A Study on Data Remote Control of DNC Network (DNC Network을 통한 Data Remote Control에 관한 연구)

  • At present, some evolutional system has been used to promote the efficiency of the DNC(Direct Numerical Control) Controller. However, these are many inconvenience to this operator because it lacks harmony in interaction between the computer and the NC(Numerical Control). Also, there are some controversial poults when data error occurs at the Data Input/output. According1y, this thesis explores a new Data Remote Control System. In this study, the NC Controller of the DNC network has to Bet full data by removing data error in this system. In this system, the main merits are easy manufacturing and the convenience of Data Input/output. That is, remote control of the NC machine tool is possible without mutual interaction between the computer and itself.

A Study on Improvement of Accuracy of Positioning Induced Thermal Deformation of the Ball Screw in CNC Lathe (CNC 선반에서 볼 나사 열변형에 따른 위치결정 정도 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Thermal expansion of the ball screw can directly affect the accuracy of positioning along the travel axis in the semi-closed loop type CNC Lathe. In this paper, use of MACRO variables can make the thermal displacement of the ball screw estimated. Also, the estimated displacements of the ball screw are controlled by calculating the interval of pitch error rate in the Numerical Control(NC). Under the constant operating conditions, the thermal expansion of the ball screw was measured to confirm the effectiveness of the compensation method in the CNC Lathe. By using this method the results show that the thermal displacement of the ball screw could be reduced to 20% compared with ordinary method.

  • The pupose of this study is the development of CAM system which can cut any shape by CNC lathe.. The overall goal of the CAM system is to achieve the CNC lathe machining, form roughing through to final measuring. The hardware of the system comprises PC and CNC lathe. There are three steps in the CNC lathe machining, (1) geometric modeling by the shape patterns, (2) NC commands generation by the tool path compensated for tool nose radius,(3) machining and workpiece measuring on the lathe. It is developed a software package, with which can conduct a micro CAM system in the PC without economical burden.

  • This study introduces a recently designed desktop-sized NC turning system and its components. This machine is designed for the ultra-precise turning of parts with a diameter of 0.5-20 mm with minimum space usage for the machine. This study aims to achieve submicron-level accuracy of movements and good rigidity of the machine for precision machining using the desktop-sized machine. The components such as the main machine structure, air bearing servo spindle, and XZ stage with needle roller guides are designed, and the designed machine is built with a PC-based CNC controller. Its static and dynamic stiffness performances and positioning resolutions are tested. Through machining tests with single-crystal diamond tools, a form error less than $0.8{\mu}m$ and surface roughness (Ra) of $0.03{\mu}m$ for workpieces are obtained.

  • This paper proposes a Expert CAPP System for integrating CAD/CAM of rotational work-part by rule based approach. The CAD/CAPP integration is performed by the recognition of machined features from the 2-D CAD data (IGES) file. Selecting functions of the process planning are performed in modularized rule base by forward chaining inference, and operation sequences are determined by means of heuristic search algorithm. For CAPP/CAM integration, post-processor generates NC code from route sheet file. This system coded in OPS5 and C language on PC/AT, and EMCO CNC lathe interfaced with PC through DNC and RS-232C.

선삭공정의 작업준비계획의 자동화

  • 본 연구는 선삭공정에서 CAD 인터페이스된 자동공정계획시스템개발에 관한 연구의 계속으로 작업준비계획(Setup Planning)을 자동적으로 수행하는 기법을 개발함이 주된 목적이다. 연구의 대상은 기계가공부품들 중 많은 비중을 차지하는 NC선반가공용 회전형상부품을 대상으로 하였다. 연구의 내용은 공작물고정방법의 결정, 작업준비횟수의 결정, 클램핑(Clamping)면 및 공작물고정구의 선정에 관한 기법과 알고리즘을 개발하였으며, 소프트웨어는 개인용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 Turbo-C(Version 2.0)를 사용하여 개발하였고, 사례연구를 통하여 개발된 시스템의 유효성을 평가하였다.

  • 기계 가공 분야에 있어서의 자동화 기술은 단독장비의 NC화에 힘입어 급격히 진전 되고 있다. 대부분의 공작기계들의 NC화율이 크게 증가하고 있으며 ('89년의 경우 우리나라 공작기계의 NC화율은 41.6%, 일본의 경우 70%) 사회, 경제적 환경의 변 화에 의해 합리적인 수준에서의 자동화를 추진하고자하는 요구가 많아지고있다. CNC 선반 및 머시닝센터의 현실적으로 현재의 기술로 가능한 CELL MACHINE을 이용 한 자동화에서 적용이 되는 기술에 대해 설명하고 그 효과적 운영을 위한 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

  • This paper describes a development of conversational program for lathe. The proposed program is a NC programming system specialized for use in machine tool controls. Its easy to use graphic interface built-in database capabilities make it an ideal way to program part on the shop floor. In order to manage effectively machining process it proposed the algorithm of tree structures for design processing. Also using interative structure it proposed the methods of conversational programming to generate automatically NC program.

자동 선삭 계획 시스템 개발에 관한 연구

  • 가장 대표적인 공작기계인 선반은 가공물에대한 바이트의 이송운동에따라 여러가지 종류의 가공물을 효과적으로 절삭할 수 있기 때문에 절삭 가공에 널리사용된다. 특히, 기계요소로 많이 사용되는 회전체의 절삭에 필요하므로 가장 먼저자동화가 요구되는 분야이다. 그러므로, 보다 효율적인 자동절삭의 목표를 달성하기위한 기초작업으로서 현재의 연구가 수행되었다. 본 연구에서 PC 사용을 전제로 소수의 입력 정보로부터 자동으로 최적의 가공계획 수립을 위한 프로그램의 개발을 목표로 먼저 준비단계로 임의의 외경절삭용 자동 가공계획 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 작업자의 자료입력을 최소화 했으며 이 입력자료를 토대로 자동으로 절삭공구의 가공경로 및 절삭에 필요한 자료를 생성하고 가공 전과정을 컴퓨터 그래픽으로 처리하여 사용자의 이해 를 돕도록 하였다. 이러한 기능은 컴퓨터 기억장치를 통하여 저장하고 그장된 자료를 NC code화 하거나 직접 PC로 부터 NC 기계를 구동하면 가공에 관하여 극히 초보자인 경우도 실제 가공을 수 행할 수 있다. 참고로 본 프로그램은 개인용 컴퓨터에서 사용을 전제로 프로그램언어는 Fortran, 그래픽 Library로 Halo를 이용하였고사용자의 이해를 보다 높이기 위하여 EGA Color Monitor를 채택하였다.

A Study on Noise and Vibration Reduction of an NC Lathe Gear Box (NC 선반 기어박스의 소음.진동 저감에 관한 연구)

  • When operating NC lathe, gear box which is equipped with gear train and spindle sometimes generates loud noise and excessive vibrations. In order to identify their causes, In this study, torsional and lateral vibration characteristics including critical speeds of the gear train-spindle system are first analyzed by using torsional and lateral vibration models of the gear train and shafts. Natural frequencies and modes of the gear box structure are also analyzed by impulse hammer test. Furthermore, measured vibration and noise signals are analyzed and compared with theoretical analysis results. At last it is concluded that the cause of the excessive mise and vibration is the resonance between gear meshing frequency including its side bands, shaft bending and torsional vibration frequencies, and the natural frequencies of th gear box structure. Consequently the noise and vibration levels are greatly reduced by avoiding resonance between them through the redesign of the gear module.
