GDI와 MPI 자동차의 미세입자 배출특성 비교 (Comparisons of the Particle Emission Characteristics Between GDI and MPI Vehicles)

  • As the regulations for Particulate Matter (PM) and Particle Number (PN) emissions from Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) Vehicle stringent recently, a lot of studies have been made on the emission characteristics of PM and PN. In this study, PM and PN emission characteristics were compared to GDI and Multi Port Injection (MPI) Vehicles using the Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) measurement equipment. And driving mode is divided into normal driving mode (CVS-75, NEDC, NIER 6, NIER 9) and a constant speed driving mode (10 km/h, 35 km/h, 80 km/h, 110 km/h) to evaluate the characteristics in the various operating conditions. In the results, most of the driving mode, PM and PN were emitted from GDI Vehicle more than MPI Vehicle. However, in the constant speed mode of 110 km/h, PM and PN from MPI Vehicle were also a lot of emission. It is determined to cause a difficulty in the fuel injection control of the MPI Vehicle.

  • In this study, the nano-particle emitted from Gasoline Direct Injection(GDI) vehicles was measured using the Engine Exhaust Particle Sizer(EEPS) on a chassis dynamometer. In addition, driving mode were divided into cold start mode(CVS-75, NEDC) and hot start mode(NIER-6, NIER-9) to evaluated the characteristics in the various operating conditions. The Particle Number(PN) concentration was analyzed for various driving patterns, i.e., acceleration, deceleration, idling, cruising and the phases of mode. In a result, Total concentration of PN for size was concentrated from 50 to 100 nm and acceleration represents the highest concentration among the driving pattern. It is believed that the increases quantity of fuel, and mixture will be richer than other patterns.

  • Nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$) is an important urban pollutant in Korea. Expecially, diesel vehicles are responsible for the most traffic rated nitrogen oxide ($NO_X$) emission, including nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$). Though nitrogen oxide ($NO_X$) emission from vehicle was applied a strict enforcement of emission standard, the specific $NO_2$ fraction in $NO_X$ ($NO_2/NO_X$) from various types of diesel vehicles was not understood. In order to investigate the fraction of $NO_2/NO_X$, the vehicle emission study was carried out at the facility of Transport Pollution Research Center (TPRC), National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), Korea. Three different types of diesel vehicles(VAN, SUV, passenger) were tested on the NIER driving mode. The result of $NO_2/NO_X$ ratio was over 0.1 for all test vehicles and the highest $NO_2$ emission was observed at the van vehicle. The observation was showed that the emission trend of $NO_2/NO_X$ for passenger and SUV vehicles were inversely proportional. Also, as the emission standard has been strengthen, the emission rate of $NO_2$ has been decrease.

국내에서 운영중인 시내버스의 시험모드에 따른 배출특성 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of Emission Characteristics of In-Use Urban Bus by Test Modes)

  • Recently, emission tests for heavy-duty vehicles have been conducted by heavy-duty engine dynamometer. But, it contains weaknesses that present inconveniences to install and uninstall engines and limitations to reflect on practical characteristics for vehicle driving. On the other hand, chassis dynamometer test is able to differentiate characteristics of real driving patterns due to the reason that vehicles can be examined by utilizing chassis dynamometer. This study aimed at comparing the characteristic of emitting regulatory substances of urban buses on Heavy-duty chassis dynamometer. The characteristic was analyzed based on vehicle speed by using both domestic and overseas developed heavy-duty vehicle test modes. As a result, this work attempted to investigate possibilities to take advantage of Heavy-duty vehicle test modes as a method to manage emissions from heavy-duty vehicles.

친환경 교통운영전략을 위한 차량 연료소모량 예측모형 평가 (Evaluation of Fuel Consumption Models for Eco-friendly Traffic Operations Strategies)

  • 교통운영전략의 친환경성 평가의 필요성이 대두되고 있는 가운데, 정확한 평가를 위해서는 분석에 사용되는 차량연료소모 예측모형에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 국내에서 사용되고 있는 3개 모형과 외국에서 사용되고 있는 모형들 중 광범위하게 사용되는 동시에 비교적 취득이 용이한 3개 모형을 선정하여 모형의 특성을 응용측면에서 비교하였다. 구체적으로, 국립환경연구원의 차량주행기록인 NIER 차속모드와 미시교통류시뮬레이션 소프트웨어인 VISSIM을 이용하여 차량의 운행패턴을 모델링하였으며, 이를 차량연료소모 예측모형에 입력하여 연료소모량을 예측하였다. 본 연구를 통해 정속주행의 경우 국내외의 모든 모형이 유사한 결과를 보이는 것으로 분석되었으나, NIER 차속모드와 VISSIM 모형을 이용한 분석결과 국내모형 중 KR-1, KR-2 모형은 순간적인 차량의 비출력에 민감하지 못하여 미시적인 분석을 요하는 경우에는 사용에 주의를 기울여야 하는 것으로 분석되었다.

주행조건에 따른 유로6 경유자동차의 RDE 특성 (RDE Characteristics of Euro 6 Light Duty Diesel Vehicles Regarding to Driving Conditions)

  • In order to improve the quality of air in urban areas, the emission regulations are being strengthened by the government. The on-road test of light-duty vehicles was started with PEMS because certification test mode does not sufficiently reflect on-road conditions. Therefore, The PEMS-based test was implemented from Sep. 2017 in Europe and Korea. However, this is lack of data on various on-road patterns in Korea. The purpose of the present study has analyzed the effect of speed per acceleration and acceleration on NOx emission on-road driving. The test route consisted of urban, rural, and motorway in Seoul. This study has been conducted by Euro-6 vehicles using on SCR system with PEMS. The on-road emission characteristics were evaluated by moving averaging windows (MAW) method. In results, RDE-NOx by severe driving pattern has been 1.4 times higher than soft driving pattern NIER Route 1.

중형트럭에서 발생하는 배출가스 중 미량유해물질 발생 특성 연구 (A Study on the MSATs (Mobile source Air Toxics) Contribution from MDTs (Medium-duty Trucks) Exhaust Emission)

  • In Korea, Medium-duty trucks are classified into GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) 3.5~10tons. MDTs are mostly used for logistics or delivery between regions. There have been studied on diesel fuel vehicles for SUVs(Sports Utility Vehicle) or light-duty trucks. But MDTs have been not studied. Therefore, this study have been used MDTs for characteristic exhaust emission. Test was carried out using the certification test mode (NEDC, New European Driving cycle) and the NIER mode in chassis dynamometer of the MDTs. And emission gas was analyzed for PN (Particulate Number), PN size distribution and aldehydes, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). This paper concluded that EURO-IV trucks produced more MSATs than EURO V trucks. Depending on the engine temperature, more MSATs were generated in cold temperature than in the hot start operation. However, the driving speed, the opposite results was obtained.

중형저상버스의 개별주행모드에 따른 연료소비율 평가 (Evaluation of the Impact of Fuel Economy by Each of Driving Modes for Medium-Size Low-Floor Bus)

  • 국토교통부에서는 교통약자의 이동 편의 증진을 위하여 승하차에 편리한 저상버스를 도입하였다. 표준모델로 고시된 저상버스는 11 m 급, 압축천연가스(CNG, Compressed Natural Gas)를 사용하는 차량으로 개발되었다. 11 m 급 저상버스는 길이 좁은 농어촌 및 산간지역 도로여건에서의 운행과, CNG 연료의 특성상 충전시설의 한계로 인하여 연료보급의 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국토교통부에서 교통약자의 이동편의 증진을 위해 진행하는 중형저상버스 표준모델 기술개발 과제의 일환으로 (주)타타대우상용차에서 제작한 LF-40을 대상으로 공차(CVW, Curb Vehicle Weight), 반적차(HVW, Half Vehicle Weight), 적차(GVW, Gross Vehicle Weight) 3가지 중량조건으로 실도로 타행주행을 통하여 주행저항 값을 취득하였고, WHVC, NIER-06, 복합 에너지 소비효율 측정 대상차량 외 차량의 에너지 소비 효율을 측정하기 위한 시험 방법인 정속주행 (60 km/h)모드를 사용하였다. 시험 결과 공차상태의 연비가 가장 좋았으며, 대표적으로 WHVC 모드에서는 공차대비 반적차는 3.5 %, 공차대비 적차는 12 % 연비소모율의 차이를 보였다. 60 km/h 정속 주행모드에서는 다른 시험모드와 다르게 공차보다 반적차의 연비가 높은 것으로 측정되었다. 추후 배출가스 데이터의 분석이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

배출허용기준 및 주행모드에 따른 중형화물차의 대기오염물질 배출특성 (A Study on Exhaust Emission Characteristics of Medium-Duty Trucks according to Emission Standards and Driving Modes)

  • NOx, PN and CO emissions from diesel trucks make up a significant portion of domestic air pollutant emissions. Therefore, test vehicles with various emission standards and driving modes were selected to evaluate the emission characteristics of regulated pollutants (NOx, PN, CO) in medium-duty trucks. As a result of test, all test vehicles were satisfied with Euro 5 or 6 regulation. NOx emissions of Euro 6 vehicles with after-treatment of LNT + DPF were lower than those of Euro 5 vehicles with DPF. In WLTC mode, all vehicles have high NOx emissions at section of extra high speeds, which are determined by increased fuel consumption and high combustion temperatures. CO and PN emissions from all vehicles were found to be low at section of low speeds. Also, The NO2/NOx ratio was analyzed at 7-23% in each mode, and the NO2/NOx ratio increased as the average vehicle speed increased. In NIER 9 mode, the CO, HC, and PN emissions were higher under cold conditions of engine than hot conditions of engine. In addition, vehicles with after-treatment system of LNT have similar NOx emissions level in this study.

차량인증모드와 실도로 주행모드별 국내 경유 소형화물 자동차의 온실가스 배출특성 분석 (A Study of Greenhouse Gas Emission Rates from LDTs according to Emission Certification Modes and Real-World Vehicle Driving Cycles in Korea)

  • 자동차 분야는 온실가스 배출량의 상당 부분을 차지하는 주요 배출원으로써, 우리나라는 온실가스 저감을 위하여 2020년까지 교통부문에서는 BAU 대비 34.3%를 감축하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 목표달성을 위하여 2012년부터 자동차 온실가스 배출기준을 적용하고 있으며, 차기 온실가스 배출기준을 마련하는데 있어 소형 화물차량에 대한 대상차종 포함 여부가 검토되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 경유 소형화물 자동차를 대상으로 주행모드에 따른 온실가스 배출특성을 분석하였다. 차속모드인 NIER 모드를 이용하여 분석한 결과, 자동차 온실가스 배출량은 차속이 증가할수록 감소하는 반비례 경향을 나타내었으며, $CO_2$의 경우 일정차속(65.4 km/h) 이상의 고속구간에서는 배출량이 증가하였다. 자동차 주행거리에 따른 온실가스 배출량 증가는 나타나지 않았으며, 각국의 온실가스 배출량 측정모드를 적용한 결과, 유럽에서 적용하고 있는 NEDC 모드에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한, 복합모드 시험 시 $CO_2$ 배출이 CVS-75 모드에 비하여 8% NEDC 모드에 비하여 14% 적게 나타났다.
