Purpose: We present improvements to the Korean home visiting healthcare service based on analysis of Korean home visiting healthcare services considering recent sociodemographic changes and demands for healthcare services. Methods: This is a review study in which the results are derived through a literature review and data analysis. We collected data through a search of electronic databases, Google Scholar, and governmental websites. Results: Changes in Korean home visiting healthcare services are classified into four stages: 'introduction (1990-2000)', 'pilot project (2003-2006)', 'nationwide expansion (2007-2012)', 'various types (2013-2018)'. Korean home visiting healthcare service based on public health centers has achieved outcomes such as improved health behavior and health management, increased health management ability, and establishment of comprehensive healthcare infrastructure. Conclusion: In the future, the demand for home visiting healthcare service will increase steadily because of deepening social polarization, rapid aging of the population, and increases in chronic diseases. To improve health management and health equity, we suggest that Korean home visiting healthcare service will expand to all the people as a core public health service. It is necessary to establish a management team for various types of home visiting healthcare service in the public health center.
Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the oral health knowledge and behavior in teachers with or without the school dental clinic. Methods : The subjects were 133 teachers with or without the school dental clinic in Gunsan. A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by the teachers from September 9 to November 2, 2013. The data were analyzed by SPSS version 21.0. Results : The groups were divided into two. Experimental group was school dental clinic operation group and the control group was no operation group. The experiment group showed the high score of recognition of fluoridation and sealant(p<0.01). The control group showed the high score of recognition of sealant(p<0.01). Conclusions : Continuous operation of the school dental clinic is essential to promote the lifelong oral health care in the elementary school children and the teachers. So the nationwide expansion of the continuous school dental clinic is very important to prevent the dental caries in the elementary school children.

The purpose of this paper is to review concerns and activities related to the library of Germany as well as to look over recent trends referred to the maintenance of the library and its information service system since the unification of Germany in 1990. In fact, since the unification, many libraries in old East Germany have been closed with some precious books being lost. Also since most of libraries are short of funds and proper materials, it is real situation that they can not actively respond to the demand of information by library users who want to adapt themselves to changes, while only urgently requesting some support from old West Germany. In the meantime, the new government and libraries of Germany are giving a great effort to building an efficient document delivery system through financial support for the expansion of books and the purchase of urgently necessary library equipments in the poor libraries of old East Germany and support for the course to re-educate the in-service or unemployeed librarians, and also systematic organization between similar libraries, integration of national bibliographies, and maintenance of the interlibrary loan system. The nationwide interlibrary loan system, an expanded form of the system of old West Germany, allows the delivery of document to be easily performed, centered on both central cataloues for East Germany and West. However, in order to build an efficient information service system which covers whole Germany, it seems there needs more time required.
The red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkia) originated from the North America distribute widely as invasive species throughout the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. The red swamp crayfish is also an invasive species in South Korea. We aimed to characterize the occurrence and distribution pattern of the red swamp crayfish, and evaluate the potential distribution of this species in South Korea. In South Korea, the red swamp crayfish was firstly reported in Seoul in 1996, and recently its occurrence is frequently reported at streams or reservoirs at different regions, showing the expansion of its distribution area. The red swamp crayfish has high potential to occur in the nationwide scale in South Korea because of their biological adaptation, effects of climate change, changes of their habitat condition, and various types of human activities. Finally, our results revealed the necessary to conduct an extensive field survey, to keep up a monitoring program for the occurrence of alien species, and to implement a strategy to prevent the dispersal of alien species in the natural ecosystems.
A provision of spatial information is expected to make a market explosion in various fields. A distribution of spatial data on wireless mobile environments indicates a huge expansion of mobile technology as well as a spread of geospatial applications. For high quality spatial information, 4S technology project integrating 4 kinds of spatial systems is currently being executed with the goal of nationwide integration of spatial data and spatial information systems. In terms of network environments, a mobile ad hoc network where mobile terminals communicate with each other without any infrastructures has been standardized for the next generation mobile wireless network. With respect to the future technologies for spatial information, it is necessary to design 4S applications on mobile ad hoc networks. This paper addresses the issue, which is proposing design points for distributing 4S spatial data on mobile ad hoc networks and ad hoc styled 4S applications.
The objective of this study is to increase bio-diversity by developing more efficient methods to created habitats and applying them in introducing prototypes of forest, grassland, and marsh which are found in natural ecosystem, to urban environment. In this context, in creating man-made marsh in Seoul Engineering High School, firstly, philosophical framework to create man-made marsh to restore urban nature and conceptual system to create a region considering life and ecosystem were established. Secondly, by applying the philosophical framework and the conceptual system, water quality section, plantation section, and techniques to create habitats to increase bio-diversity were introduced. Lastly, when the creation is completed, maintenance of the marsh will continue with participation and education of students and residents. This study presents how natural environment can be restored and created in urban areas. This may be viewed as modest beginning. I expect this study proves to be effective in increasing bio-diversity, fulfill its role as an experiment station for restoration and creation of natural environment and natural educational center for students and community as well as habitats for wild life, and open a new chapter in developing a society seeking co-existence of humankind and life. Therefore, when technological guideline on restoration and creation of man-made marsh in urban area is developed based on the outcome of this study, expansion of the project to nationwide including metropolitan cities like Seoul is recommended.
The Korea Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention interpreted that recent outbreaks of scarlet fever in Korea since 2011 was resulted from the expansion of scarlet fever notification criteria. To suggest a relevant hypothesis regarding this emerging outbreak, a time series analysis(TSA) of scarlet fever incidence between 2002 and 2016 was conducted. The raw data was the nationwide insurance claims database administered by the Korean National Health Insurance Service. The inclusion criteria were children aged ≤14 years residing in Jeju Province, Korea who received any form of healthcare for scarlet fever from 2002 to 2016. The season was defined as winter (December, January, February; Q1), spring (March, April, May; Q2), summer (June, July, August; Q3), and autumn (September, October, November; Q4). There were seasonal variations with showing peak season on Q1 and Q3. And three phases as 2002 Q2~2005 Q2, 2005 Q2~2009 Q4, and 2010 Q1~2016 Q4 were found between 2002 and 2016. The results from TSA suggested that the recent outbreak of scarlet fever among children in Jeju Province might be a phenomenon from 'unknown birth-related environmental factors' changed after 2010.

School is the place where teenagers spend most of their time, forming friendships and receiving guidance from the teachers. Their life in school is a procedure of learning lessons before advancing into the society. However, in this place of learning, misdeeds such as violence, extortion and bullying are actually happening, some of which developing into suicide, murder and prostitution. For this reason, violence in school, especially, raises concerns as a serious social problem these days. Therefore, this study suggests more practical improvement programs to solve the problem of the violence in school, by first investigating the concept and the actual situation of school violence, and by better understanding the problems resulted from the school violence. The researchers of the study suggest as follows: First is about strengthening the education that builds students' personality, where we investigate the methods of personality education that suit with the current situation and suggest what is necessary to improve them. The second is about expansion of the functioning of families and of the educational role of the household heads, where we argue the importance of education in the family in addition to the education in school, and we suggest the right way for the parents to discipline their children. The third is about expansion of counseling professionals and improving social environment, where we explain the importance of counseling professionals in preventing and solving the issues in school violence and suggest expansion of these professionals and also suggest installation and operation of dedicated counseling room in schools. The fourth is about use of school sheriffs, where we suggest dispatching school sheriffs nationwide and fully use them as a countermeasure against school violence.
Reserved forces of ROKA are in charge of replacement of TOE in the wartime and mission of rear area operation. But there is institutional inertia in the law and organization oriented to fill human resources rather than take mission. We need to prepare for the investment and arrangement of reserved forces as military power that would be replaced standing forces. In this portion, to reinforce reserve forces elite, First, efficient mobilization regulations and systems are suggested. I covered a maintenance of relevant mobilization ordinances which need to legislated and approved by national assembly for wartime and development of mobilization system which might lose the appropriate time for mobilization due to complicated declaration procedures and measures to overcome the panic at the initial stage of the war and organization and employment of nationwide transportation system and mobilization center. To ensure efficient resource management and mobilization of reserve forces with a number of approximately 3 million, there's a necessity of organization for integration and conciliation. To make it real, I suggested establishing and employing the mobilization center, on first phase, employ the mobilization center focusing on homeland divisions, on second phase, it is advisable to convert to national level mobilization system and develop to central mobilization center focusing on national emergency planning committee. During peacetime, in conjunction with Mobilization Cell, mobilization center can conduct resource survey and integrate and manage mobilization resources and take charge of mobilization training of subordinate units, and during wartime, in conjunction with mobilization coordination team and Cell, can ensure the execution of mobilization. Second, Future oriented reserve forces management system such as service system of reserve forces and support system of homeland defense operations. Current service and trainings of reserve forces by the year have very low connection, as it is very complex to manage the resources and trainings, and service and training lack the equity, re-establishment of service system is required. Also in an aspect of CSS and cultivation support for reserve forces, as the scope and limitation of responsibility between the armed forces and autonomous organization is obscure, conditions to conduct actual-fighting exercises are limited. Concentrated budgetting is extremely difficult because reserve forces training fields are scattered nationwide, and facilities and equipments are rapidly getting older. To improve all these, I suggest the organization of homeland defense battalion with a unit of "City-Gun-District" and supporting the local reserve forces. Conduct unit replacement or personal replacement for those who have finished their 1 or 2 years and homeland defense operation duty for those with 3-5 years for consistency and simplification. Third, I suggest Future oriented Reserved Training(FRT) and Training Center oriented training management to establish a reliable reserve training. Reserves carry out expansion of unit, conventional combat mission, homeland defense and logistics support during wartime, and actual-fighting exercise, and disaster relief, peace keeping activities. Despite diverse activities and roles, their training condition still stays definitely poor. For these reasons, Modernization of weapons and facilities through gradual replacement and procurement is essential to enhance mobilization support system.
