Purpose: This study aimed to find the factors affecting medical sequelae management service satisfaction among injured workers. Method: This study population were 200 randomised samples of 619 medical sequelae management beneficiaries from April to June 2007 among occupational accident treatment ending workers in 2006. Data were collected through the telephone survey from November 28 to December 7 in 2007. Data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$ test and multiple logistic regression using SAS 9.1 version. Results: According to the finding of this study, positive perceptions for the purpose and the effect of medical sequelae management were the factors influencing the satisfaction of medical sequelae management service. Conclusions: We recommend key issues to take into account for enhancing medical sequelae management service satisfaction in workers' compensation as follows; explaining the purpose and effect of medical sequelae management to client, evaluating medical sequelae management effect, and the policy participation of medical profession.

With the increasing number of network nodes, traditional client/server node selection mechanisms are under tremendous pressure. In order to select efficient cooperative nodes in a highly dynamic P2P network topology, this article uses greedy algorithm to translate the overall optimization into multiple local optimal problems, and to quickly select service nodes. Therefore, the service node with the largest comprehensive capacity is selected to reduce the transmission delay and improve the throughput of the service node. The final simulation results show that the node selection strategy based on greedy algorithm can effectively improve the overall performance of P2P streaming media system.

In this paper, we devise both methods supporting interactive VCR-like functions for MPEG stream and minimizing the storage space. Specifically, we proposed both methods to efficiently stripe MPEG stream into multiple disks, and an access strategy to retrieve the distributed streams over the disks. To accurately locate the streams to be referred to, we introduce a table indexing the location. When client request Fast Forward(FF)/Fast Backward(FB), VOD(Video on Demand) server refer to this index table supporting FF/FB functions. Experimental result shows that the proposed method can reduce the additional storage space needed when VOD server services FF/FB functions.

In this paper, we propose a common simulation model that can be reused for different performance evaluations of networked virtual environments. To this end, we analyzed the common features of NVEs, in which multiple regions compose a shared space, and where a user has his/her own interest area. Communication architecture can be client-server or peer-server models. In usual simulations, users move around the world while the number of users varies with the system. Our model provides various simulation parameters to customize the region configuration and user movement pattern. Furthermore, our model introduces a way to mimic a lot of users in a minimal experiment environment. The proposed model is integrated with our network framework, which supports various scalability approaches. We specifically applied our model to the interest management and load distribution schemes to evaluate communication overhead. With the proposed simulation model, a new simulation can be easily designed in a large-scale environment.

오늘날 네트웍의 발달로 인하여 사용자가 원하는 영상매체를 실시간으로 요구하는 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 날로 증가하고 있다. 때문에 영상매체를 제공하는 서버는 여러 사용자들이 동시에 접속하였을 때 서비스를 제공 할 수 있는 능력을 가져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 VOD(Video-On-Demand)시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. VOD 시스템은 미디어를 분석하여 BES(Back-End-Server)에 저장하는 영화 관리자(Movie Manager), 분산 저장된 데이터를 읽어 들여 사용자나 연결된 FES(Front-End Server)로 보내는 BES, 사용자에게 미디어 데이트를 전송하는 FES와 전송된 데이트를 받아서 재생하는 클라이언트(Client)를 구성된다. 또한 다수의 서버를 연결하기 위하여 SCI(Scalabel Coherent Interface)를 이용한 효율적인 메시지 전송방법을 구현한다.

The purposes of this study are to examine effects of household characteristics and risk tolerance attitude on risk tolerance behavior and to investigate the effect of risk tolerance attitude and behavior on financial satisfaction. For this study, data were collected during October of 2001 through a popular Web site for women in South Korea (www.azoomma.com). The participants in this study were 609 housewives, resulting in 607 with usable data. Multiple regression and path analysis were conducted using the SPSS for Windows. Findings suggest that the greater is risk tolerance attitude, the greater is risk tolerance behavior and those who exhibit more risk tolerance behavior tend to be more satisfied with their personal financial situation. It implies that risk tolerance behavior playa positive role in predicting financial satisfaction. The results have implication for family economists and educators in developing educational program and presenting strategic to increases financial well-being, and also for financial counselors and planners in suggesting portfolio advice to their client

In order to maximize an efficient management of human cell resource under the cryogenic environments, in this paper, a middleware is introduced to support the function for multiple-perceiving RFID tags of intelligent sample case which can share medical information between sensor network devices. Optimized user interface is also designed for that. On based of the designing, special tasks required of a genetic resource working process can be processed on Complex Machine.

As the needs for wireless Internet service is increasing, the needs for secure m-commerce is also increasing. Conventional security techniques are reinforced by biometric security technique. This paper utilized the voice as biometric security techniques. We developed speaker verification system for m-commerce (mobile commerce) via wireless internet and wireless application protocol (WAP). We named this system the mVprotek. We implemented the system as client-server architecture. The clients are mobile phone simulator and personal digital assistant (PDA). The verification results are obtained by integrating the mVprotek system with SK Telecom's code dimension multiple access (CDMA) system. Utilizing f-ratio weighting and virtual cohort model normalization showed much better performance than conventional background model normalization technique.

Hsp90 is an ubiquitous molecular chaperone protein, which plays an important role in regulating maturation and stabilization of many oncogenic proteins. Due to its potential to simultaneously disable multiple signaling pathways, Hsp90 represents great promise as a therapeutic target of cancer. In this study, we synthesized flavokawain analogues and evaluated their biological activities against drug-resistant cancer cells. The study indicated that compound 1i impaired the growth of gefitinib-resistant non-small cell lung cancer (H1975), down-regulated the expression of Hsp90 client proteins including EGFR, Her2, Met, Akt and Cdk4, and upregulated the expression of Hsp70. The result strongly suggested that compound 1i inhibited the proliferation of cancer cells through Hsp90 inhibition. Overall, compound 1i could serve as a potential lead compound to overcome the drug resistance in cancer chemotherapy.

We developed an identifier mapping application for bioinformatics research in Java programming language. It is easy to use and provides many usability functionalities that are expected as essentials for a professional application. It supports three widely used mapping services and can convert many ids from one source database into many target databases at once. Id mapping across service providers is possible by remapping the resultant ids. Because it adheres to the NetBeans platform architecture, it can be incorporated into other NetBeans platform applications as an id mapping provider without adaption or modification.
