  • Improved algorithms are presented to design linear phase digital FIR filters with coefficients of +1,0,-1 only followed by a multiple integrator. It has been shown that the existing linear phase filter design concept for the single integrator(or, accumulator)case can be extended to the case of the multiple integrator. Linear phase conditions for the multiple integrators are summarized. Filter design methods with double or triple integrator are exploited in datail and its computer simulation results are presented to deduce the advantages of multiple integrator to the single integrator.

  • This paper presents the design and simulation of a laser power beaming (LPB) system for an electric vehicle that establishes an optimal power transmission path based on the received signal strength. The LPB system is possible to transfer power from multiple transmitters to a single receiver according to the characteristics of the laser and the solar panel. When the laser beams of multiple transmitters aim at a solar panel at the same time, the received power is the sum of all energy at a solar panel. Our proposed LPB system consists of multiple transmitters and multiple receivers. The transmitter sends its power characteristics as optically coded pulses with a class 1 laser beam and powers as a high-intensity laser beam. By using the attenuated power level, the receiver can estimate the maximum receivable powers from the transmitters and select optimal transmitters. Throughout the simulation, we verified the possibility that different LPB receivers were achieved their required power by the optimal allocation of the transmitter among the various transmitters.

  • 최근 방위 산업에는 장비가 군에서 요구한 임무를 완수하기 위해 장비 설계, 운용, 그리고 정비 측면에서 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 동시조달수리부속은 장비가 군에 납품될 때 함께 들어가는 수리부속으로써, 이것을 분석하는 것은 장비의 운용가용도를 높이는데 가장 중요한 부분 중 하나이다. 그러나 이렇게 중요한 동시조달수리부속이지만 현실적 개발 환경을 고려한 공학적 분석 방법 발전 보다는 정책적인 방법으로 해결해 나가고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 동시조달수리부속 최적화를 위해 시뮬레이션과 다중 회귀모형 기법을 활용한 공학적 분석을 연구하였다. 먼저, 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용하여 가상으로 운용해보면서 정의된 보급 및 정비체계를 분석하고 이를 통해 품목별 동시조달수리부속의 수량을 변화에 따른 운용가용도의 변화 추이를 결과 자료로 산출하였다. 이렇게 얻은 입출력 자료를 통해 수리적 다중 회귀모형을 도출 후 선형계획법을 사용하여 동시조달수리부속 최적화를 하였다. 이때 최적화는 단가 제약을 두었다. 이 방법의 가장 큰 장점은 최적화 선정시 기준이 되는 제약조건의 변화에 빠르게 대응할 수 있다. 장비의 개발 단계에서는 품목별 단가는 지속적으로 바뀌기 마련이다. 이런 환경에서 제약조건이 바뀔 때 마다 시뮬레이션 분석을 재 수행하면 분석 속도가 늦어질 수밖에 없다. 그러므로 본 방법은 실제 개발 환경에 적합한 것이라 할 수 있다. 향후 이런 기본 개념을 바탕으로 시뮬레이션 모델링을 정밀화하고, 회귀모형의 정확성을 높여 연구의 완성도를 높일 것이다.

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the design parameters and to develop the cooling and heating load prediction equations of office buildings. The building load calculation simulation was carried out using the DOE-2.1E program. The results of the simulation were used as data for multiple regression analysis which could develop the load prediction equations.

The building load calculation simulation was carried out using the DOE-2.1E program.   • In this paper, we presents a vector control method for the parallel-connected motor drive system. The new estimation scheme of rotor flux position is presented to reduce sensitivity due to load difference between the motors. To confirm the validity of the proposed control method. we compare a simulation result of the proposed control method with that of the conventional indirect vector control method. The simulation results show that the proposed control method is more effective for change in load torque and motor parameters.

  • Applying human engineering simulation to analyzing work capability and movements of operators during manufacturing is highly demanded. However, difficulty in modeling digital human required for simulation makes engineers to be reluctant to utilize human simulation for their tasks. This paper addresses such problem on human engineering simulation by developing the technology to automatize human modeling with multiple Kinects at different depths. The Kinects enable us to acquire the movements of digital human which are essential data for implementing human engineering simulation. In this paper, we present a system for modeling automation of digital human. Especially, the system provides a way of generating the digital model of workers' movement and position using multiple Kinects which cannot be generated by single Kinect. Lastly, we verify the effects of the developed system in terms of modeling time and accuracy by applying the system to four different scenarios. In conclusion, the proposed system makes it possible to generate the digital human model easily and reduce costs and time for human engineering simulation.

다자유도 비선형계의 불규칙 진동 해석 (Random Vibration of Non-linear System with Multiple Degrees of Freedom)

  • Vibration of a non-linear system with multiple degrees of freedom under random parametric excitations was evaluated by probabilistic method. The non-linear characteristic terms of system structure were quasi-linearized and excitation terms were remained as they were. An analytical method where the expectation values of square mean of error was minimized was used. The numerical results were compared with those obtained by Monte Carlo simulation. A linear congruential generator and Box-Muller method were used in Monte Carlo simulation. The comparison showed the results by probabilistic method agreed well with those by Monte Carlo simulation.

Agent-Oriented Fuzzy Traffic Control Simulation

  • Urban traffic situations are extremely complex and highly interactive. The multi-agent systems approach can provide a new desirable solution. Currently, a traffic simulator is needed to understand and explore the difficulties in an agent-oriented traffic control. This paper presents an agent-oriented fuzzy logic controller for multiple crossroads simulation. A fuzzy logic control simulation with variables of arrival, queue, and traffic volume could alleviate traffic congestion. We developed an agent-oriented simulator suitable for traffic junctions with η$\times$η intersections in Visual C++. The proposed method adaptively controls the cycle of traffic signals even though the traffic volume varies. The effectiveness of this method was shown through simulation of multiple intersections.

Compromise Programming을 이용한 물류센터 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study for Design of Distribution Center using Compromise Programming)

  • For the effective design of automated distribution center composed of Automated Storage/Retrieval System, Automated Guided Vehicle System, and Conveyor System, we proposed an analysis method to determining. design and control parameters with multiple performance objectives using Compromise Programming, which can resolve the dilemma of conflicting objectives. The Evolution Strategy generates the optimal solutions for each objectives. The Analytic Hierarchy Process selects the best solution among the alternatives generated from Evolution Strategy. The Regression Analysis formulates the objective functions for each objectives. By reducing deviations between goal values and target values generated from Analytic Hierarchy Process, Compromise Programming determines design and control parameters by compromising the multiple objectives formulated using Regression Analysis. When the parameters of system are changed, this proposed analysis method has a benefit of reducing costs and time without repeating whole simulation run.
