부벽루중수기와 같은 활자 인본들 -반'취진자'론- (Bubyeogru-junsugi and the books printed with the same type font -Anti-Chwijinja font-)

  • In this study, I have tried to examine the movable type font called 'Chwijinja' (聚珍字) as hitherto and the book printed in Chwijinia for the first time. In order to illustrate the orgin of it more clearly, I introduced Bubyeogru-jungsugi(浮碧樓重修記.) which has been believed the first printed edition of this book and also some other books printed in the same movable type font. By the way, I introduced some views of other bibliographers on Chwijinja. I refuted the views that Chwijinja is metal type and then I substantiated it is wooden type. I also presented three hypotheses on the formation of Chwijinja. I described the reason why we had better change the name of that printing type into 'Bang-Chwijin-pansig Pilseoche Wooden Type'(倣聚珍版式筆書木活字) on the basis of that its name is common noun. I also explained about 'Yeonmu Wooden Type'(燕貿木(唐)字, Wooden Type font imported from China) which is relevant to my description.

  • 지식사회에서 주요자원은 지식이 되며 이러한 지식을 관리하는 도서관의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 기하급수적으로 증가하는 지식정보들 중 조직구성원들이 필요하고 유용한 지식만을 선택하여 이용자의 취향에 맞는 형태로 제공할 수 있는 지식정보관리가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 기존의 도서관 정보봉사에서 나타나는 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 도서관이 수행해야 할 역할 및 기능들을 Help-Desk 서비스 측면에서 온라인과 오프라인으로 구성요인들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 웹기반 Help-Desk 지식관리 시스템 모형을 제시하였다.

토픽모델링을 이용한 비대면 신문 기사 키워드 분석 (Non face-to-face News Articles Keyword Using Topic Modeling)

  • The news articles collected with keyword "non face-to-face" were analyzed through topic modeling applied with LDA algorithm. In this study, collected articles were divided into two periods, period 1(the beginning of COVID-19 spread) and period 2(the end of COVID-19 spread), according to issued date of the articles. The articles of period 1 showed support for non-face-to-face treatment, smart library, the beginning of the online financial era, non-face-to-face entrance exam and employment, stock investment for main topic words. And the articles of period 2 showed conversion to non face-to-face classes, increasing unmanned stores, online finance, education industry, home treatment for main topic words. Also, further issues were discussed through visualization of topic words. These results provide evidence that education and unmanned business in non-face-to-face industries are growing.

한국에 있어서 사서실습교육의 실태 조사연구 (A Research on the Actual Conditions of Library Practice Education in Korea)

  • 1. Library practice education in Korea is in the form of field experience, that is, Practicum, which is one type of field experience. 2. The practicum is a short-term work experience guided by the academic institutions. (2 to 6 weeks of full time employment in a library, or one to two semesters of approximately 10 to 12 hours weekly) 3. Field work is largely accepted as a required subject. 4. Field work is usually carried out during the first semester of senior year. (or of sophomore year in junior college) 5. Libraries in other universities (or in other institutions) can beused for a student's field work. But the current tendency is to use his or her own university's library. 6. Most universities give one credit for 2 weeks' field work. 7. The method of evaluation is strict: A or 'excellent' (above 90), B or 'good' (above 80), C or 'fair' (above 70), D or 'bad' (above 60). 8. The expense of field work is usually included in the tuition fees. However, some think that an additional fees should be collected in the case of special practice. 9. Respondents to my survey say that the field experience is necessary so that professional librarians can connect theory and practice. 10. They also indicate that there are some problems in library practice education: administrative difficulties in the department chairman's office, the burden on professors in the library being used, and the limited number of libraries in which the field work is practicable. 11. The Department of Library Science is responsible primarily for providing faculty supervision over the students, and secondarily for the preparation of evaluation cards and field work reports. 12. Most of the faculty respondents use evaluation cards for the field work, some of which serve as grade sheets, some as field work diaries, and some as field work reports.

일본 도도부현립 도서관의 공간 구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Space Planning of the Regional Central Library in Japan)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국의 지역대표도서관과 비슷한 위계에서 유사한 기능을 수행하는 일본의 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관의 상호협력체계 분석을 통하여, 국내의 지역대표도서관 건립의 기초 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 연구를 위해 일본 문부과학성이 선정한 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관 우수 선진 사례 도서관 8개 관을 방문하여 상호협력 체계와 상호협력서비스 현황을 분석하고, 그 중 5개 관을 선정하여 도면분석을 통한 공간구성 분석을 진행하였다. 그 결과 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관은 일본의 지역대표도서관으로서 역할과 기능을 정확하게 인지하고 전국구 단위에서 국립 국회도서관뿐만 아니라 인근의 지역대표도서관과도 상호협력을 시행하며 범국가적인 상호협력체계를 형성하고 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또 공간구성에서는 도서관의 역할에 따라 사무영역과 지원영역의 업무관리부문의 구성비가 가장 높게 나타나는 공간 구성비를 나타내고 있었다.

NMR methods in fragment based drug discovery

  • Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, owing to its ability to provide atomic level information on molecular structure, dynamics and interaction, has become one of the most powerful methods in early drug discovery where hit finding and hit-to-lead generation are mainly pursued. In recent years, drug discovery programs originating from the fragment-based drug discovery (FBDD) strategies have been widely incorporated into academia and industry in which a wide variety of NMR methods become an indispensable arsenal to elucidate the binding of small molecules onto bimolecular targets. In this review, I briefly describe FBDD and introduce NMR methods mainly used in FBDD campaigns of my company. In addition, quality control of fragment library and practical NMR methods in industrial aspect are discussed shortly.

통합형디지털참고봉사를 위한 기반 연구: 대학도서관을 중심으로 (A Study on the Preparation for Collaborative Digital Reference Service in Korea University Libraries)

  • 국내 대부분의 대학도서관이 디지털참고봉사를 제공하고 있지만 그 이용률은 매우 저조하다. 저조한 원인에는 주제전문 사서의 부족, 홍보부족 기타 관리자의 인식부족 둥으로 나타났다. 국내 대학도서관들의 환경에서 이러한 문제를 각 도서관 별로 해결하기는 어렵다. 이를 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 방법으로 각 도서관의 디지털참고봉사를 통합하는 방법을 제기하였다. 디지털참고봉사를 통합하기 위해서는 먼저 주제전문사서 양성, 이용자들이 인지하기 쉬운 인터페이스, 프로그램 개발, 관리기관 설립 등이 필요한데, 이 중에서도 주제전문사서의 양성이 우선적으로 준비되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 본 연구는 이용자가 필요로 하는 과학기술정보를 찾기까지 학술지 목록 데이터베이스, 학술지기사 데이터베이스, 원문 데이터베이스를 각기 개별적으로 검색하는 기존의 방식에서 벗어나 통합검색을 지원하는 학술지 원 클릭 서비스 체제를 구현하고자 수행되었다. 데이터베이스 간, 그리고 DB와 전자 저널을 통합하여 학술지 원 클릭 서비스 체제를 구현함으로써 이용자는 학술지 브라우징, 학술지 검색, 학술지 기사검색, 전자 저널 보기, Alert 서비스, My Favorite Journal및 Keyword 등록관리, 원문복사신청을 단일 인터페이스 상에서 이용할 수 있다. 이용자는 학술지 OPAC을 통하여 모든 정보원을 검색하고 학술지 원문까지 입수할 수 있다.

도서원현상을 통해 본 공공도서관 이용자에 대한 인식의 문제 (Problems in defining public library users as viewed through the 'book-room' phenomenon in Pusan)

  • This study, that is made by an on-the-spot survey and a library survey, is aimed at finding some problems in the recognition regarding public library users and suggesting the clue to solve the problems revealed in the way of having compared with 'Book-Room' and Public Library. Poor material was always a troublemaker in this study. Especially the part of 'Book-Room' phenomenon is wholly dependent upon a field survey, that is, interview with a 'book-room' clerks, gathering the advertising leaflets, a close observation on 'Book-Room', etc. There are little printed materials, much less precedent research theses. In the other parts of this paper, there are needed good statistical materials, but the nortion presented in the public library user statistics-for example pupil, students, housewives, old men, the generality of people, etc.- is so vague that it is insufficient and unhelpful for this study. In my judgment, with all these limitations, this article gets some results as follows : 1. 'Book-Room' is the cultural organization which is being operated by, for, of the community inhabitants and it takes on the character of movement - labor movement, cultural movement, and community movement. 2. The pioneer of the Book-Room is 'Yangso Hyupdong chohap' (which means good book- cooperative association) lasted from 1978 to the next year. 3. 'Arom'(means learning) Book-Room is the first real Book-Room at Seomyon district in Pusan established in 1987. 4. Book-Room can be classified by its character as 'Labor BookRoom' and 'Cultural Book-Room'. There are 10 Labor BookRooms and 4 Cultural Book-Rooms in Pusan. 5. Labor Book-Rooms organized themselves to 'Labor Book-Room conference'. 6. Book-Rooms have done their best to extort the needs and interests of the community inhabitants, but relatively public libraries do not, hence the majority of residents are neglected from the public library service. This is at Book-Rooms' back to have been spread so quickly. 7. There is a very large gap between the component ratio of community inhabitants by class and that of public library users by same criterion, that is, in the case of the former, the labor class goes beyond a half point, in the latter, the majority of public library user is composed of students and housewives. 8. Researchers and librarians have concentrated their attention and effort not upon whole residents in community but upon existing users at present time. They do not try to develope potential users. So, researchers' and librarians' recognition regarding the public library users needs to be changed. 9. The concept of 'core-user' may be the key to solve the problems related with public library users. For the purpose of ensuring the 'core-user', it is necessary to study the community and inhabitants.
