본 연구의 목적은 국립세종도서관 정책정보서비스의 고도화를 위해 서비스 현황 및 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 개선 전략을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 정책정보서비스 제공자와 이용자를 면담 조사하였으며, 서비스 제공 및 이용 상의 문제점을 파악하였다. 서비스 제공자 면담을 통해 서비스 제공 체계의 분산 및 이원화에 따른 문제점과 서비스 유형별 제공 상의 문제점을 식별하였고, 서비스 이용자 면담을 통해 주요 이용자 유형, 서비스 이용 전반에 대한 인식, 서비스 유형별 이용 상의 문제점, 정책정보 이용절차 상의 문제점을 제시하였다. 연구결과에 기초하여 개선 전략을 여섯 영역(수집, 서비스, 조직, 시스템, 홍보, 협력)으로 나누어 제안하였다. 이들 전략을 바탕으로 정책정보서비스의 개선이 이루어진다면 정책정보 이용자의 정보요구를 효과적으로 충족시켜 서비스 이용의 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

도서관 통계는 내부적으로 도서관업무를 파악하고 평가하기 위하여, 외부적으로 사회 속에서 도서관이 얼마나 중요한 기관인가에 대한 가치와 업적을 표현하는 수단이다. 동시에 기존의 사회지표, 문화지표와도 체계를 같이 하여야 한다. 이러한 기준 하에서 미국 국가정보표준화기구(NISO)에서 개발한 도서관통계기준, 캐나다의 도서관핵심통계 등 주요국가의 도서관통계를 살피고, 전문가를 통한 델파이기법을 통한 조사를 거쳐 7개부문, 31개 한국도서관통계 항목을 개발하였다. 또한 사회지표 및 문화지표 내의 도서관 관련 지표항목으로 6개 분야 21개항목을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 도서관명의 변화 분석을 통해 도서관계의 주요한 변화를 밝히고자 하였다. 2015년부터 2020년까지 국가도서관통계시스템에 등록된 도서관명을 이용하여 변화의 유형과 특징을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 5년 동안의 도서관명 변화 과정 속에서 총 211건의 변화를 발견하였고 이들을 7가지 유형으로 구분하였다. 분석과정을 통해 도서관계에서의 운영주체 논란과 청소년서비스에 대한 관심 증가, 도서관 주제 특성화, 공모전을 통한 도서관명 결정 등이 주요한 특징으로 나타났다.

이 연구는 우리나라 초대 국립도서관장 이재욱의 저작 목록과 관련 자료를 수집·정리하고, 이를 통해 그가 도서관계에 미친 업적을 찾아내기 위한 것이다. 이에 따라 기존에 수집된 이재욱의 저작 목록과 새로 수집한 목록의 원문을 찾아 비교함으로써 전체 목록의 수정과 보완, 추가 작업이 이루어졌다. 그 결과, 이재욱의 저작은 단행본, 도서관 전문지, 교양 잡지, 각종 신문 등을 통해 발표한 190건의 목록으로 완성되었다. 다음, 당대 관련 사료와 함께 목록의 내용을 분석한 결과, 이재욱의 업적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그는 다양한 고전연구를 통하여 우리나라의 책과 글에서 문헌학과 서지학적 가치를 찾아냈다. 둘째, 그는 일제강점기 근대 도서관의 이론과 실제를 우리나라에 이식하는 데 중요한 역할을 했다. 셋째, 각종 매체에 발표한 칼럼과 에세이를 통해 우리나라 전역의 독서문화 확산을 위해 노력했다. 넷째, 미 군정청이 요구한 국립도서관의 법제 도서 이관 문제를 해결하고, 조선도서관학교를 설립하는 등 선구적 리더십으로 초기 국립도서관의 위상과 기초를 만드는데 기여했다. 다섯째, 조선도서관협회장으로서 도서관 사업 강습회, 독서주간 제정 및 실시, 대외 교류 등 우리나라 도서관계가 해야 할 핵심사업을 추진했다.

본 연구는 국립중앙도서관의 사명과 역할의 수립에 초점을 맞춰 전략을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 세부적으로 다음과 같이 고찰하고자 한다. 첫째, 국립중앙도서관의 사명과 역할은 어떠한 과정을 거쳐 어떻게 정의되고 있는지, 그 내용은 무엇을 담고 있는지를 알아보고, 둘째, 선진국의 국가대표도서관들의 사명과 역할은 어떠한 내용으로 구성되어 있는지, 도서관 관련 국제기구들은 국가대표도서관의 사명과 역할에 대해 무엇을 권고하고 있는지를 살펴보며, 셋째, 이를 바탕으로 향후 국립중앙도서관이 국가대표도서관으로서 지식정보사회의 중추적인 기관으로 성장ㆍ발전할 수 있도록 그 사명과 역할을 수립하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

A library of parametric CAD models should be provided for the reuse of design data in configuration design. Mechanical products have many options and parameters, which in turn, require a large number of CAD models for configuration designs. Existing methods for library construction are limited in their ability to decrease the number of CAD models and ensure independency between the configuration design system and the library. To solve these problems, we propose a method that controls a CAD library based on part-shape information model, and also present its technical details. To verify the proposed method, a CAD library for bicycles was constructed and design modification experiments using a prototype part-shape controller were performed. From the experiments, we found that the proposed method can effectively decrease the required number of CAD models by reusing models for configuration designs.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influential factors creating the modern library thought in the latter part of Yi Dynasty. After Korea was forced to make a treaty opening up the country in 1876, Western civilization was introduced and reforms were carried out eventually. Various influential factors could be taken into consideration as follows. (1) The envoys to Japan after 1876 (2) Tourists party to Japan organized by Gentlemen in 1982 (3) The persons who studied abroad (4) Establishment of modern schools and development of publications: on the new learning. (5) News media and others Above all, the persons who studied abroad, such as Yu Gil Jun, Yun Chi Ho, etc., in early stage has contributed most to the extension of public recognition for modern library in Korea. Therefore it can be said that the formation of modern library thought in Korea was based on the theory of the Western library as was the Japan in the period of Meiji Restoration. Patriotic intelectualls in these days believed that reform of the educational system and the diffusion of knowledge was very much meeded in order to preserve an independent Korea and to build up national strength, and then nation-wide campaign for enlightenment was earried on. For that reason the movement of the national library establishment in 1906 also should be regarded from the same point of view, that is, as a part of the enlightenment campaign. Therefore it should not go unheeded that strong patriotism was always streamed under the ground of the library campaign as well as the new learning and new education campaign. Unfortunately every plan of Korean library movement had broken down and missed the chance for having experience of self-development because of the Japanese invasion.

Half a century has passed since the academic field of library and information science, which was born at the end of the 19th Century in the Western world, was introduced to Korea. Despite years of quantitative growth and qualitative maturation, the field has been facing the inconvenient truths of discrepancies in education levels arising from varying education providers, and weakened public confidence in librarian certification. Based on analysis of librarian training and education programs and the certification system, this research seeks to point out the limitations of the national librarian certification system, which is losing public confidence, and present a model for improvement. Library and information science education has expanded from universities to the academy of librarian education and lifelong education centers, and the librarian certification system has emerged as a target of reform. This research presents measures to improve the librarian certification system to government bodies and the Committee on Library and Information Policy with the purpose of providing grounds for policy enforcement.

"Jonkyongkak" which King, Sungjong of Yi dynasty established within Sungkyunkwan in 1475 is regarded as the first university library in Korea. On the basis of modern librarianship, however, it is desirable to recognize the fact that Keijo Imperial University Library is really the first university library in Korea. In this thesis, an attempt to study the Korean university libraries under the period of Japanese control is provided. Keijo Imperial University Library is the key institution in this study. This study will focus to review the following facts: 1) the historical background of Keijo. Imperial University Library; 2) the organization and staffing pattern, and budget of this library; 3) the acquisition policy and basic collection development plan of this library; 4) the library and other services of this library including readers services; 5) the relationship with other private college libraries; and 6) the impact of this library on the present Seoul National University Library. The followings are the outlined conclusions: 1. Japanese Government had established Keijo Imperial University Library in order to perform the colonial education policy of Korean peninsula. Furthermore, it was one of the import supporting agencies for the research activities which were necessary for Japan to govern the Southeast Asia including Korean Peninsula 2. The organization and staffing size and pattern of this library are much below to those of modern university libraries. They are somewhat below to the level which is necessary to perform the minimum basic library functions. 3. The priorities of book collection of this library are 1) humanities and social sciences especially, materials on Law are much emphasized; 2) pure sciences and 3) technologies and agriculture. Therefore, the quantity of the materials on the field of technology and agriculture is very small. 4. The acquisition policies of this library are deeply influenced by the Japanese Government's colonial policy of Korean peninsula and her aggressive policy of Chinese Continent. 5. The major contribution of this library to the present Seoul National University Library is the transfer of 550,000 volumes of books and library building, but this building is now removed according to the transfer of Seoul National University Campus. 6. The staffing pattern of this library was, however, much ahead of that times. Especially, the facts that professional librarians were eligible to be appointed as the director of this library, and they had the faculty membership including faculty rank should be highly appreciated.

국립세종도서관은 국내 행정 정책의 요람인 정부부처 및 국책연구기관에 정책수집 집행기능을 지원하기 위한 각종 지식정보를 수집 제공하는 정책정보 중심의 특화도서관이다. 따라서 국립세종도서관의 정체성을 확고하게 하려면 납본, 구입, 수증, 디지털 아카이빙 등 다양한 수집방식을 적용하여 국내외 고품질 정책정보를 수집하고 부존 자원화 하는 과정이 선행되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 여러 수집방안 중에서 수증에 초점을 맞추어 정책정보의 주요 생산자이자 수요자인 국가정책정보협의회 회원기관을 대상으로 협의회 운영 및 정책정보서비스에 대한 인식도와 정책자료 대량기증 수요를 조사 분석하고 국립세종도서관 정책정보 수집력 강화방안을 제시하였다.
