This study examines antecedent factors that influence subsidiaries' MNC (multinational corporation) knowledge adoption. I argue that subsidiary local environmental factors(local embeddedness, level of local competition), subsidiary organizational factors(parent investment, subsidiary CEO expatriation, scope of subsidiary value chain), and subsidiary relational factors(subsidiary autonomy, the strength of subsidiary in MNC, social capital) are the important enablers for subsidiaries to adopt knowledge from other MNC units. Especially, I use two data set (knowledge from (1) peer subsidiaries, (2) parent company) to estimate the effect of the factors. The results indicate that subsidiary local embeddedness and scope of subsidiary value chain negatively influence on subsidiary knowledge adoption from peer subsidiaries. Conversely, the strength of subsidiary in MNC and social capital positively influence on that. Subsidiary knowledge adoption from parent company is positively influenced by parent investment and social capital.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate stages of safety and health culture change through a reflection on 40 years of hearing conservation history at a multinational company. Methods: The target workplaces were multinational companies with more than 1,000 employees. The research used the clinical case study and system analysis methods based on direct observation of the research from 1994 to 2009. The latter method performed an analysis of the equilibrium state of the cross-section in the given period and the longitudinal profile of the change during the given period. Results: The stages of cultural change are divided into five stages and summarized as follows. In the first stage, workplace noise was not widely recognized as a hazard, while in the second stage, the measurement of noise levels and audiometric testing were conducted under the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act (KOSHA). The driving force for change in the second stage was the amendment of the KOSHA. In the third stage, noise came to be recognized as a hazard factor through awareness training. The driving force of change during the third stage was the strong executive power exerted by the audit of the industrial hygiene program from the US head office. In the fourth step, there was a change to actually reduce noise. The driving force in this stage was a change in company executives' risk perception resulting from lawsuits over noise-induced hearing loss and the task force team activities for culture change based on the action learning protocol. At the fifth stage, a 'buy quiet policy' was institutionalized. The management's experience that noise reduction was difficult was the motivation to manage noise from the time of purchase of equipment. Conclusions: The activities of a hearing conservation program are determined by the improvement of the legal system and by the way it is enforced. Noise control activities to reduce noise areas may be possible through the shared risk perception of noise-induced hearing loss and by a change agent role as a facilitator to implement noise control.

Consumer attitudes and behaviors towards brands are not only related to the perception of corporate brand image but also to factors such as the image of the country of origin, the characteristics of the host country, and consumer individual traits. This article focuses on Chinese multinational companies and aims to study the impact of brand international image and country-of-origin brand image on consumer behavior. A model is constructed with brand international image and country-of-origin brand image as antecedent variables, host country characteristics and consumer traits as moderators, and consumer behavior as the outcome. This study employs a questionnaire survey method targeting foreign residents living in China as participants. The research findings reveal that during the internationalization process, both brand international image and country-of-origin brand image have a significant positive impact on consumer behavior, while host country characteristics and consumer traits play a moderating role. The conclusions of this research enrich the theoretical understanding of brand internationalization and explore the influencing factors of consumer behavior, providing a basis for decision-making for multinational company executives.

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is an economically important disease in the poultry industry worldwide. This disease commonly manifests respiratory signs, poor egg quality, and decline in egg production. Since IBV is a RNA virus, the emergence of new variant strains is continuously reported and the immunization of susceptible chickens with only one antigenic type of the virus has been shown to induce partial or no protection against other unrelated types. Therefore, it is difficult to diagnose IBV due to variants serotypes. In this study, we collected serum from various ages of Broiler GP (Grandparent) to Layer CC (Commercial chick) and performed detectability comparison test between domestic company and multinational company manufacturing ELISA kit. Results of this experiment suggest that domestic company manufacturing ELISA kit is more sensitive to infectious bronchitis antibody than that of the multinational company. Our findings also suggest that antibody's change trends after infectious bronchitis vaccination. Thus, the use of appropriate kit for domestic situations is important.
