A Study on Design and Implementation of Hangul-NAVTEX Simulator (한글 NAVTEX시뮬레이터 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • NAVTEX system is an international automated direct-printing service, broadcast on 5181kHz and 490kHz, for the promulgation of navigational and meteorological warnings and urgent information to ships. With our government's adoption of the international convention for SAR(Search and Rescue) in 1993, various trials for the installation of NAVTEX system have been executed by the government committee, relating laboratory and experts. An important consideration of the installation for NAVTEX system is the availability that could broadcast messages written in korean letter. Also, the receiver which can process the signal demodulated from the two frequencies, 518kHz and 490kHz, should be developed and supplied in domestic. In this paper, the code table and algorithm for conversions between NAVTEX characters and Korean Letters are studied, and signal processing techniques of code conversion are developed. Circuit design and implementation of the NAVTEX simulator using the Direct Digital Synthesizer are discussed, code conversion algorithm and signal processing technique of the NAVTEX transmission are programmed in its circuits. For evaluating the its functional characteristics, receiving module which has I-Q channel structure is designed. From the measurements of simulator, the characteristics show the frequency stability of the $(\pm)2Hz$ and Spurious free dynamic range is -63dBc. And the simulator can generate simultaneously wanted signal and several interfere signals. So, its capability is valuable for designers of the transmitting system and NAVTEX receiver, for provider as testing facilities of the type approval.

선박에서의 Navtex사용에 대한 실태 조사 및 나아갈 방향에 대한 초안마련

  • 연안항해에 있어 중요한 항해정보를 제공해주는 Navtex가 다량의 정보수신, 중복 정보의 수신, 항해에 불필요한 정보의 수신등으로 인해서 실제로는 항해사들의 업무과중을 초래하고 있고 사용자들이 그 실효성에 대해서는 의문을 제기하고 있으며 실제 항해에 중요한 정보를 간과하는 결과를 초래하기도 한다. 본 연구는 실무에서 Navtex를 사용하는 항해사들을 대상으로 실제 현황을 분석하고 안전항해를 위한 효율적인 Navtex사용에 대한 방향 및 제도개선의 초안을 마련하는데 그 의의가 있다.

  • 한자는 복잡한 상형문자로서 표음문자와 비교하여 볼 때, 문자의 처리, 프로그램의 작성 및 전송에 있어서 많은 차이점이 있다. 지금까지 NAVTEX 프로그램중 한자 전송의 핵심적인 기술을 해결하지 못하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 NAVTEX 프로그램중 한자처리 방법을 모색을 하고자 하였으며, 이러한 프로그램을 이용하면 NAVTEX단말기에서 바로 한자를 인쇄할 수 있게 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • According to growing the leisure boat market, safety-related and weather information have been required by different users with different electronic devices. NAVTEX messages transmitting worldwide from local stations are a kind of useful service, even for non mandatory carriage requirement vessel, such as small or fishing vessels. However, it is not easy for all users to recognize intuitively. This paper is to implement the NAVTEX message on tablet PC, indicating warning positions of message on Android-based google map.

  • 한자는 복잡한 상형문자로서 자모문자와 비교하여 볼 때, 문자의 처리, 프로그램의 작성 및 전송에 있어서 많은 차이점이 있다. 지금까지 NAVTEX프로그램중 한자 전송의 관건적인 기술을 해결하지 못하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 NAVTEX프로그램중의 한자처리 방법을 모색 하고자 하였으며, 이러한 프로그램을 이용하면 NAVTEX 단말기에서 바로 한자를 인쇄할 수 있게 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • As MSI(Maritime Safety Information), navigational, meteorological warnings and forecasts, was included as one of service in the MSP(Maritime Service Portfolio), which is lists of shore based service in the e-Navigation driven by IMO for safety navigation and marine protection, and was tested in the european test bed project on e-Navigation, it's considered as one of important e-Navigation service. This paper developed a prototype of MSI service to prepare e-navigation era, which is very important in a navigation environment. Current status on MSI and NAVTEX was surveyed, and several points on limitations and improvements in the NAVTEX operations were summarized. Basic study on the MSI service prototype was developed based on S-100, which is recognized as baseline to develop CMDS(Common Maritime Data Structure) of e-Navigation.

Design of a Narrow Band Pass Filter with Crystal Oscillator for NAVTEX Receivers (수정발진자를 이용한 NAVTEX 수신기용 협대역 여파기 설계)

  • This paper evaluate the performance using a simulated 490KHz narrow band filter based on characteristic parameters appropriately extracted from 490KHz band-pass filter after considering each characteristic, which is modeled on equivalent circuit and applied to NAVTEX receiver using crystal oscillator. The evaluation results show that the value of a series capacitor of crystal oscillator has only little capacity by Cs=21.094fF and the bandwidth characteristics of filter go worse as the capacity value of crystal oscillator grow increase. Moreover, the series inductance value of crystal oscillator has a relatively big value by L=5H, therefore the bandwidth characteristic according as inductance's capacity shows more little effect than the capacity.

한국 NAVTEX 시스템 정비 배경 및 목적

  • 한국연안 NAVTEX서어비스를 하기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. EEX가 미정인 현실을 감안하여 서비스범위를 평화선내 전 구역으로 하였다. 해양수산부내에 운영실을 두고 , 무인으로 운영되는 동해안 송신소(죽변등대부지), 서해안 송신소(전북부안군 변산면 도청리)를 원격 감시운영하는 방안을 제안하였고, 안테나는 50m급 지선식철탑안테나이며 상부지선 일부를 정관으로 활용하고 접지선은 36본의 100m 급 래디알어어스를 제안하였다. 국문방송도 기존 시설을 겸용하여 방송하기로 하고 ITA No.2코드와 호환가능한 한글 NBDP코드를 제안하였다. 운영국 및 송신국의 시스템 구성과 장비규격, 통신회선등을 전부 제안하였다.
