The cinema circuit is facing a digital, network, and mobile age, which expands non-theater accessibility to movies. Application platforms are situated as the most competitive business model that provide digital content such as games, music, books, and movies. Consumers can acquire content-related information not just offline, but online as well. Therefore, item information provided by application platforms is required. The information provided by application platforms consists of richly descriptive information such as storyline summary, consumer reviews, and related articles, while non-descriptive normative information covers data such as sales ranking, release date, genre, rental or purchase cost, domestic/foreign classification, consumer rating, number of consumer ratings, film rating, and so on. In this study, we surveyed and analyzed statistically the correlation between real-time sales ranking and other comparable non-descriptive information.

This study aims to identify the multidimensional variables and sub-variables and study their relative weight in music recommender systems when maximizing the rating function R. To undertake the task, a optimization formula and variables for a research model were derived from the review of prior works on recommender systems, which were then used to establish the research model for an empirical test. With the research model and the actual log data of real customers obtained from an on line music provider in Korea, multiple regression analysis was conducted to induce the optimal correlation of variables in the multidimensional model. The results showed that the correlation value against the rating function R for Items was highest, followed by Social Relations, Users and Contexts. Among sub-variables, popular music from Social Relations, genre, latest music and favourite artist from Items were high in the correlation with the rating function R. Meantime, the derived multidimensional recommender systems revealed that in a comparative analysis, it outperformed two dimensions(Users, Items) and three dimensions(Users, Items and Contexts, or Users, items and Social Relations) based recommender systems in terms of adjusted $R^2$ and the correlation of all variables against the values of the rating function R.

The music videos of and were made based on the music of Pink Floyd and Beatles. This study aims to compare the characteristics of the two songs in terms of music and storytelling method. Previous studies investigated the narrative structure and concept of the storytelling, which are the basis of the images. This study, a comparative study of the two songs, firstly analyzed the narrative structure focusing on the roles and relationships among characters in each song. Secondly, it investigated the method of composition structure and the characteristics of the two pieces of music of which genre is different from each other. Thirdly, it classified the images into intro part, development part, and conclusion part and analyzed by comparison how the song or images inserted in the music interacts with each other. As a result, it was found that described strong progressive rock from the subjective viewpoint through the material storytelling structure by space and it represents the alienation of the hero through simile and metaphor, spatial changes crossing the past and the present, and the actual and non-actual crossover directing. On the other hand, developed a narrative storytelling structure in which progressive fantasy images developed from the psychedelic viewpoint through the confrontation of the good and the bad to deliver the messages of love and peace.

Musical is produced by multiple specialists including director, writer, composer, lyricist, choreographer, music director, actors/actresses and so on. For the success of one musical, all the people with different background should demonstrate their creativities. The basic frame of a work is made by writer, composer and lyricist first unless it is a licensed musical. They are called as Creative Team, and also director, choreographer, actors/actresses and staff are called as Production Team. Both teams are collectively called as Creative Staff. Then, the secondary creative staff members may participate in the work depending on the production size, and each team can consist of the members such as music director, stage designer, sound designer and so on. The staff related to music in Creative Team of the musical is developed with the initiation from the music supervisor who decides the musical color and genre of the work, the fragmentation and the specialization. However, composer or music director takes these roles in charge in Korea. This study aims to establish the roles and concept of vocal coach according to the fragmentation of working process and to investigate their roles and needs in the domestic musical industry upon case analysis of musical production processes in overseas. The common things and differences in the roles and the functions between ordinary voice teachers and musical vocal coaches were analyzed and the cases of vocal coach in the Korean musicals were reviewed by the interviews. In addition, creative team system was reviewed in the Korean musicals.

English is a stress-timed language that has a phonetic system in which the speech is restructured by stress changes. On the other hand, Korean is a syllable-timed language in which each syllable is pronounced at almost the same length and intensity, and Korean and English have distinctly different metrical systems in general speech. However, as the language of the lyrics in K-Pop music is mixed in both languages, Korean and English, the Korean lyrics in K-Pop music have a metrical system by stress changes as in English. The writer's view is that the change in the metrical structure of Korean lyrics is inevitable in order to sustain the new Korean Wave. Therefore, in this study, dance music - a major genre of K-Pop music that focuses on rhythm expression - is classified into 1998, 2003, and 2009 according to the changes in the Korean Wave, and the metrical structure of each period is compared and analyzed. Based on this, the current K-Pop metrical structure features are derived and the K-Pop Korean writing method is proposed that deviates from the existing limited writing method which allocates one syllable per note. The author hopes this research will be used as a methodology for writing lyrics in Korean songs in K-Pop, as well as a way to encourage the use of Korean lyrics.

Shijo (Korean poetic form) is a representative literature genre of a short poem among the literary works of Korea in the late Chosen Dynasty. The format of Sijo is Normal-Shijo in the form of 3 verses, 6 sections and 12 sound, and the lyrics of one Normal-Shijo has within or without 45 words. But Saseol-sijo, a type of Sijo, there is a work that has more than 100 letters due to the number of lyrics were a lot increased. Among those Saseol-sijo there is a work with 'solemn and elegant feeling' borrowing some verses even from Chinese poem, using a lot of Chinese vocabulary, but there are a lot of works with 'salacious and explicit contents'. Literary work, Shijo, is used for lyrics of vocal music as Gagok (a genre of Korean vocal music for mixed female and male voices) and Sijochang, however, there are many cases that the same Sijo poem is used as lyrics of Gagok and Shijo. But those music that use Saseol-sijo as lyrics among Gagok, the vocal music, are mainly songs with 'solemn feeling' rather than 'salacious work'. This study looked into the reason why the Saseol-sijo with 'salacious and explicit contents' are hard to be used as lyrics in Gagok, confirming the fact that most music singing Saseol-sijo among Gagok that are being handed down till now use lyrics with 'solemn and elegant feeling'. The most important thing among those reasons seems to be irregularly increasing lyrics, and in accordance with accompaniment. Gagok accompanys a number of instruments the fixed melody recorded and delivered in score. So it's almost impossible to play unless it depends on the steadily made song melody and accompaniment melody according to the chosen lyrics in advanced. Also, appreciation of literary works is usually made privately through a private reading activity, but Gagok is conducted through public performance in an open space for many people. Especially, it would have been hard to sing a salacious and explicit song gathered together with men and women of different social status in social system and custom of the late of Chosen Dynasty. This study confirmed the fact that folksy and popular character that was praised for literary characteristic of Saseol-sijo can't be easily found from Saseol-sijo that was called Gagok.

Psy's Gangnam style in 2012 showed K-pop's potential for global growth and BTS proved it by reaching three consecutive Billboard No.1. The success in the global music market brings tremendous economical and cultural power. This study is conducted for the continuous growth of K-pop music in the global music market by analyzing the musical factor of K-pop's global success. The top 20 most-viewed K-pop MV on Youtube is chosen as a research subject because Youtube is a worldwide platform that reflects global popularity. For the process of K-pop music creation, the role of the composer is expanded and many overseas producers participate in music creation. All 20 songs are created by the collective creation system and there is a consecutive collaboration between the main producers and certain artists. The top 20 most viewed K-pop songs have the musical characteristics of transnational genre convergence, hook songs, sophisticated sounds, frequent use of English lyrics, a reflection of the latest global trends, rhythm optimized for dance and clear concept. It makes the K-pop song easily remembered and familiar to overseas listeners. K-pop's healthy and fresh theme brings emotional empathy and reflects Korean sentiments. K-pop's global success is not a coincidence, but a result of continuous efforts to advance overseas. Some critics criticize K-pop's musical style is similar and it shows K-pop's limitation but K-pop progressed its musical evolution. By keeping the merits of K-pop's success factors and complementing its weak points, K-pop will continue its popularity and increase influence in the global music market.

This paper is an analysis about Ahn, Jasan's theory of Sijo. He comprehended that Korean classical poetry is not a literary genre written in letters but a music genre sung orally, because he minutely investigated old books under the situation without preconceptions. Ahn, who had a thorough knowledge on our native music or literature, had an exact recognition about Sijo. He had analyzed existence of Sijo after commenting Sijo's true nature, whenever he discuss. His attitude was possible for his recognition like that. The first step of Ahn, Jasan's theory of Sijo is source of Sijo searched for identity of Sijo. Generic source, metrics, poetical idea, and history are written well in the paper. Establishment of Sijo's poetic identity is second step's discourse about Ahn's theory of Sijo, the contents are integrated in his book Poetics of Sijo poetry. He became to discuss Sijo as a regular poetry, even in this book. Especially a minute discussion about theory of Sijo's phrase and lines was accomplished in this time, theory of metrics based on meter and rhythm was a core discussion of this time too. Although his scholarly opinions are not refined comparing to the scholars of later ages, we can say that his opinions clearly worked a role of exemplary precedent. His opinions were other scholars ahead, nevertheless he had been neglected by researchers for not belonging to major group against his will. For this reason, I think Ahn's status in history of Sijo study has to be readjusted.

The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of contemporary vocalization and songs in order to learn various vocal methods in musical vocal classes and apply them to students. Musical vocalization methods change and evolve according to the demands of the times. Today, the characteristics of contemporary musicals cannot be limited to anyone genre, and the genre of music as well as the style of work are derived from several genres and coexist. 'The Girl in 14G,' the subject of this study, is a song that appeared in the album of Kristin Chenoweth, a famous American musical actress who uses various vocal techniques. Jeanine Tesori composed this song with various vocal techniques such as Classical, Jazz, Belting, and Mixed Voice to express New York's representative music genres of Broadway Musical, Metropolitan Opera and East Village Jazz. The development of the song consists of a difficult process in which one actor has to act across three different characters in three musical styles and singing methods. Singing 'The Girl in 14G' requires a lot of effort and practice as it is necessary to acquire various vocal techniques, which makes it a good text for students and actors in the educational perspective. As a result, this study confirmed that this song is a representative piece with a solid musical and dramatic composition and is a good example that shows the convergence characteristics of contemporary musical vocal techniques.

This study analyzed the status of Korean professional baseball as TV contents utilizing ratings. For the purpose of the study, Korea professional baseball's relative status to other genres though ratings is investigated. For this study, ratings per minute for the whole cable TV channel viewer ratings in 2010 were analyzed, and the following is the result of comparing and analyzing ratings per genre and channel of cable TV. Among 11 genres, drama showed the highest rating, and entertainment, movies, kids, news/reports, sports, music, etc followed. Drama and entertaining channels showed the highest ratings and sports did not show any high ranking. However, when analyzing times for broadcasting Korean professional baseball separately, Korean professional baseball in both genre and channel showed the highest r ratings and it was significant statistically. Thus, it is considered that Korean professional baseball is the most valuable contents for the related cable TV times.
