  • 산업의 급속한 발전은 많은 폐자원을 발생시킨다. 특히 연안 지역은 특성상 다양한 산업들에 의해 여러 종류의 폐자원이 배출된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 연안역의 폐자원 데이터를 관리하고 활용하기 위한 데이터베이스를 구현하였다. 폐자원 및 폐자원 활용 데이터를 표현하기 위한 데이터 모델을 설계하고 구현하였다. 인터넷 환경에서 데이터수집미치검색을 효과적으로 지원할수 있도록 하였다.

  • In this paper, we analyzed performance of proposed system ad DS/CDMA GMSK system in rician fading environment. Also, we expected that proposed system with turbo code scheme is applicable system for voice, data and multimedia communication.

  • Nowadays, maritime communication systems need high data rate, reliability, and consistency in order to equivalently provide navigating ships with diverse multimedia services as in terrestrial communication systems. For this purpose, we conceptualize and design the maritime network for ships equipped with a multiband communication system which cost-effectively supports multimedia services according to several radiofrequency bands, such as HF, VHF, and satellite frequencies. We also introduce two service scenarios targeted for the maritime network; ship multimedia service (SMS) and real-time maritime logistics location tracking (RML2T). In addition, we specify related works according to three lower network layers (i.e., physical, data-link, and network layers) upon designing the network.

  • The web 2.0 is leading a rapid change of internet services. The UCC(User Created Contents) service is one of the representative internet services with web 2.0 paradigm. In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system does not need to install ActiveX and client programs on devices of users to edit their contents. All processes for editing UCC are conducted on the server. Our proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia editing subsystem and the metadata management system. They provide the API to UCC service developers or vendors. The multimedia editing subsystem supports editing for image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video.

  • To improve the throughput of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, we focus on the scenario where D2D pair can reuse multi-channel of cellular communication. However, as sharing same channel with cellular communication can cause interference between D2D communication and cellular communication, a proper interference management is needed. In this paper, we propose interference-based channel allocation to select the channels to be used by D2D communication and a solution from game theory perspective to optimize the D2D communication throughput under multi-channel as well as guarantee the interference from it to cellular network. The simulation results verify the stability of the proposed method.

The Effect of Emoticons on User Image making and Self-expression Satisfaction in MIM Communication (MIM커뮤니케이션에서 이모티콘 활용이 사용자 이미지메이킹과 자기표현 만족감에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of users' emoticon usage on their satisfaction with image making and self-expression in MIM communication. We defined internal attraction, social appeal, and communication ability as personal image making factors due to the use of emoticons in MIM communication. And we defined the research hypotheses based on the definition of intimacy, openness, and social reality as relational image making factors. In MIM communication, we analyzed the questionnaire about emoticon users. As a result, emoticon usage was found to have a positive and significant effect on self-expression in relation image making rather than personal image making. The study implies that the use of emoticons can lead to image making in MIM communication and satisfy the satisfaction of self expression.

  • Based on the technical innovation of the recent communication system technologies, systems are linked by the worldwide network. We introduce some examples of the multimedia network systems. Especially, we introduce our recent attempt to realize the multimedia tele-surgery system using high speed optical fiber network. At first, we shows the technical problems of the multimedia tele-surgery. We applied this idea to the intravascular neurosurgery. System configuration for the prototype experiments and experimental results are shown.
