생산자규격을 고려한 소비자만족품질지표의 개발 (Development of Customer Satisfaction Quality Indicator Considering Producer's Specification Limits)

  • Process Capability ($C_{pk}$) is a representative measure of how well the producer manages dispersion and bias for the specifications needed by the consumer. This is expressed as a ratio of 6 times the natural tolerance to the specification. As the producer manages the dispersion small, the capacity index becomes higher. And it is classified into 5 grades according to the degree of management. It is a measure of the quality of processes used in most industrial fields. However, $C_{pk}$ is calculated by only reflecting the mean and dispersion of the process, there is a disadvantage that it can not give information about the economic loss caused by the inconsistency of the process with the target value. Overcoming these drawbacks, process capability indexes reflecting various types of loss functions such as $C_{pm}$, $C^+_{pm}$ and $C_{pl}$ have been developed. However, all of these previous studies have applied the limit to the consumer specification, which is based on the traditional and passive quality perception that the quality characteristic should exist within the limits of the consumer specification. In this study, we will develop 'Customer Satisfaction Quality Indicator (CSQI)' which is a quantitative indicator that can be fully evaluated when the manufacturer's specification limit, which is an aggressive quality strategy, is applied. This is expected to be useful decision information for both producers and consumers.

국유림 복합경영사업에 대한 중요도·만족도 분석 (A Study on the Importance-Performance Analysis for National Forest Complex Management)

  • 본 연구는 산림복합경영사업의 관리와 활성화를 위한 정책적 시사점을 찾기 위하여 참여 작목반원들의 의식조사, 산림복합경영사업 관리 등에 대하여 중요도 만족도 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 국유림에서 추진중인 산림복합경영사업에 대한 작목반원의 만족도는 매우 높게 나타났다. 또한, 총 15개의 항목중에서 중요도 만족도 분석을 통해 산림복합경영사업에서 집중적 관리전략이 필요한 분야로 전자상거래 및 직거래 활성화, 생산 및 판매 유통정보 2개 항목이 도출되었다. 그리고 현 상태의 지속적 유지가 필요한 분야는 6개 항목, 낮은 우선순위를 가지는 분야는 3개 항목, 과잉노력을 지양해 할 분야는 4개 항목으로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 산림복합경영사업의 추진방향 설정 및 제도개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

네비게이션을 이용한 절토사면 데이터 관리 시스템 (Slope-Navi) 구현 (Application of Navigation System on the Cut Slope Management)

  • Cut Slope Management System(CSMS) is a systematic maintenance and management system designed to prevent the collapse of cut slopes located along national roads and to minimize damages caused by slope collapse related accidents. In order to implement a maintenance and management system that will ensure safe road operation, the Korean government has started the inventory of cut slopes and developed a cut slope database since 2006. The study on the application of cut slope database is on-going and part of this study is the development of cut slope database management system (Slope-navi) using GIS technology and navigation system for the effective and efficient cut slope management using Information Technology. Using the Navigation Cut Slope Data Management System the previously developed database was checked and verified. The converted cut slope inventory data and field investigation reports of about 20,000 cut slopes were loaded in the navigation map. Through the development of the navigation's cut slope data search system, a systematic and efficient cut slope database management and operation in the prevention of slope collapse and remedial measure selection was established.

Analytic Hierarchy Process for Prioritizing Radiation Safety Measures in Medical Institutions

  • Background: This study aimed to prioritize policy measures to improve radiation safety management in medical institutions using the analytic hierarchy process. Materials and Methods: It adopted three policy options-engineering, education, and enforcement-to categorize safety management measures, the so-called Harvey's 3Es. Then, the radiation safety management measures obtained from the current system and other studies were organized into action plan categories. Using the derived model, this study surveyed 33 stakeholders of radiation safety management in medical institutions and analyzed the importance of each measure. Results and Discussion: As a result, these stakeholders generally identified enforcement as the most important factor for improving the safety management system. The study also found that radiation safety officers and medical physicists perceived different measures as important, indicating clear differences in opinions among stakeholders, especially in improving quality assurance in radiation therapy. Hence, the process of coordination and consensus is likely to be critical in improving the radiation safety management system. Conclusion: Stakeholders in the medical field consider enforcement as the most critical factor in improving their safety management systems. Specifically, the most crucial among the six specific action plans was the "reinforcement of the organization and workforce for safety management," with a relative importance of 25.7%.

지방정부의 대기환경예산 지출이 대기오염 정도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Local Government's Expenditure on Air Quality in Korea)

  • In this study, we attempt to provide empirical evidence for the effect of the expenditure of the local governments on the air quality management. Based on the statistical data, the concentrations of air pollutants including $PM_{10}$, $O_3$, and $NO_2$ were analyzed in accordance with local characteristics of the local governments' environmental expenditure, demographic characteristics, and economic and human resources between 2008 and 2014. The results showed that government spending is estimated to have insignificant impact on air pollutants concentration. All these results are consistently corroborated from the analysis based on different alternative measure of local governments' expenditure (budget composition and measure of expenditure residuals). Subsequently, this study implies that environmental expenditures of local governments have not been effectively enforced to enhance the air quality of the region in Korea.

우리 나라의 항생제 소비액 추계 연구 (Estimation of the Consumption of Antibiotics in Korea)

  • This study aims to estimate the consumption of antibiotics in Korea and to suggest the further studies. To measure the amount of antibiotics consumption, we referred to the statistic of NFHI(National Federation of Health Insurance) and a private institute of pharmaceutical information(Korea Intercontinental Medical Statistics; IMS Korea). There were 1,563 antibiotics produced in Korea in 1997. The total amount of antibiotics production was 1,197 billion won in 1997. Antibiotics accounted for 17.6% of the total pharmaceutical productions in 1997. Cephalosporins have taken the largest part of antibiotics production since 1992. The estimation using NFHI data showed that the total expenditure of antibiotics used in health facilities was 268 billion won, 608 billion won, 911 billion won in 1990, 1994, 1997 respectively. Tertiary hospitals spent 246 billion won, general hospitals 287 billion won, hospitals 78 billion won, clinics 300 billion won in 1997. The amount of expenditure and the intensity of antibiotics consumption in hospitals have increased more steeply than any other health facilities. The total expenditure of antibiotics consumption in health facilities and pharmacies was 778 billion won when estimated using the data from IMS Korea, and 999 billion won from NFHI. Cephalosporins was the fast growing antibiotics group in all of the market- hospitals, clinics, pharmacies since 1991. To measure the amount and patterns of antibiotics consumption more precisely, a pharmaceutical monitoring or surveillance system is needed.

농촌 주거지역 쓰레기소각으로 인한 산불화재 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement Method of Forest Fire Caused by Waste Incineration at the Farming Residential Area)

  • Currently the forest area is 6,370,000 hectare (ha) which occupies 63.7% in Korea. The forest has good functions such as production of forest products, conservation of national land, prevention of disasters, etc. However constructing houses near the forest area make bad situation like illegal waste incineration by resident. So research subject is forest fire caused by waste incineration place including facility. And this study was conducted about statistical analysis and research analysis of the 100 waste incineration places including facilities at the country town. Statistical analysis shows that March is 27% which percentage is the highest number of forest fire in 10 years' average. The number of forest fire caused by waste incineration is 45 which is the third highest number in the fire statistic. The distance between waste incineration place including facility and forest area is 30m, 40m and 50m. That 40m (36%) is the most common distance from forest area. The types of waste incineration are ground (62%), the temporary facility made with oil drum can (35%) and other made with steel sheet, concrete, etc. The result of this study is that government and local government must conduct the improvement measure to reduce illegal incineration such as waste pickup area made with rain and wind proof type installed near residence, expenses for waste treatment, enlightenment and training, etc. Also considering their age and income are needed for realistic improvement.

Structural Framework to Measure Smart Technology Capability for Smart Factory of Manufacturing Fields

  • Smart technology has been utilized in various fields of all kinds of industries. Manufacturing industry has built its smart technology environment appropriate for its manufacturing fields in order to strengthen its manufacturing performance and competitiveness. The advance of smart technology for manufacturing industry needs to efficiently produce products, and response customer's demands and services in a global industrial environment. The smart technology capability of manufacturing fields is very crucial for the innovative production and efficient operation activities, and for efficient advancement of the manufacturing performance. We have necessitated a scientific and objective method that can gauge a smart technology ability in order to manage and strengthen the smart technology ability of manufacturing fields. This research provides a comprehensive framework that can rationally gauge the smart technology capability of manufacturing fields for effectively managing and advancing their smart technology capabilities. In this research, we especially develop a structural framework that can gauge the smart technology capability for a smart factory of manufacturing fields, with verifying by reliability analysis and factor analysis based on previous literature. This study presents a 13-item framework that can measure the smart technology capability for a smart factory of manufacturing fields in a smart technology perspective.

An algorithm of marking line correction for robot-based layout automation of building structures

  • Robot-based layout automation has been recently promoted for the purpose of improving productivity and quality. Marking robots have various functional demands to secure marking precision and environmental adaptability. In particular, in order to automate marking work of building structure, correction of the marking line through position recognition of rebars placed is required. Because the rebars must maintain a constant cover thickness from the formwork surface, if the rebars are out of planned position, the rebar or marking line need to be corrected to secure the cover thickness. Thus, the marking robot for structural work needs to have the function for determining the position correction of the rebar or the marking line. In order to judge the correction of marking line, it is required to measure the distance between the planned marking line and the rebar placed. Therefore, this study proposes an algorithm that can measure the distance between the planned line and the rebar, and correct marking line for the automatic operation of the marking robot. The results of this study will be utilized as a core function for unmanned operation of the marking robot and contribute to securing precise marking by reflecting construction errors.

사업보고서 정정보고와 이익조정의 관계 (The Relation between Correction of Annual Reports and Earnings Management)

  • Purpose - This paper examined the relation between Correction of Annual Reports and Earnings management. The annual reports are used as key reports for critical decision making by providing useful information to various stakeholders across the firm. Design/methodology/approach - The sequence of this study is analysed that each of the following two cases affects the earning management: 1. that corrections have been made; 2. Where financial information have been modified or non-financial information have been modified during the correction of the annual report. We draw an initial sample of firms listed on the Korea Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2017. Among these, we excluded firms that were not able to obtain the variables needed to measure the correction of Annual Reports and the earnings management. Finally, we use the 7,035 firm-year observations. Findings - Our empirical results of this study are as follows; First, it turned out that the earnings management of companies that report business reports on corrections is larger than those that do not. Second, among the types of annual report corrections, the correction of non-financial information is significantly larger on earnings management than the correction of financial information. Research implications or Originality - The correction disclosure of business reports is a very important issue in terms of accounting information accuracy and reliability. The results of this study will provide policy implications for correction disclosures and regulations due to an important issue as accounting information. An entity that initially prepares accounting information should advanced in such a way that it provides high quality accounting information and then complements and accepts it by various stakeholders.
