. As our society increasingly pays attention to the importance of environment, environment friendly houses and ecological dwellings are being built. If we add our own cultural environment attribute and historical identity to the ecological housing, we can create the most unique Korean ecological architecture. This study examines ecological interior expression methods from the traditional housing architecture which started out of nature, in order to find out an ecological approach in the interior design of the dwelling space. Based upon this examination, it mainly focuses on how these methods can be applied to a modern housing architecture. From an ecological perspective, the traditional house interior has two distinct characteristics; nature friendly and human friendly, because it considered nature and human harmoniously. The interior of the traditional housing can be divided into three types; nature friendly, health friendly, and human friendly. Finally, this study investigates the ecological value of the three types and application of them to modern housing. It will help to find out the harmonious way of building a house harmonizing both nature and human. Especially, considering that the nature is being destructed and the health of human is deteriorating due to the destruction of the nature, this study will show a feasible alternative to build the most Korean style of environmental architecture.

In the field of acupuncture and moxibustion, the theory of taboo of acupuncture and moxibustion on the basis of where the 'Qi and the soul of the men(人氣 人神)' exist became the foundation of the 'theory of chrono-acupunclure and moxibustion(時間性鍼灸法), that takes into account the thrift and retreatment of the Qi(氣) and the 'soul of the men' according to day and time. The fields of acupuncture and moxibustion in the theory of 'Yun Qi(運氣) which takes into account time space are the theories of the 'ZiWuLinZhu(子午流注)' and the 'LingGuiBaFa(靈龜八法)'. While the theory of the 'ZiWuLlnZhu' has the nature of time, 'LingGuiBaFa' has the nature of space comparatively. So the theory of 'Yun Qi' adopted and improved the time-space background that is the basis of the theory of the 'ZiWuLinZhu' and the 'LingGuiBaFa'.

Purpose: This paper tried to understand the architectural philosophy of Laurant Beaudouin who is one of Neo Corbusian architects. They were in succession to Le Corbusier's principles of modern architecture, and developed his concept of modern architecture with their own creative architecture, and formed a big achievement in the contemporary architecture. As a representative Neo Corbusian architect, the design concepts and principles of Laurant Beaudouin were analyzed in relation of nature, light and space. Method: Three step study was conducted for the paper; Firstly, investigated significant his architectural characteristics as a neo corbusian architect in the point of view of plan libre, architectural promenade and light; Secondly, analyzed his architectural philosophy on light, gravity and color, Finally, deducted relation light and space through analysis 5 works of Beaudouin. Results: According to the results of the study, Laurant Beaudouin has greatly developed of Corbusier's principles and philosophy of modern architecture, and then, created his own originative architectural works by combining nature, light and space and presented architectural promenade with the change of time.

Restaurant is a settign for est and social intercousrse fo rpeople in the cities, and is essential to provide its users with pleasant and comfort space. Color is used as a design tool which has most powerful effect to change the nature of a space and atmosphere, As a basic study for desirable environmental color for restaurant, this is studied mainly on the following discussion points. 1) Inportance of environmental color and its role in accordance with space characteristics as restaurant. 2) The psychological effects of color in the clinetes, color conditioning of the dining ares, problem of change in the appearance of color in the selection of materials and color harmony of total environments. 3) Prior to color planning in detail , the nature and characteristics each restaurant contains and their correlation with various locational , physical , social environmental , human variables have been analyzed. And the total atmosphere of the dining area as a place where the clients finally stay has been dealt with various visual , environmental and functional problems of color about fixed elements such as the wall. the floor, the ceiling and semifixed elements such as tables, chairs, etc.

Street is an important factor that street quality determines urban quality as the space of the high public nature in city. The research method considering sequence landscape is important because it is considered that the impression of such a street is formed by the wholeness of consecutive landscape and experience in moving street. Therefore, this study are pursued to structure the analysis of psychological evaluation and environmental attribute base on the physical characteristics of sequence landscape to supply the basic materials for seeking the national direction as qualitative improvement of urban street space and the attractive urban street space. Then the results are as follows. It is shown that the psychological evaluation structure of sequence landscape is evaluated by ornamental nature, intimacy, orderliness, openness and movability and that of environmental attributes is evaluated by four factors such as activity, intimacy, spatial attribute and openness.

The visual expression system of space realized in Baroque aesthetics is basically grounded on the philosophical view to the world of the time, that is to say the changes of the thinking system in the Renaissance and ontology based on it. Structural aesthetics in Baroque freed from Plato's system of harmony but grounded on Leibniz's process philosophy formed a crucial background to highlight the formal nature of the whole and build a structure based on the inclusive principle of formativity. Also, to solve problems to realize the order and consistency of forms from the whole, Baroque adopted the nonlinear and nonphysical formative system as the principle of building space in works of art. Combining the order system of nature in the Renaissance with manneristic dynamicity as well as formative principle taking shape geometrically, it did establish a variety of aesthetic concepts based on the results of infiniteness and exaggeration expressed from the two forces, the Renaissance and mannerism. This study has found that such Baroque aesthetics did overcome classical planeness and draw continuous mobility from the structures and forms based on that with the transborder concepts of structures, the components of space, as an ultimate system of formative expression. Moreover, this author has drawn and analyzed with the cases of the 17th-century art and architecture the transborder elements manifesting the nature of diverse formative visual elements produced in artistic expressions with that principle of aesthetics, that is the intangible concept of Baroque. Based on that, this researcher intends to come up with technical solutions to solve a lot of environmental and architectural problems we are severely facing nowadays in terms of environmental, physical, and emotional aspects with the theoretical clues and results acceptable to this contemporary era.

The purpose of this study is to show the implications of the term "digital architecture," which are realized in the current architecture. To do this, I first observe its theoretical background and then analyze the works of Marcos Novak, Kas Oosterhuis, and Lars Spuybroek, all of whom are called the typical digital architects. In particular, this study tries to show that the digital architects are introducing the non-Euclidean multi-dimensions and the cyberspace and applying the notions of liquid architecture, transarchitecture, body-building, and body-building, and body-motorized system into their works. Finally, I conclude that the digital architecture anticipates the direction of the future architecture, in which the virtual world is merged with the real world, the digital space is realized in the real space, and the human is completely harmonized with nature.th nature.
