  • With a global shift from carbon economy towards hydrogen economy, leading countries such as the U.S., Europe, China, and Japan are focusing their research capabilities on hydrogen research and development(R&D) by announcing various hydrogen economy policies. South Korea also has been following this global trend by announcing hydrogen economy roadmap in January 2019 and legislating hydrogen economy related law. In this paper, we tried to figure out the national R&D trend of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle(FCEV) and its knowledge structure by using recent 10-year project data of National Technology and Information Service(NTIS). We collected 1,479 FCEV-related projects and conducted text mining and network analysis. According to the analysis, FCEV-related R&D has been actively carried out over the entire process of hydrogen production, transport, storage, and utilization. Furthermore, the paper provides insights into the government's policy agenda building and market strategy on the hydrogen economy.

  • The main purpose of the study is to determine the main aspects of the introduction of modern technologies in the personnel management system in the context of the development of the digital economy. The human factor is one of the most important resources of any organization, which has a significant impact on the success of its activities. It is people who are the source of advantages that provide the company with victory in the competition. Therefore, the primary task of the organization's management should be the formation of effective personnel management systems. As a result, the main features of the introduction of modern technologies into the personnel management system in the context of the development of the digital economy were identified.

  • Because of high oil prices and emission gas problems, many governments tighten regulation of fuel economy and emission gas. For Passenger car, there are many researches for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and they are being manufactured. On the other hand, there are few researches for plug-in hybrid electric bus that is heavy commercial vehicle. In this study, analysis of fuel economy for series plug-in hybrid electric bus according to engine operation strategy based on simulation is conducted. Forward simulator is developed using Autonomie. Engine operation strategies consist on constant engine operation strategy and engine on/off operation strategy. Considering the engine operation strategy, results of vehicle speed, engine operating points and fuel economy are obtained and analyzed. As a result, engine on/off operation strategy has more advantage than constant engine operation strategy in terms of fuel economy.

  • The intensification of the processes of the digital economy development is leading to the transformation of the higher education system. Universities are forced to digitalize their own educational, research, international, marketing, financial and economic activities in order to maintain a competitive position in the global market of educational services. The purpose of the article is to study the role of information and communication technologies in the development of the higher education system and to ensure its adaptability to modern challenges of digital economy. To achieve this goal, methods of content analysis, logical generalization, systematization and a structural-functional method are used. In the article, the authors substantiate the urgency of forming a holistic strategy to ensure the adaptability of higher education to the challenges of digital economy. In the structure of this strategy, the information-technological block is singled out and described. The authors specified a set of positive synergetic effects from the introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the activities of universities. The main information threats to the digitalization of higher education related to the protection of personal data and university systems from cyberattacks and fraudulent schemes are identified. In conclusion, the authors detail the measures for the strategy implementation to ensure the adaptability of higher education to digital economy.

  • The informal economy is a large part of the urban economy. The informal economy accounts for about half of Pakistan's GDP. This research examined nine different areas of Rawalpindi's Central Business District's business sector (CBD). A survey of 404 respondents from 16 CBD marketplaces enables a comprehensive examination of who works in the informal and formal economic sectors, how much they earn, their goals, perception of their job, and their degree of similarity to the rest of the working population. Furthermore, the statistics illustrate the pro-cyclical connections between the informal economic sector and the formal economy. The Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR) technique is used for the analysis. The MLR results indicated the informal economic sector holds positive relation with earning members in a family, business expertise, average business sale, and negative relation with education level, satisfaction with government tax policies, household expense, and average investment in the business. From a resilience standpoint, governance is considered an intentional collective action to preserve a stable system condition. Hence, the current study recommends tax reforms and government institution reorganization to mobilize the informal sector and make effective institutional governance.

  • The hydrogen economy is still a niche market and a new system. If we believe in the optimism and the hope of human history of technological progress, the hydrogen economy will be a new paradigm to replace the carbon economy. The research question is what kind of leadership the government should show in order to revitalize the hydrogen economy. In response to the research question, this study highlights the governance leadership. The new economy must be newly recognized before they can find a solution. This research can be the first step in finding the way.

  • High oil price and global warming problem are being continued all over the world. For this reason, fuel economy and emission of greenhouse gas are regulated by law in many countries. Therefore many companies are researching and producing hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) which substitute conventional internal combustion engine vehicle. However, these researches and productions are restricted to mainly passenger cars. Because of cost and physical problems, commercial vehicles are difficult to evaluate fuel economy. So simulations are important and it is necessary to know how sensitive parameters that enter into simulation affect. In this paper, forward simulations using AVL Cruise were conducted for analysis of fuel economy for parallel hybrid bus and were repeated by changing each parameter. Based on these results, root mean square errors (RMSE) are calculated for analysis of fuel economy sensitivity. The number of target parameters are 15. These parameters were classified with high and low sensitivity parameter relatively.

  • Based on the Knowledge Spillover Theory of Entrepreneurship, this study analyzes the relationship between technological entrepreneurship and national competitiveness. It also analyzes how innovation-driven economy moderates this relationship. Using data on technological entrepreneurship, national competitiveness indexes and economy development stages from 83 countries over 2011 to 2014, this study finds that a ratio of technology-based start-ups in a country has a U-shaped relationship with national competitiveness. this study also finds that countries that are in the innovation-driven economy strengthen this relationship. This finding shows that a higher ratio of technology-based start-ups of a country does not have unconditional positive effects on national competitiveness, thus, related environments and conditions should be elaborately matched. In particular, this finding also implies that policies related to technology-based start-ups should have a proper fit with the level of economic development of the country so that the positive effects of technological entrepreneurship on national competitiveness can be strengthened.

  • Green technologies are essential tools to ensure sustainable development of the economy. In this regard, the article deals with analysis of the development tendency of green economy in Kazakhstan emphasizing commercialization of green technologies. In the first part of the study, authors investigated more than 50 official sources of information, including laws, concepts, programs, events and reviews of major international organizations. The study's methodological basis included Kazakhstan's legislative and regulatory Acts, state programs and Concept for transition to Green economy, and data about innovations in the field of green technologies. Six experts were interviewed in order to determine factors which interfere to commercialization of green technologies. Urgent problems and trends of development, challenges and obstacles to gain green economy have also been identified in the result of expert interviewing. The research shows that despite Kazakhstan's intentions to update and develop much of its infrastructure over the coming 20 years, inefficient use of resources is currently observed in every sector. It is necessary to encourage scientists and entrepreneurs to invent and commercialize new green technologies. That would be basis for successful implementation of transition from "brown" to green economy.

  • Fuel economy is an important factor in a vehicle owing to recent energy supply and environmental problems. This paper deals with fuel cell hybrid vehicles (FCHVs) and introduces a fuel economy evaluation method. The fuel economy of an FCHV depends on its power management strategy. Two rule-based power management strategies are applied to this paper and their fuel economy is evaluated based on the optimal control theory. The concept of the optimal line is also applied to this paper, which is used to compare the fuel consumption of a power management strategy to the optimal result. The two rule-based strategies are also compared to each other.
