With increasing interest and research on smart cities, there is also an increasing number of studies on urban facilities that can be built within smart cities. According to these studies, smart cities' urban facilities are likely to become high value-added industries. However, the concept of smart city is not clear because it involves various fields. Therefore, in this study, the definition of Next-Generation(N.G) Smart City Facilities with Digital Twin and Digital Chain is carried out through a multidisciplinary approach. Based on this, Next-Generation Smart City Facilities will be divided into High Value-Added Products and Big Data Platforms. Subsequently, the definition of the Digital Chain containing the data flow of the entire process built through the construction of the Digital Twin proceeds. The definitions derived are applied to the Next-Generation Noise Barrier Tunnel to ensure that data is exchanged at the Digital Twin stage, and to review the proposed configuration of the Digital Chain and Data Flow in this study. The platform definition and Digital Chain of Next-Generation Smart City Facilities proposed in this study suggest that it can affect not only the aspects of data management that are currently in the spotlight, but also the manufacturing industry as a whole.
The new materials such as graphene and other nano scale structured materials are attracting great attention due to its expandability for the future electronic devices. In this presentation, a variety of analysis techniques will be introduced for the latest new material applications such as graphene and organic materials with number of metals. The basic properties of next generation device should be carefully analyzed without being exposed to ambient surrounding since the physical and chemical properties of new material or interface states are easily and drastically changed by ambient condition. With the combination of the fabrication process and precise analysis instruments, it is expected to set the facilities supporting the nanotechnology industry and other research groups. This system will give strong support nanotechnology and other complex science with qualified data and information on basic knowledge on the new-forthcoming materials for the future.
Microbial pathogens are responsible for most of the rapidly-spreading deadly infectious diseases against humans. Thus, there is an urgent need for efficient and rapid detection methods for infectious microorganisms. The detection methods should not only be targeted and specific, but they have to be encompassing of potential changes of the pathogen as it evolves and mutates quickly during an epidemic or pandemic. The existing diagnostics such as the antibody-based ELISA immunoassay and PCR methods are too selective and narrowly focused; they are insufficient to capture newly evolved mutant strains of the pathogen. Here, we introduce a fresh perspective on some new technologies, including aptamers and next generation sequencing for pathogen detection. These technologies are not in their infancy; they are reasonably mature and ready, and they hold great promise for unparalleled applications in pathogen detection.

Predicting the future is at once both an opportunity and a challenge. Predicting what changes will take place in the poultry industry over the next century is certainly an opportunity to review the past and use this as a means of predicting the future. As the poultry industry became commercialized only during the last 50 to 60 years. the developments that will take place in the next 50 years will no doubt be phenomenal. (omitted)

The NGAP and TRAINAIR PLUS programme goal is to improve the safety and efficiency of air transport through the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of high standards of training and competency of aviation personnel on a world-wide basis and in a cost-effective manner. According to the trend, the approval of training organization must be change. In this study, personnel training system and certification mechanism were studied.

The specific and sensitive nested-PCR method to detect Acidovorax citrulli, a causal agent of bacterial fruit blotch on cucurbitaceae, was developed. PCR primers were designed from the draft genome sequence which was obtained with the Next Generation Sequencing of A. citrulli KACC10651, and the nested-PCR primer set (Ac-ORF 21F/Ac-ORF 21R) were selected by checking of specificity to A. citrulli with PCR assays. The selected nested-PCR primer amplified the 140 bp DNA only from A. citrulli strains, and detection sensitivity of the nested PCR increased 10,000 times of $1^{st}$ PCR detection limit (10 ng genomic DNA/PCR). The nested PCR detected A. citrulli from the all samples of seed surface wash (external seed detection) of the artificially inoculated watermelon seeds with $10^1cfu/ml$ and above population of A. citrulli while the nested PCR could not detected A. citrulli from the mashed seed suspension (internal seed detection) of the all artificially inoculated watermelon seeds. When the naturally infested watermelon seeds (10% seed infested rate with grow-out test) used, the nested PCR detected A. citrulli from 2 seed samples out of 10 replication samples externally and 5 seed samples out of 10 replication samples internally. We believe that the nested-PCR developed in this study will be useful method to detect A. citrulli from the Cucurbitaceae seeds.
As a general rule for evaluating dependability of a system, reliability is commonly considered which barely rays attention to the system behavior, however the estimation is based on the assumption of a fault-frost system, which may be impracticable and inaccurate especially for complicated system. This paper introduces a security and dependability integrated approach to analyze the availability of a fault-active system both from dependability and security points of view. Two fault modes involved are discussed about the impairment to the system reliance. The approach can be well applied to estimate and quantify the attribute of system robustness with the help of Markov chain process, which is good at solving status related problem. The comparison result between dual system and IEC61850-based almighty backup system is shown to sup-port the suggested approach.

This study examined the possibility of utilizing next-generation technology, such as Virtual Reality or AI robots, in the long-term care facilities for the elderly. For the study, the Focus Group Interview was conducted in three different groups of 14 participants (care workers, social workers, and directors of long-term care facilities for the elderly). The analysis revealed a total of three topics, eight categories, and 26 sub-categories. The main results of the study showed that the use of next-generation technology could assist the psychological and emotional stability, provide curiosity and interest, and relieve the desire for physical activity for the elderly. In addition, for long-term care services staff, it could provide useful services for the elderly with physical constraints, facilitate effective management of the elderly roaming around, and enhance emotional support services. Finally, it could also help directors of long-term care facilities promote their services, educate staff, and keep up with current trends. Participants expressed concerns about the introduction of new technologies, but they generally expected that the application of next-generation technology would be positive for the elderly as well as for care workers and directors of long-term care facilities. Therefore, the use of next-generation technology in long-term care facilities for the elderly will also help develop gerontechnology.
