This paper proposes a change process model for organization development in health care organizations and provide an OD case exemplar of nursing service unit at Virtual Hospital. This case exemplar was written in a narrative form rather than in an argumentative form as an embodiment of organization development process as is viewed from the cultural/interpretive perspective rather than from the technical/rational one. This case exemplar illustrates the change process which consists of four interrelated components: change intervention, organizational target variables, individual organizational member, and organizational outcomes. It also demonstrates the applicability of the narrative rationality which involves narrative probability and narrative fidelity to the story where the learning organization, shared governance, and empowerment are fully emplotted and enlivened. The implications for organization development in health care organizations are discussed.

본 논문은 죠셉 콘래드의 "어둠의 속"에서 중심인물인 말로우가 자신의 아프리카 탐험을 바탕으로 한 서사를 통해서 스스로를 서구 계몽주의의 합리적 이성주체 그리고 진리주체로 드러내고자 하는 시도를 하고 있음을 고찰하고자 한다. 작품에서 제국주의 이데올로기와 성 이데올로기는 서구 계몽주의 합리적 이성주체를 구성하는 데 작동하고 있다. 말로우는 아프리카에서 커츠를 만나러 가는 여정과 그와의 만남을 통해 제국과 성의 이데올로기들이 외부 현실세계에서 작용하고 있다는 사실을 알게 되었다고 자부한다. 그러나 말로우는 자신의 현실인식 역시 타자를 억압하고 타자의 정체성을 소멸시키는 서구의 전체주의적 이데올로기 담론에 의해 침윤되어있다는 사실을 모르는 주체이다. 말로우는 서구 계몽주의 주체인 동시에 계몽주의의 이분법적 위계서열을 가치판단의 기준으로 삼는 이성에 의해 지배당하는 식민주체이다. 말로우는 자신이 제국주의의 본질이란 정치적 폭력과 경제적 수탈로 점철되는 현실이고 이것을 깨달은 진정한 계몽주체라고 자랑한다. 그러나 그의 서사담론은 제국주의에서 발견되는 배타적이며 자기중심적 이데올로기와 성 이데올로기로 원주민을 비인간적 존재로 판단하고 여성을 이상화된 세계에 매몰된 존재로 파악하는 자기모순의 오류를 범하고 있다.

이야기 구연 현장에서 전달되는 이야기들은 세련되고 정제된 것들 보다는, 왜곡되고 변질된 채 전승되는 이야기들이 더 많다. 거기다가 구연자의 엉뚱한 해석까지를 텍스트 범주에 포함한다면 문제는 더 복잡해진다. 구연 설화의 경우에는 이야기를 연행하는 구연자의 세계관과 이야기 내용이 불일치하는 경우가 흔히 발생하게 되는데, 이 글은 그 동안 우리가 설화를 읽으면서 지나치고 말았던 부분들을 행동경제학적 관점에서 점검함으로써 설화 읽기 내지는 해석에 새로운 관점을 제기한다. 모든 인간의 합리성이란 제한된 합리성일 수밖에 없다. 제한된 합리성으로 인해 인간은 최선의 선택을 하지 못하고 자신이 충분하다고 생각하는 만족할 만한 수준에서 사고를 멈추고 단순한 모형이나 대략적인 추측에 의존하여 의사결정을 하게 된다. 이 단 순화되는 의사결정 과정에 작용하는 것이 바로 휴리스틱(Heuristic)이다. 휴리스틱은 기존 경험이나 특정 정보만을 이용하기 때문에 의사결정이나 행동에 편향(Bias)이 생기게 된다. 구비문학은 언어 대중의 어림짐작과 사고의 편향성에 기반을 두고 전승되어 온 특징이 있기에, 행동경제학의 휴리스틱과 구비문학을 관련시킬 여지는 충분하다. 이 글은 대중의 사고유형과 행동양식에 대한 행동경제학의 관점을 원용하여, 개인과 대중의 기억을 바탕으로 구연되는 이야기에 대해 휴리스틱의 관점에서 논의했다. 휴리스틱은 화자의 실수, 이야기의 착종, 청중의 반응 등 이야기 구연에서 자주 포착되었지만 본격적으로 논의하기 어려웠던 유의미한 사항들을 어떤 방식으로 다룰 수 있는지도 내포하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

This paper examines the role of gender ideology in early British and American detective fiction focusing on the female detectives. Since a detective's attributes honor and idealize such traditionally masculine qualities as independence, intelligence, heroism, and bravery, the woman detective fiction has potentiality to operate against the established gender norms. The narratives about women in pursuit of justice and order through their criminal investigation can allow women to possess the masculine rationality and power. The subversive possibility inherent in the woman detective fiction is, however, contained by the representation of the female detectives and the negotiation through narratives. A female detective is represented either as unfeminine and thus unattractive and unlikeable or as desperate for survival. Her threatening potentiality is easily dismissed as that of an inadequate woman or a desperate one. The compromise in narratives is effected by the following three ways: first, a female detective is assigned to investigate crimes as an assistant to the male detectives; second, staying within the domestic sphere, she solves crimes by using her expert knowledge of the domestic service; and third, her detective narrative ends with the conventional marriage plot. Confining the female detectives within the conventional feminine roles and domains, the woman detective fiction supports and reestablishes the dominant gender ideology.

이 연구는 MCU의 보편적 세계관을 기하학의 관점으로 해석하고 서사적 요소를 수학적 상상력으로 스토리텔링 하는 데 목적이 있다. 스토리텔링을 위해 2016년부터 2019년까지 방영된 페이즈3 시리즈 자료를 활용하였다. 페이즈3 시리즈는 기하학 이론과 미래기술에 대한 다양한 예측을 바탕으로 서사와 이미지에 나타난 실재감이 대중의 상상력을 자극한다. 상상력은 경험하지 않은 것에 대해 다양하고 독창적인 사고를 이루는 원동력이며 혼란 속에서 질서를 찾고 물질에 대해 새로운 인식을 창조하는 능력이다. 예술 활동뿐만 아니라 논리와 합리성이 중시되는 과학 분야에도 상상하는 힘이 매우 필요하다. 바슐라르 상상력은 인간의 원초적 영역인 예술을 지향하고 자연과 만물의 경이로움을 향한 진정함과 열정을 담고 있다. 기하학적 논리와 상상력에 의한 이미지적 몽상으로 MCU의 세계관과 슈퍼히어로 서사를 탐구하면 영화에 나타난 우주적 메시지와 법칙을 이해할 수 있다. 예술과 학문의 융합적 관점에서 MCU 영상 제작에 활용된 수학과 과학적 상상력을 바탕으로 한 다양하고 독창적인 기법은 영상분석의 질을 높이는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

본고는 'SF연극'의 역사와 현재를 논의하고자 하는 시도이다. SF연극은 대중에게 여전히 생소한 장르로, 연극이라는 장르의 특성상 무대는 과학적 상상력을 펼치기에 적절치 않은 공간으로 인지되었다. 연극에 과학적 상상력을 결합한 작품들이 빈번하게 공연되고, SF연극에 대한 인식이 확립되기 시작한 것은 2010년 이후로, 연출자들은 사실적 묘사를 포기하면서 기술의 진보 속에서 고립되는 인간의 심리와 세계의 부조리에 몰두하게 됐고, 이것이 오늘날 한국 SF연극을 개괄하는 바탕이 됐다. 이를 감안하여, SF연극에 대한 연구사와 개념 변화로부터 출발해 식민지시기부터 현재까지 SF극의 공연 현황에 대해 살펴보았다. 현재 SF연극에 대한 함의는 만들어지는 중이며, SF연극의 역사를 검토한 결과 다음의 문제점을 발견할 수 있었다. 첫 번째는 과학적 개연성이나 합리성과 관계없이 미래 사회를 배경으로 하거나 기술의 진보를 언급하면 모두 'SF연극'으로 명명되기에 과학적 상상력이 부재하다는 것이다. 두 번째는 융합을 강조하는 시대에 과학과 무대를 접목했다는 시도 자체가 높이 평가 받으면서, 소재의 진보성에만 천착하고 세계관은 여전히 퇴행적인 경우가 두드러진다는 점이다. 세 번째는 여전히 극본이 SF의 고전이나 일본 원작에 기대어 있는 경우가 많다는 점이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 장르물에 대한 젊은 창작자들의 다양한 시도가 새로운 소재를 원하는 동시대 관객과 호흡할 수 있다면, 한국형 SF극의 저변은 보다 긍정적인 의미에서 확대될 수 있을 것이다.

In Jesmyn Ward's 2017 novel, Sing, Unburied, Sing, Ward places herself within the modern African American literary tradition and lays out the unending "historical traumas" of blacks and cultural haunting in her narrative. She brings to the fore the story of a young black boy and demonstrates the difficulty of living while a black man in the American rural South. Living or dead, black males remain spectral as their frustrated black bodies are endlessly rejected and disembodied. It's through Ward's close attention to the notions of black masculinity and retrieval of (black) humanity that the black South is remembered, recuperated, and historicized. Shrewdly enough, Ward expands it further into the tradition of American literature. Instead of singularizing African American identity and its historical traumas, she renders them the part of American history and universalizing the single black story as the story of the American South. Filling in the gaps that Faulkner and other white writers have left in their novels, Ward writes stories about the unspeakable, the invisible, the excluded to deconstruct white narratives and rebuild the American history; and reasserts African roots and history, spirituality, black raciality and locality within the American tradition. I examine the symbolic significance of Jojo's claim of black masculinity within the socio-political contexts of contemporary America. I also look closely at Ward's portrayal of Jojo's black family genealogy on account of its traumatic experiences of incarceration in notorious Parchman Farm. Locating Jojo as the inspiration of linking the past and the present, the unburied and the living, I contend that Ward creates "home" for blacks in an atemporal oceanic space where the past and the present are able to meet simultaneously. I argue that the oceanic space is an alternative space of affect that functions against the space of white rationality.
