  • 다양한 형태의 문서정보를 표현하는 방법으로서 특히 사용자와 사용방법을 적절히 한정할 수 있는 전자교범에는 정보의 기본단위를 모듈펄 구성하고 이의 형식을 GM(Generic Model)로 구성, XML의 사용용이성과 메타언어 특징인 포멧분리를 이용한 다중 Namespace의 적용을 통하여 원하는 형태의 전자 문서를 생산할 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study is to design semantic web and policy direction for national knowledge and information management. The paper describes all the components needed to accomplish the objective: 1) creating unchangeable and unique identifiers for metadata elements, resources, and ontology classes and properties; 2) recommending active use of XML namespaces; 3) establishing metadata and application profile standards for national integrated searching; 4)developing a metadata registry to promote semantic interoperability among metadata; 5) discussing the need of creating ontologies using W3C OWL and ISO Topic Maps; 6) providing intelligent search services based on metadata; and 7) presenting future directions and tasks of national knowledge and information management.

  • This study designed a suitable preservation metadata for archives of Korean traditional arts. To accomplish this task, we consulted OAIS reference model and PREMIS data dictionary, analyzed various preservation metadata. and surveyed resource characteristics of Korean traditional arts. We adopted elements with namespaces, honored original definitions and scopes by not violating principles of designing application profiles, and extended elements where necessary.

  • Dynamic dan loading and class linking of Java is a poweful mechanism. Many other system also support some form of dynamic loading and linking, but lazy loading, type-safe linkage, user-definable class loading policy, and multiple namespaces are important features of Java The ue U dan loading is assured of type safety. The security of Java greatly depends on type safety. In JVM, type safety mechanism is very difficult and access of accuracy is not dear, so type safety problems were raised. In paper, n analysis simple Java code and present a diagram graph and an operational semantics for dynamic class loading and type safety.

  • XML은 기존 HTML의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 새로운 기술로 다양한 응용분야에 활용되고 있으며 많은 응용 제품들이 개발되고 있다. XML편집기, XSL편집기, XML브라우져, XML저장 관리기, XML문서 저장 관리기, XML문서 검색기, XML Conversion Tool등의 다양한 XML응용 프로그램에서 사용할 수 있는 표준 라이브러리 API인 DOM(Document Object Model)과 SAX(Simple API for XML)를 지원하며 XML문서의 모든 구성요소에 대한 처리를 할 수 있는 파서가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 다양한 응용 프로그램의 요구사항을 분석하고 이를 반영하여 처리할 수 있는 XML Toolkit모델을 제시한다. 본 XML Toolkit은 W3C XML 1.0스펙과 W3C Namespaces in XML스펙과 W3C DOM Level 1스펙을 지원하며 XML사용자 그룹에서 정의한 SAX를 지원한다. 또한 표준 API로 접근할 수 없거나 그 기능이 표준에서 정의되지 않은 추가 기능을 제공하기 위한 XML문서의 내부자료구조를 정의하고 이의 처리를 위한 API를 제공한다.

The SemanticWeb Technology and its Applications (시맨틱웹 기술과 활용방안)

  • The Semantic Web is a new technology that attempts to achieve effective retrieval, automation, integration, and reuse of web resources by constructing knowledge bases that are composed of machine-readable definitions and associations of resources that express the relationships among them. To have this kind of Semantic Web in place, it is necessary to have the following infrastructures: capability to assign unchangeable and unique identifier (URI) to each resource, adoption of XML namespace concept to prevent collision of element and attribute names defined by various institutions, widespread use of RDF to describe resources so that diverse metadata can be interoperable, use of RDF schema to define the meaning of metadata elements and the relationships among them, adoption of DAML+OIL that is built upon RDF(S) to increase reasoning capability and expressive power, and finally adoption of OWL that is built upon DAML+OIL by removing unnecessary constructors and adding new ones based on experience of using DAML+OIL. The purpose of this study is to describe the central concepts and technologies related to the Semantic Web and to discuss the benefits of metadata interoperability based on XML/RDF schemas and the potential applications of diverse ontologies.

  • Many countries have established eBook standards adequate to their environments. In USA, OEB PS is announced for distribution and display of eBooks, in Japan, JepaX is announced for storage and exchange, and in Korea, EBKS is made for clear exchange of eBook contents. These diverse objectives lead to different content structures. These variety of content structure will cause a problem in exchanging them. To correctly exchange eBook contents, the content structure should be considered. So, In this paper, we study conversion methods of standard eBooks contents based on Korean eBook standard, with contemplating content structure. To convert contents properly, the mapping relations should be clearly defined. For this, we consider standard's structure and extension mechanisms, and use path notations and namespaces for precise description. Moreover, through analysis of each mapping relationships, we classify conversion cases into automatic, semi-automatic, and manual conversions. Finally we write up conversion scripts and experiment with them.
