This study aims to analyze the differences of ginseng product consumers and segment Korean fresh ginseng and red ginseng root markets based on attributes for the purchase. As a result of analyzing survey data, the red ginseng root consumers had different aspects from fresh ginseng consumers. According to the result of cluster analysis, the fresh ginseng consumers were subdivided into three segments (safety-oriented consumption cluster, label centered consumption cluster, and high involvement consumption cluster), while the red ginseng root consumers were subdivided into four segments (convenience-oriented consumption cluster, high involvement consumption cluster, raw material's safety-oriented cluster, and raw material's information importance cluster). ANOVA and Crosstab were conducted to investigate characteristics of each cluster.
Nearby galaxy clusters and their surrounding regions represent the current endpoint of evolution galaxy cluster evolution. We present a new catalog of 1589 galaxies, what we call Extended Virgo Cluster Catalog (EVCC), in wider area of the Virgo cluster based on the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 7. The EVCC covers an area 5.2 times larger than the footprint of the classical Virgo Cluster Catalog, and reaches out to 3.5 times the virial radius of the Virgo cluster. The EVCC contains fundamental information such as membership, morphology, and photometric parameters of galaxies. The EVCC defines a comprehensive galaxy sample covering a wider range in galaxy density that is significantly different from the inner region of the Virgo cluster. It will be the foundation for forthcoming galaxy evolution studies in the extended Virgo cluster region, complementing ongoing and planned Virgo cluster surveys at various wavelengths. We also present the large scale structures in the field around the Virgo cluster. We identified seven galaxy filaments and one possible sheet in three dimensions of super-galactic coordinates based on the HyperLEDA database. By examining spatial distribution and Hubble diagram of galaxies, we found that six filaments are directly associated with the main body of the Virgo cluster. On the other hand, one filament and one sheet are structures located at background of the main body of Virgo cluster. The EVCC and the filament structures will be the foundation for forthcoming studies of galaxy evolution in various environments as well as buildup of the galaxy cluster at z ~ 0, complementing ongoing and planned Virgo cluster surveys at various wavelengths.
We present a new UBVI CCD photometry of the intermediate-age open cluster NGC 2420. Our photometry covers a field of $7'9\times7.'7$ of the sky centered on the cluster. We determined the reddening and distance to the cluster by the main sequence fitting as $E(B - V) = 0.05\pm0.02$ and $(m-M)_o = 11.9\pm0.1$, along with the age of $\~2$ Gyr by fitting the Padova isochrones to the observed color-magnitude diagrams of the cluster. The fraction of binaries is found to be $44\pm5\%$ and they are likely to locate in the central region of the cluster. The spatial distributions of the binaries and the variation of the cluster luminosity functions along the radius suggest mass segregations due to the dynamical evolution of the cluster.
Objectives . In large-scale field trials, randomization by cluster is frequently used because of the administrative convenience, a desire to reduce the effect of treatment contamination, and the need to avoid ethical issues that might of otherwise arise. Cluster randomization trials are experiments in which intact social unit, e.g., families, schools, cities, rather than independent individuals are randomly allocated to intervention groups. The positive correlation among responses of subjects from the same cluster is in matter in cluster randomization. This thesis is to compare the results of three randomization methods by standard error of estimator of treatment effect. Methods : We simulated cholesterol data varing the size of the cluster and the level of the correlation in clusters and analyzed the effect of cholesterol-lowering agent. Results : In intra-cluster randomization the standard error of the estimator of treatment effect is smallest relative to that in inter-cluster randomization and that in individual randomization. Conclusions : Infra-cluster randomization is the most efficient in its standard error of estimator of treatment effect but other factor should be considered when selecting a specific randomization method.
We present ultraviolet (UV) photometric properties of dwarf galaxies in Fornax cluster and Ursa Major group in comparison with Virgo cluster using GALEX data. We construct UV color-magnitude relations (CMRs) of dwarf galaxies matching with available optical photometry and SDSS data. Majority of dwarf galaxies in Fornax cluster show sequence in UV CMRs consistent with that of dwarf elliptical (dEs) in Virgo cluster indicating similar age and metallicity properties of dEs in two clusters. The dS0 sequence in Fornax cluster is not distinct as much as that in Virgo cluster. Dwarf galaxies in outer region of the Fornax cluster show more bluer UV colors with a wide scatter in CMRs, which indicates recent star formation activity. We show that the UV colors of dwarf galaxies are related with the distribution and strength of the X-ray emission in the cluster. In contrast to the Fornax cluster, most dwarf galaxies in Ursa Major group are located in the blue cloud showing recent or on-going star formation, and few galaxies show characteristics of dEs. We discuss relationship between UV properties of dwarf galaxies and different environment of cluster.
We present a new catalog of galaxies in the wider region of the Virgo cluster, based on the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 7. The Extended Virgo Cluster Catalog (EVCC) covers an area of 725 deg2 or 60.1 Mpc2. It is 5.2 times larger than the footprint of the classical Virgo Cluster Catalog (VCC) and reaches out to 3.5 times the virial radius of the Virgo cluster. We selected 1324 spectroscopically targeted galaxies with radial velocities less than 3000 km s-1. In addition, 265 galaxies that have been missed in the SDSS spectroscopic survey but have available redshifts in the NASA Extragalactic Database are also included. Our selection process secured a total of 1589 galaxies of which 676 galaxies are not included in the VCC. The certain and possible cluster members are defined by means of redshift comparison with a cluster infall model. We employed two independent and complementary galaxy classification schemes: the traditional morphological classification based on the visual inspection of optical images and a characterization of galaxies from their spectroscopic features. SDSS u, g, r, i, and z passband photometry of all EVCC galaxies was performed using Source Extractor. We compare the EVCC galaxies with the VCC in terms of morphology, spatial distribution, and luminosity function.
New photoelectric UBV Photometry of 112 stars in open cluster M35 field was obtained. The distance modulus and age of the cluster are $9.^m3$(725pc) and $8.5{\times}10^7yrs$, respectively. The internal differential reddening within the cluster is apparent.
By employing primarily the Kendall's Concordance Test, the paper attempted to conduct an experts' evaluation on the interaction among the agents in Busan marine tourism cluster and recommend some measures for policy consideration for the cluster's activation. For this purpose, a conceptual framework was developed to guide the assessment by using inter-agent cooperation and network approaches regarding the nature of the marine tourism cluster. Such factors as cooperation, competition, relationship marketing, and networking were identified as critical. Findings of the study imply that Busan marine tourism cluster is at its embryonic stage and needs desperate measures for improvement in the inter-organizational cooperation and networking, the major regional characteristics that determine the competitiveness of marine tourism.
The mechanism of the ionized cluster beam deposition has been studied using Molecular Dynamics Simulation. The Embedded Atom Method(EAM) potential were used in the simulation. The impact of a Au95-cluster on Au(100) substrate was studied for the impact energies 0.15-10eV/atom. The dependency of the impact energy of cluster beam was observed. For the cluster energy impact of 10eV per atom, the defects on surface were created and the cluster embedded into substrate as an amorphous state. For the energy of 0.5eV per atom, the defect free homoepitaxial growth was observed and atomic scale nucleation was formated, which are in good agreement with experiment. Thus molecular dynamics simulation is very useful to study the mechanism of the ionized cluster beam deposition.

Fast and high-quality document clustering algorithms play an important role in providing data exploration by organizing large amounts of information into a small number of meaningful clusters. Hierarchical clustering improves the performance of retrieval and makes that users can understand easily. For outperforming of clustering, we implemented hierarchical structure with variety and readability, by careful selection of cluster topic words and deciding the number of clusters dynamically. It is important to select topic words because hierarchical clustering structure is summarizes result of searching. We made choice of noun word as a cluster topic word. The quality of topic words is increased $33\%$ as follows. As the topic word of each cluster, the only noun word is extracted for the top-level cluster and the used topic words for the children clusters were not reused.
