Due to the structural complexity, the response of a flexible riser under axisymmetric loads is quite difficult to determine. Based on equilibrium conditions, geometrical relations and constitutive equations, an analytical model that can accurately predict the axisymmetric behavior of flexible risers is deduced in this paper. Since the mutual exclusion between the contact pressure and interlayer gap is considered in this model, the influence of the load direction on the structural behavior can be analyzed. Meanwhile, a detailed finite element analysis for unbonded flexible risers is conducted. Based on the analytical and numerical models, the structural response of a typical flexible riser under tension, torsion, internal and outer pressure has been studied in detail. The results are compared with experimental data obtained from the literature, and good agreement is found. Studies have shown that the proposed analytical and numerical models can provide an insightful reference for analysis and design of flexible risers.

This cross-level study of 77 samples from Korean 1st-tier suppliers participating in knowledge-sharing networks examined the impact of partnering(joint establishment of goal and joint problem solving system) on supplier relationship outcomes(competativeness improvement and innovative idea suggestion). The findings showed that joint establishment of goal and joint problem solving system were positively related to both supplier's competativeness improvement and its innovative idea suggestion. Whereas, joint problem solving system did account for a significant variance only in innovative idea suggestion. The findings, further, demonstrated that mutual trust moderated the relationship between joint problem solving system and supplier relationship outcomes. Implications for theory and practice are suggested.

Purpose - This study is an effort to assess the role of behavioral biases in investment decision making, specifically for mutual funds, and the moderating role of the investor. Individual investment behavior is concerned with choices about purchasing various securities. However, behavioral finance disputes the concept of perfect rationality and identifies psychological factors and their impact on decision-making. Research design, data, and methodology - A survey questionnaire was designed and used to collect responses using a judgmental sampling technique from 290 investors in the Gwalior Region. Cronbach's Alpha, factor analysis, and linear regression were all used to test the influence of behavioral biases on investment decision. Results - We found that the behavioral biases have a positive impact on investment decisions. Conclusions - This study's results identified three factors influencing investor behavior(rationale, investment skills, and profit making) and four factors influencing investor decisions (profit maker, market analysis, investment plan, seller). The overall results of the study also show that there is no significant relationship between investor behavior and investment decisions by gender in the market.

Parenthood must be established on the basis of filial duty and charity and brothers and sisters must respect each other with fraternity and politieness. These thoughts which must be inherited today can be the best ways to keep a desirable family relationship.

Conventional adaptive speed estimators cannot avoid the influence of the non-linear inductance variation under the saturation conditions. Without speed sensors, it is difficult to identify the inductance variation using a reactive power mode because the model contains a term of the rotor speed. In this paper, we propose a novel speed estimator having hybrid architecture in order to estimate both the rotor speed and the inductance variation simultaneously when the motor flux is saturated. Proposed estimator consists of the error between the flux obtained from the stator voltage equation and the flux estimated from the rotor flux observer. Introducing a new correction term into the estimator increases the estimation ability of the conventional speed estimator even though the motor flux is saturated. The convergence of the speed estimation error is examined by simulation Furthermore, the experimental results show the validity of the proposed method.

The structures of inductive irises are used commonly in waveguide filter, especially at highter frequencyies, due to low loss and high temperature stability. However, the iris thickness can not be neglected, as it could be at the lower frequencies. Approximate models assuming zero thickness fail to predict the exact behavior of the filter. And current thickness correction is introduced which is valid in the case of thick irises only. Account of the effect of round is normally not taken. So the necessity of finding a relation for the two factors-iris thickness and round-arises in the design of waveguide filters. This paper describes a mutual relation that considers the combined effect of finite thickness and round from the start. In order to test the validity of the changed relation, weveral examples are given. And the measured response of each case is then compared with the predicted reponse. And it is shown that the radius is of perceptible influence on the transmission coefficient through a thick iris.

On the turning paradigm in the early part of the 20th century, the change of behavior patterns naturally had influence on arts based it. Also the furniture designs was formed new style by interaction between paintings and sculptures and architectures. In this study, it was focused on Art-Deco movement that was started in 1920's France and was widely developed. Besides it was found out principles and characters of this style, and was made analysis and sense of the characteristic about formative language of Art-Deco on the relation with contemporary fine art and architecture. As the result, the origin of Art-Deco is characterized by three categories : abstraction, mystery and symbolism. The Art-Deco furniture design symbolized by the desire to pursue both splendor and elegance is French style pragmatism in progress toward Modern design.

The voltage induced in the superconducting background magnet system is analyzed according to the calculation of self inductance and mutual inductance. The voltage induced by blip and compensation coils of the background magnet system is about 6.4V. In order to charge the main background magnet, the power supply must provide the minimum voltage of 1.1 kV. the compensation coils have an influence on the field distribution. The compensation coils result in the decreasing center field about 2.67%. It can remarkably decrease the ac losses and the voltage on the current leads of the background magnet.

We have investigated in detail the operating properties of Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors with a double conical and a cylindrical structure in a wide range of external fields and GEM voltages. With the double conical GEM, the gain gradually increased with time by 10%; whereas this surface charging was eliminated with the cylindrical GEM. Effective gains above 1000 were easily observed over a wide range of collection field strengths in a gas mixture of $Ar/CO_2(70/30)$. The transparency and electron collection efficiency were found to depend on the ratio of external field and the applied GEM voltage; the mutual influence of both drift and collection fields was found to be trivial.

This research investigates the strategy for application of E-Trade to SMEs to analyze the economic effect of e-trade. And the influence of the proliferation of e-business and e-trade upon the industrial business conditions, value-chain, and business activities is also analyzed. The subjects of the inquiry are the nationwide petrochemical industries in which small and medium sized companies are in mutual and intimate cooperation. The results show that the business structure of the petrochemical industries are divided into four stages, and, with the introduction of e-business, the value chain is changed by stages. And the change of value-chain explains the transition of the e-business of petrochemical industries including trade business into industrial DB and leads to a variety of the economic effect including the reduction in the trade expense, the change of the production process, and the innovation of trade structure.
