The optimal mixing condition of four components gas(Ne,Xe,He,Ar) in PDPs was caculated by a numerical simulation method. The dominated reactions in which $Xe^*(^3P_1)$ is produced and decays were investigated in three components gas (Ne,Xe,He) and our new components gas (Ne,Xe,He,Ar). A peak point of $Xe^*$ density appears in the range of 0.1% to 2% of Ar mixture ratio. The results of simulation show that the direct exitation of Xe by electrons has the greatest influence on the inceasing $Xe^*$ density in both gas mixtures.

A simple digital control system has been developed for the frequency stabilization of an internal mirror He-Ne laser. The system is based on one chip microprocessor with embedded Basic interpreter. To stabilize the laser output frequency, the signal such as power difference or beat frequency between two modes is supplied and processed by a microprocessor, and control signal is fed to the heating coil would round the laser tube for adjusting the spacing of the laser cavity mirror. Newly developed frequency stabilization system is totally digitized. The system and the frequency stability performance are briefly described.

We examined ($He_x-Ne_{l-x}$)-Xe gas discharge in an AC PDP cell by computer simulation to understand the gas mixing effects. The breakdown and sustain voltage were significantly lowered with the addition of Ne into He-Xe. The luminance and efficiency in ($He_x-Ne_{l-x}$)-Xe also improved when compared with the He-Xe or Ne-Xe gas mixture. The luminance is maximum around $30{\sim}40%$ He addition, while the efficiency shows peak values at 70% He. Two-dimensional numerical simulation was done to explain these results.

The electron transport coefficients, the electron drift velocity W, the longitudinal diffusion coefficient $ND_L$ and $D_L/{\mu}$, in pure Ne were calculated over the wide E/N range from 0.01 to 300 Td at 1 Torr by two-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation for determination of electron collision cross sections set and for quantitative characteristic analysis of Ne molecular gas.

Nash Equilibrium (NE) is essential to investigate a participant's bidding strategy in a competitive electricity market. The transmission line constraints make it difficult to compute the NE due to causing a mixed strategy NE instead of a pure strategy NE. Computing a mixed strategy is more complicated in a multi-player game. The competition among multi-participants is modeled by a two-level hierarchical optimization problem. A mathematical programming approach is widely used in finding this equilibrium. However, there are difficulties to solving a mixed strategy NE. This paper presents two propositions to add heuristics to the mathematical programming method. The propositions are based on empirical studies on mixed strategies in numerous sample systems. Based on the propositions a new formulation is provided with a set of linear and nonlinear equations, and an algorithm is suggested for using the prepositions and the newly-formulated equations.

21세기는 정보화 시대로써 인터넷을 기반이 산업과 가정기기의 시설이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 아직까지 인터넷 기반의 시설이 많지는 않지만 곧 '유비궈터스 네트워크 사회'로 접어들기 시작하면 가정과 산업현장에서는 언제, 어디서라도 기기와 연결되는 것으로, 시간의 제약에서 벗어나 인간은 보다 풍요로운 생활의 실현을 가능하게 할 것이다. 또한 산업 현장에서는 실시간으로 관리기기의 상태를 파악하고, 데이터를 수집을 현장에 없어도 인터넷으로 할 수 있다. 장시간 산업 현장을 비우더라도 인터넷을 이용하여 산업 현장에서 일하는 것과 같은 현상을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 MC9S12NE64를 이용하여서 소형의 웹서버를 구축하였다. 인터넷 웹 브라우저를 이용한 원격제어를 위해서는 MC9S12NE64를 서버로 이용하고 PC의 웹서버를 클라이언트로 사용하였다. 클라이언트인 PC에서 인터넷 웹브라우저를 이용하여 서버인 MC9S12NE64로 접근을 하여 I/O 포트를 제어하였다.

무선 인터넷 사용자의 증가와 함께 호스트의 이동성 뿐 아니라 모바일 네트워크의 이동성의 관리도 중요한 이슈로 부각하게 되었다. 그러나 현재의 모바일 IP는 실질적인 통신과 상관없이 새로운 네트워크로 이동할 때마다 홈에이전트와 대응노드로 호스트의 위치를 저장하여야 한다. 이것은 불필요한 트래픽을 생성할 뿐 아니라, 모바일 네트워크 환경에서는 네트워크의 부하를 낳을 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 NeMoS 상태 테이블을 통해 실질적인 트래픽이 있을 경우에만 홈에이전트와 대응노드로 업데이트가 이루어지는 NeMoS 메커니즘을 제안한다. NeMoS를 통해 불필요한 위치저장 신호를 줄임으로써 효과적인 이동성 관리 방식을 제시할 것이다.

The improvement of luminance and luminous efficiency is the one of the most important part in AC-PDPs. To achieve high luminance and luminous efficiency, high VUV emission efficiency is needed. We measured the emission spectra of vacuum ultraviolet(VUV) rays in surface discharge AC-PDP with binary and ternary gas mixtures of Ne-Xe and He-Ne-Xe. The influence of He-Ne-Xe gas-mixture ratio on excited $Xe^{\ast}$ resonant atoms and $Xe_2$$^{\ast}$ dimers has been investigated. It is found that luminous efficiency of ternary gas mixture, He-Ne-Xe, is shown to be much higher than that of binary gas mixture of Ne-Xe.

This study was investigated the effects of the lower power He-Ne IR laser treatment on the changes of blood biochemical components in the rat liver damaged by the carbon tetrachloride (CCl₄). The twenty one Sprague-Dawley adult male rats weights (260±18.6 g) were designed to the three groups: one control group and two experimental groups, the experimental groups were divided into the CCl₄-treated groups and the laser therapy group (CCl₄+ Laser). The experimental groups were injected twice with CCl₄(1.0 ml/kg body weight) intraperitoneal for two days. Each group was sacrificed after two weeks irradiated with the lower power He-Ne IR laser for ten minutes per every day. The activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and the concentration of serum glucose treated with He-Ne IR laser groups was significantly decreased to the conrtol (treated with carbon CCl₄) group. The activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) was decreased in the laser group but not significantly, the concentration of the serum cholesterol in the laser group was significantly increased comparing with the control and case control groups. In conclusion, the effect of the lower power He-Ne IR laser treatment is believed to be a possible protective effects for CCl₄ induced acute hepatotoxicity in rats.
