This study set out to investigate the changes to the growth, yield, and flavonoid contents of mungbean according to different seeding times from mid May to mid July in the southern region of Korea. Days to first flowering, days to first maturing, and cultivation period were shorter at later seeding time than earlier seeding time. But later the seeding time was, days from first maturing to first harvesting, days required between harvesting increased. Number of pods at first harvesting and yield of mungbean were highest when seeded at late June, showing increase in yield 14% more than at early June as standard seeding time. However number of seeds per pod and 1,000-seed weight at first harvesting were highest when seeded at mid July. The number of harvesting was smallest at two times when seeded at June or mid July. The contents of average vitexin and isovitexin in mungbean were highest in the order of mid July, late June, and mid May. In particular, their contents reached its highest point in the seeds of the second harvest. Considering the results of the cultivation period, yield, harvesting times, vitexin and isovitexin contents, the proper seeding time of mungbeans in the southern region of Korea will be from late June to mid July.

Recently, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) or drones have gained popularity for the engineering surveying and mapping because they enable the rapid data acquisition and processing as well as their operation cost is low. The applicable fields become much wider including the topographic monitoring, agriculture, and forestry. It is reported that the high geospatial accuracy is achievable with the drone photogrammetry for many applications. However most studies reported the best achievable mapping results using well-distributed ground control points though some studies investigated the impact of control points on the accuracy. In this study, we focused on the drone mapping of corridors such as roads and pipelines. The distribution and the number of control points along the corridor were diversified for the accuracy assessment. In addition, the effects of the camera self-calibration and the number of the image strips were also studied. The experimental results showed that the biased distribution of ground control points has more negative impact on the accuracy compared to the density of points. The prior camera calibration was favored than the on-the-fly self-calibration that may produce poor positional accuracy for the case of less or biased control points. In addition, increasing the number of strips along the corridor was not helpful to increase the positional accuracy.
Efficient numerical method is developed for the prediction of aerodynamic noise generation and propagation in low Mach number flows such as aeolian tone noise. The proposed numerical method is based on acoustic/viscous splitting techniques of which acoustic solvers use simplified linearised Euler equations, full linearised Euler equations and nonlinear perturbation equations as acoustic governing equations. All of acoustic equations are forced with immersed surface dipole model which is developed for the efficient computation of aerodynamic noise generation and propagation in low Mach number flows in which dipole source, originating from unsteady pressure fluctuation on a solid surface, is known to be more efficient than quadrupole sources. Multi-scale overset grid technique is also utilized to resolve the complex geometries. Initially, aeolian tone from single cylinder is considered to examine the effects that the immersed surface dipole models combined with the different acoustic governing equations have on the overall accuracy of the method. Then, the current numerical method is applied to the simulation of the aeolian tones from twin cylinders aligned perpendicularly to the mean flow and separated 3 diameters between their centers. In this configuration, symmetric vortices are shed from twin cylinders, which leads to the anti-phase of the lift dipoles and the in-phase of the drag dipoles. Due to these phase differences, the directivity of the fluctuating pressure from the lift dipoles shows the comparable magnitude with that from the drag dipoles at 10 diameters apart from the origin. However, the directivity at 100 diameters shows that the lift-dipole originated noise has larger magnitude than, but still comparable to, that of the drag-dipole one. Comparison of the numerical results with and without mean flow effects on the acoustic wave emphasizes the effects of the sheared background flows around the cylinders on the propagating acoustic waves, which is not generally considered by the classic acoustic analogy methods. Through the comparison of the results using the immersed surface dipole models with those using point sources, it is demonstrated that the current methods can allow for the complex interactions between the acoustic wave and the solid wall and the effects of the mean flow on the acoustic waves.

This study examined the accessibility of emergency rooms according to the population density and distance in Daegu Metropolitan City to help improve the quality and emergency medical accessibility problems in Daegu Metropolitan City. To observe the geographical requirements, the number of population in eup, myeon, dong, available emergency, and available emergency compared to the population were mapped through the S-GIS of Statistics Korea to visualize the data based on the 3km radius. To determine the difference in accessibility to emergency rooms for each district in Daegu Metropolitan City, the data were analyzed by ANOVA and Scheffe. According to the average number of emergencies available in Daegu Metropolitan City within a 3-kilometer radius were 5.7 in Jung-gu, 5.0 in Nam-gu, 1.6 in Buk-gu, 0.4 in Dong-gu, 2.4 in Seo-gu, 0.9 in Suseong-gu, 3.5 in Dalseo-gu, and 0.1 in Dalseong-gun; there was a statistically significant difference (p<.001). The available emergency within a 3km radius and available emergency per 1,000 people were concentrated in the center. Therefore, it may be necessary to institute an urban emergency medical network by establishing a point that serves as an intermediate hub to provide emergency medical care to citizens far from the center.
The number of patients with immune- mediated dermatitis such as contact dermatitis is increasing year by year. Allergic contact dermatitis is a complex phenomenon that involves resident epidermal cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells, as well as invading leukocytes that interact with each other under the control of a network of cytokines and lipid mediators. It is a cell-mediated immune reaction, which occurs after susceptible individuals are exposed to sensitizing chemicals, and characteristic eczematous reaction is seen at the point of contact with an allergen. In this study, we investigated the allergy prevention effects of quercetin on mast cell-mediated allergic inflammation in BALB/c mice. BALB/c mice were sensitized with 40 ${\mu}l$ of 1.5% picryl choloride (PCL) to the left and right ear each. Total serum IgE levels and histamine levels were measured by the sandwich ELISA method using mouse IgE, histamine measuring kit. For histopathological examination, paraffin sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin(HE) or toluidine blue(TB). Ear swelling responses were much weaker in the high-dose group (100 mg/kg) than the control group (0 mg/kg). The number of mast cells showed a significant decrease in the high-dose group (100 mg/kg) compared to the control group (0 mg/kg). Degranulation of mast cells was also confirmed by Toluidine Blue (TB) staining method. Both total serum IgE and histamine levels were significantly decreased in the high-dose group (100 mg/kg) compared to other groups. These findings suggest a certain relationship between the elevation of IgE, histamine levels and the degranulation of mast cells. These results show that the pharmacological actions of quercetin indicate its potential activity for prevention of allergic inflammatory diseases through the down-regulation of mast cell activation.

UN, OECD, ITU and other international organizations regularly announce ISI (Information Society Index) to utilize in establishing and evaluating information policies. ISI is utilized as important data for countries to evaluate their information policy performance and select future projects. As the advancement of information systems, the importance of information security has been emerged. Accordingly, NISI (National Information Security Index) has been required. NISI number is the most clearly figure to express the characteristics of a particular group's information security. It can be utilized in determining information security policies. Currently, questionnaire method has been used to calculate NISI number. But there is an absolute lack of statistical data, and the reliability of surveyed statistical data is problematic. The objective of this paper is to show how to collect precise micro data of each company's information security index numbers, and to develop an OLAP database system which calculating NISI numbers by using those micro data. In this process of the survey, we presented the technique to collect the data more systematically, and to analyze the data without using questionnaire method. OLAP architecture performs only well on the facts that are summarizable along each dimension, where all hierarchy schemas are distributive. Therefore we transformed the non-distributive hierarchy schema into the distributive hierarchy schema to implement OLAP database system. It is thought that this approach will be useful one from an implementation and schema design point of view.
For last four or five years, the number of Korean students have gone on increasing awfully. After the year 1997 when they will flow in, our field and government will be undergone a big shock and social problems. Therefore, thorough grasping and the method of provision is expeced to need. 1. The situation, According to the data published from the year 1993 to 1997, their results are great different. But recent Korean embassy in China examined the situation of the Korean students, whose result was investigated as follows: about 1500 persons, their average age is 24 to 44, the ratio of male and female students is 3 to 1, that of their academic background which is a graduate of university : that of college : that of highschool is 1.6 : 1 : 4.7, and that of their class attitude which is direct : common : indirect appears the percents 30.4 : 52.8 : 16.8. 2. The controversial points (1) A lowering of standards on Chinese medical treatment is expected by the imprudent studying abroad without qualification. And because of excessive production of herb doctors, the amount of treatment may be above people's demand. Besides owing to the impossibility of prediction on the number the counterplans of our government may fall into utler confusion. (2) The curriculum, the teaching schedule and contents are so different that the graduates seem not to be given real education of chinese medicine from the point of Korean view. (3) In the wrong national examination, the important thought of china, and the system of WTO in Korea, when China will become mighty rival above problems contain the negative sides. 3. The counterplans - what should be performed soon. (1) Illegal contents about studying abroadl in China ought to inform sidely that students might not go on increasing. Before they form nam-power, the government and the field of chinese medicine should cope with such a situation together. (2) The law of regulation about agents should be legislated and they should be surpervised. (3) The exact numbers of students, their situation, and the present condition of each university should be examined. (4) After investigating the problems of the present system of national test, its enforcement and many counterplans is requisite. (5) The cooperating confrontation with the conference of dentistry is in need. (6) Since the problems are possibility to be developed to diplomatic questions, the effort of both nations is needful. - what need middle of long time. (1) The effort that suppress the more establishment of the college of oriental medicine is necessary. (2) After comparing with the system of foreign test, the government should make the system of test in accord with the mutualism and the principle of indiscrimination among nations and cope with such a many issues thoroughly.
The effects of Angelica gigas nakai powder(AP) addition on bread dough were investigated by preparing dough with 0-10%(w/v) powder. Dough raising power, gluten levels, rapid visco properties, and falling number, were investigated. The rheological properties of dough as measured by mixography, farinography, alveography, color assessment, and with scanning electron microscopy, were examined. Increase in AP concentration resulted in a linear decrease in gluten content. Dough raising power and extensibility were decreased by water absorption rate, and resistance increased. Dough stability and rose when AP was present at 1-2%(w/v). Water absorption, dough stability, and dough valorimeter values also rose when AP was present at 1-2%(w/v), but AP induced weakness in the dough, as revealed through farinography, and also resulted in a lowering of initial pasting temperature and the temperature at peak viscosity. A decrease in viscosity at the peak point, and(as revealed by RVA), a decrease in extensibility, an increased resistance to extension, and a rise in the energy required for extension, were also seen when AP powder was added, as was an increase in the R/E ratio. Overall, the addition of AP to dough to levels of 1% or 2%(both w/v) is thought to be useful in the preparation of a functional white pan bread, and results in quality improvements.
Growth curves of Listeria monocytogenes in modified surimi-based imitation crab (MIC) broth were obtained by measuring cell concentration in MIC broth at different culture conditions [initial cell numbers, $1.0{\times}10^{2},\;1.0{\times}10^{3}\;and\;1.0{\times}10^{4}$, colony forming unit (CFU)/mL; temperature, 15, 20, 25, 37, and $40^{\circ}C$] and applied to Gompertz model to determine microbial growth indicators, maximum specific growth rate constant (k), lag time (LT), and generation time (GT). Maximum specific growth rate of L. monocytogenes increased rapidly with increasing temperature and reached maximum at $37^{\circ}C$, whereas LT and GT decreased with increasing temperature and reached minimum at $37^{\circ}C$. Initial cell number had no effect on k, LT, and GT (p > 0.05). Polynomial and square root models were developed to express combined effects of temperature and initial cell number using Gauss-Newton Algorism. Relative coefficients of experimental k and predicted k of polynomial and square root models were 0.92 and 0.95, respectively, based on response surface model. Results indicate L. monocytogenes growth was mainly affected by temperature and square root model was more effective than polynomial model for growth prediction.
Quality changes of dried sea cucumber (Stichopusjaponicus) after applying a cyclic rehydration and retorting process were investigated during 4 weeks of storage. The length, volume, and weight of dried sea cucumber increased significantly as the number of rehydration cycles increased. Sea cucumber (SC) was bottled in the glass jar and a retort thermal process ($121.1^{\circ}C$, 0.15 MPa) was applied. The total thermal processing time (TTT) was 24 min based on the temperature at the cold point. The size and texture of retorted SC were significantly changed until the first week of storage. However, regardless of the number of rehydration cycles, the size and texture of samples at different rehydration cycles showed no significant difference during the whole storage. The length, volume, weight, rehydration ratio ($R_R$), hardness, and chewiness at the maximum degree of swelling during rehydration of dried SC were estimated as 100.86 mm, 38.62 mL, 41.05 g, 6.39 of $R_R$, $249.19g_f$, and 4.05 mJ, respectively.
