1963년 10월부터 1975년 5월까지 東海와 南海沿岸으로부터 채집된 標本들을 同定한 결과 1目 3科 5屬 8種을 얻었다. 이들은 모두 韓國未記錄種이었으며 다음과 같은 종들이다. Bellonella rubra Brundin, 1896; B, rigida putter, 1900; B. unicolor (Kukenthal, 1906); Alcyonium gracillimum Kukenthal, 1906; Paraspongodes spiculosa (Kukenthal, 1906); P. hitotai (Utinomi, 1951); Dendronephthya pectinata (Holm, 1895); Siphonogorgia dofleini Kukenthal, 1906.

Three monophyletic branches are strongly supported in a phylogenetic analysis of the Teloschistaceae based on combined data sets of internal transcribed spacer and large subunit nrDNA and 12S small subunit mtDNA sequences. These are described as new monotypic genera: Jasonhuria S. Y. Kondr., L. Lőkös et S. -O. Oh, Loekoesia S. Y. Kondr., S. -O. Oh et J. -S. Hur and Olegblumia S. Y. Kondr., L. Lőkös et J. -S. Hur. Three new combinations for the type species of these genera are proposed.

본 연구에서는 자연사박물관 웹 컨텐트 자료 중 특히 천연기념물, 멸종 위기종, 보호대상종 및 회귀동물, 특산종 들을 중심으로 컨텐트 검색 시스템을 구현하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해, 컨텐트 정보를 데이터베이스시스템에 저장하고, 저장된 자료를 웹 상에서 효과적으로 서비스 할 수 있는 검색 시스템을 구축하였다.

본 연구는 우리나라 선박 및 항해와 관련된 항로표지 업무를 관장하기 위해 설치된 국가제도 등에 관한 기록들을 주요 역사서를 통해 살펴보고, 삼국시대부터 봉수(烽燧)와 봉화(烽火) 같은 횃불을 밝혀 선박의 안전항해를 돕기 시작하여 근대 이후에는 석유등, 아세틸렌가스등, 전기등, LED 광원을 등대광원으로 사용한 변천과정을 알아본다.

Cryptothecia austrocoreana is a new lichen species from South Korea. The species is characterized by the presence of a heteromerous thallus and faveolate ascigerous area (ascomata) immersed in a slightly raised thallus. The species has muriform ascospores, (4)6-8-spored $8-11{\times}3-4$ septate, $(34)36-48(51){\times}(17)19-23(25){\mu}m$. Atranorin, chloroatranorin, and barbatic acid are present. In the phylogenetic tree, C. austrocoreana belongs to the arthonioid clade in Arthoniaceae.

제주도산 넓적송장벌레의 개체군에 대한 분류학적 위치를 검토하기 위해 한국, 일본 및 중국지역의 105 개체의 성충을 대상으로 수리분석과 수컷 생식기 비교를 실시하였다. 그 결과 ,제주도산 송장벌레 개체군은 지역적 특성의 형태적 차이를 보여 주는 넓적송장벌레(Silpha perforata) Gebler 의 종내 변이로 나타났다.

G. Lafer에 의해 조사된 한국산 반날개류에 대한 조사 내용을 보고한다. 조사된 반날개류는 38종이 동정되었고, 이들 중 4종이 (Atheta weisei, Bolitobius setiger, Lesteva plagiata, and Sepedophilus germanus) 한국산 미기록종으로 밝혀졌다.

Recently, the new genus Parkiana (Lecithoceridae) and its two new species, Parkiana matutinalis and Parkiana andasibensis, were described by the authors from Andasibe, Madagascar. Although the morphological descriptions and figures fully characterized the new genus with two new species in that paper, the journal issue in which the description appeared was published online-only, and the ZooBank LSID, required for validation of new names in electronic-only publications, was not included. Therefore, the present note serves to validate the names of the new genus and species, Parkiana, Parkiana matutinalis and Parkiana andasibensis, by fulfilling Code conditions for nomenclatural availability.

Pelagic tunicate, Thetys vagina Tilesius, 1802, is newly reported from Korean waters. The genus Thetys Tilesius, 1802 is also first recorded as Korean fauna. Thetys vagina is the only valid species in the genus Thetys. It is distinct from other genera by having at least 16 body muscles widely interrupted, no anterior proboscis, bent alimentary canal in the solitary oozooid, and five narrow body muscles, no ventral peduncle, an almost compact loop alimentary canal in the aggregate blastozooids. The specimens of T. vagina examined in this study were collected at the subtidal zone of Ulleung-do Island by scuba diving. In this paper, the detailed descriptions and photographs of both the solitary and aggregate living forms of T. vagina are provided.

A new whitefly species, Pealius yunnanensissp. nov., collected from Mengzi, Caoba village (Yunnan, China) on Ficus microcarpa Linn. f. (Urticales: Moraceae), is described with morphology, line illustrations, photographs and scanning electron microscope images. In addition, a checklist of Chinese species of Pealius is provided and all Pealius species recorded from Ficus around the world are listed. Specimens have been deposited in the Insect Collection of Zhejiang Agriculture & Forestry University (ZAFU), Lin'an, China.
