Improvement Strategies for the Management and Status Inspection System of National Survey Control Point Markers (국가 측량기준점 표지 관리 및 조사체계의 개선방안)

  • The objective of this study is to improve the survey rate and reliability of survey control point marks, which serve as the foundation for location-based services. Within the scope of this research, we have inspected the current status and reporting systems for national control point marks, public control point marks, and cadastral control point marks, identifying various issues. To tackle these challenges, we have prepared proposals for new unit cost calculations for national control point mark inspections, enhancements to the inspection and reporting systems for survey control point marks, and preliminary reporting procedures for surveyors using these control point marks. Additionally, we have established a workflow to refine the process of survey control point mark inspections and have proposed an automated system for calculating the unit cost for unreported targets. The study anticipates that these changes will improve the efficiency of future survey control point mark inspection tasks.

  • There are about 22,000 national control points throughout this nation. However, in order to identify the location data of a national control point, a control point result table is needed. And although the control points are important national facilities, due to the fact that these points located at remote areas such as on top of mountains, the facilities are being maintained via on-site inspection without any protections around them. In this research, by taking the locations where the control points are placed into consideration, a specialized RFID tags that can be attached to the national control point's marker has been developed, and CDMA-ready PDA based mobile Web System and national control point control system are developed as well. With help of these systems, control point data can be checked at the seen, and national control point maintenance personnel can find out about maintenance status and keep track of usage record. When these systems are taken into effect, access to the national control point data becomes easy, fast response to the change in data can be possible, and management efficiency will go up. When the Ubiquitous society becomes reality, the importance of location information will be high. Therefore, national control points using above mentioned RFID tags will not only be useful to the control point users and maintenance personnels such as professional land surveyors, but also useful when providing location based services to people, and it will become an important national infrastructure in terms of providing absolute location information.

  • In this paper, we propose a management system for positioning and indicating the surveyed control point using RFID and UMPC. This system is composed of digital control point, management system and application. The digital control point transmits information of the surveyed control point and the management system receives the data from the digital control points and manages the scattered digital control points. The system offers three services for managing the surveyed control point. The first service is control point monitoring service for identifying the change of location, locating the missing control point and the second service is control point search service notifying selected control point to user, and the third service is control point land management service for editing the control point information in the land. Therefore, this system makes it easy for administrators to access the control point information of the scattered surveyed control point through the country and enhances the managing efficiency.

  • It proposes an efficient control algorithm to increase electric power transmission efficiency between photovoltaic power generating system and the grid. The main controller finds a maximum efficiency condition by considering the quantity of power generated from PV arrays, the number of inverters, and efficiency of PV inverter. According to the condition, a relay board arranges a point of contract of PV arrays. By the disposition of PV arrays, it assigns the optimized power on each PV inverter. Operational principle of the proposed maximum efficiency point tracking algorithm is given in detail. To verify the validity of the proposed approach, computer-aided simulation and experiment carried out.

  • This paper propose method of maximum power point tracking using boost converter for a connected single phase inverter. The maximum power point tracking control is based on generated circuit control MOSFET switch of two boost converter and single phase inverter uses predicted current control to control four IGBT's switch in full bridge. The predicted current control provide current with sinusoidal wave shape and inphase with voltage.

  • The national geodetic control point is very important as a framework for drafting plans for construction and civil engineering works as well as mapping for various development and utilization plans related to the national land. Since the 1910s, Korea has established and managed the national geodetic control points, the triangulation points and the benchmarks. Currently, these point information is provided through the land information platform. The national geodetic control point has been changed through the process of loss, re-establishment, and re-location by the events and environment of the times. Therefore, it is very important to provide information by linking these past national geodetic control points in time series. In this study, we classified the triangulation points into five groups(Japanese Government General of Korea, YUCCA Project, National Construction Institute, Past Control Point Data Sheet, and Current) by age and then suggests a method to match the same control points in each time period. Finally we also applied the proposed method to Jecheon and analyzed the results.

  • This paper proposes adaptive incremental conductance(A-IC) algorithm for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic. Conventional Perturbation & Observation(PO) and IC MPPT control algorithm generally uses fixed step size. A small fixed step size will cause the tracking speed to decrease and tracking accuracy of the MPP will decrease due to large fixed step size. Therefore, this paper proposes N-IC MPPT algorithm that adjust automatically step size according to operating conditions. To improve tracking speed and accuracy, when operating point is far from maximum power point(MPP), step size uses maximum value and when operating point is near from MPP, step size uses variable step size that adjust according to slope of P-V curve. The validity of MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper prove through compare with conventional IC MPPT algorithm.

  • This paper describes new PID control methods based on the fuzzy logic. PID gains are retuned after evaluating control performances of transient responses in terms of performance features. The retuning procedure is based on fuzzy rules and reasoning accumulated from the knowledge of experts on PID gain scheduling. For the case that the retuned PID gains result in worse CLDR (characteristics of load disturbance rejection) than the initial gains, an on-line tuning scheme of the set-point weighting parameter is, proposed. This is based on the fact that the set-point weighting method efficiently reduce either overshoot or undershoot without any degradation of CLDR. The set-point weighting parameter is adjusted at each sampling instant by the fuzzy rules and reasoning. As a result, better control performances were achived in comparison with die controllers tuned by the Z-N (Ziegler-Nichols) parameter tuning formula or by the fixed set-point weighting parameter.

  • Clutch torque control is the key to the ride comfort improvement of a vehicle equipped with AMT (automated manual transmission). For such control, the torque transfer starting point, known as the "kiss point," should be indicated or at least estimated to compensate for the clutch torque. The kiss point changes due to wear, high temperature, and fatigue; as such, it should be estimated while the vehicle is being driven. In this study, the method of kiss point active estimation for an AMT vehicle with a dry-type clutch was devised. The kiss point is learned while the engine is in an idle state and while the transmission is at a neutral gear position. It is determined when the input shaft of the transmission starts to rotate by slowly engaging the clutch. The noise of the shaft speed signal during the slow engagement process is filtered for accurate control. The kiss point estimation at various clutch engagement speeds was analyzed via a vehicle test.
