This study describes a multicultural literacy program that can nurture multicultural people who can live in a multicultural society. A total of 10 20-hour programs were conducted for 22 youths in Busan. Through this, the current perception and acceptance of multiculturalism among young people in Busan was investigated, and a curriculum suitable for multicultural awareness, multicultural acceptance, and multicultural competency enhancement was constructed. In accordance with the goal of strengthening the multicultural competency required for multicultural activists through education, learners can exchange opinions through the activity sheet, so that learners can know the difference between themselves and others. Students could learn about each other's culture and values through cultural exchange with others, and through teachers with diverse cultures, they could learn various perspectives and cultures about culture and values. Through the results of the multicultural literacy program, I would like to suggest three methods of multicultural literacy education to strengthen multicultural competence in a multicultural society. Therefore, efforts should be made to develop various multicultural education courses to strengthen the multicultural capabilities of Koreans.

It has become a request of the time that multicultural population and multicultural education have become an issue and a subject of interest in the Korean society. The numbers of foreigners and multicultural families such as international marriage families and foreign worker families living in Korea are increasing, which have resulted in a geometrical increase in the number of multicultural families' children attending school. This leads an assumption that discrimination in terms of race, gender, religion, and culture can occur in school settings and the children of multicultural families are prone to become the targets of group bullying and school violence. This study first examined the current policy of multicultural education in Korea and reviewed the meanings and necessity of multicultural counseling above multicultural education. Second, this study classified and reviewed the applicability of the policy of multicultural education into multicultural education sites by groups. Third, this study selected and organized the increasing demands for multicultural counseling and assignments to effectively respond to them. Interest toward the children of multicultural families and counseling have increased with more researches on multicultural families. It will be thus necessary to accumulate more studies on multicultural counseling and ensure internal stability of multicultural-related businesses.

Purpose: This study is a research study to investigate the effects of multicultural experience, perception, and multicultural efficacy on nursing students' multicultural acceptance. Method: The relationship between variables was analyzed using SPSS/WIN 25 program by Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the effect of multicultural experience and perception and multicultural efficacy on multicultural acceptance was analyzed by multiple regression analysis. Results: TVariables affecting multicultural acceptance were multicultural awareness (β=0.30, p<001) and multicultural efficacy (β=0.49, p<.001), and multicultural efficacy had a significant effect on multicultural acceptance. In the results of the regression model, among the variables of multicultural awareness and multicultural efficacy, the multicultural efficacy variable had a greater effect on multicultural acceptance, and both variables had a positive effect on multicultural acceptance. The explanatory power of the regression model for multicultural acceptance was 57.5% (F=59.33, p<.001). Conclusion: Factors affecting multicultural acceptance of nursing students are multicultural awareness and efficacy. Support should be provided to provide opportunities to broaden acceptance.

This study focuses on the understanding of social workers' needs for cultural competence and understanding its meaning. And furthermore, this study describes Korean cultural competence and how it is viewed in Korean reality where social workers are. Therefore, this study suggests this research idea based on previous researches data and discussed issues. Particularly considering the unique nature of Korean social welfare site involving multicultural, the role of advocacy is considered essential to Korea. Also, it is necessary and unavoidable part of the perspective of a social justice. Currently, with increasing international marriage, Korean society is rapidly moving toward a multicultural society. This means that we need to promote the ongoing multicultural understanding education to improve and enhance multicultural education system. But, the real effect of the multicultural understanding education in reality of the situation represent just other culture introduction, thus, most of the ongoing multicultural understanding education systems are insufficient to improve the multicultural competence. Korea still has a long way to go before becoming a full-fledged multicultural society. A multicultural society can bring diversity and rich life. Therefore, social workers with deep Korean multicultural competence should be increased in Korean changing multicultural society.

Multicultural education is not about learning about a specific ethnic group, but rather developing the ability to cross the border of one's own culture and have conversations with people of other cultures. I think the purpose is to promote empathy and consideration. This study emphasizes the importance of developing multi-dimensional educational programs for all members of society for multicultural social integration, and it is necessary to lead personal, social and civic action movements to create a fair society through media-based multicultural literacy education. said that In order to achieve harmony and integration in a multicultural society, it is the most important to acknowledge cultural diversity and to discard cultural prejudices and inequalities for symbiosis between the mainstream culture and the minority culture. In particular, the United States and Germany, which have successfully led multicultural social integration, are comprehensive in all areas, including interculturalism based on peaceful coexistence and respect, labor market issues, vocational education issues, housing and health issues, and communication issues through media literacy. He led a multicultural national integration system with approaches and methods. Therefore, our multicultural education policy should also pursue a new paradigm that presupposes a change in the public's awareness of a multicultural society.

The objective of this study is to underline the important role of needs for multicultural education in the formation of middle and high school students' cultural sensitivity for the sake of coping multicultural society. This study focuses on how adolescents' multicultural society recognition and education experiences shape and influence their cultural sensitivity, with the mediating role of multicultural education needs perception. A survey 303 middle school students and 236 high school students Daejeon was conducted. The results of this study as follows. First, high school students' open minded and social participation were significantly higher than those of middle school students, while the latter multicultural education experience level was higher than the former. Second, it was found that multicultural society recognition and education experiences have an indirect impact on cultural sensitivity mediating multicultural education needs perception as well as have a direct effect. However, adolescents' cultural sensitivity was shaped by mediating role of multicultural education needs perception rather than by direct effect of multicultural society recognition and education experiences. A major contribution of this research is the identification of the role of multicultural education needs perception in fostering adolescents' cultural sensitivity.

Purpose - The multicultural society is a society where a variety of ethnic groups and cultures co-exist. Regarding Korean multicultural society, the public interest in the multicultural society and its problems are on a growing trend due to the increasing number of the multicultural families by international marriage and the foreign immigrant workers. Research design, data, and methodology - Models of the multicultural society policies have been divided into those of assimilation and multiculturalism, while they have been materialized into the models of discriminative exclusivism, assimilation and multiculturalism. Most countries are aiming at the model of either the multiculturalism or the assimilation focused on national managerial situations. Results - In the case of Europe where the multicultural society had been formed earlier than Korea, Islamic immigrants have been politically accepted in order for Europe to overcome the problem of population decrease caused by its low birth-rate. Also, in the case of the United States. Conclusions - Korean multicultural society policies are characterized mostly by supporting the multicultural families of international marriage. In this study, it is intended to present the characteristics of diversified immigrants and the possible directions of the polices on immigrant youth in accordance with each country's managerial policy.

The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.

This study purposed to analyze difference in experience of life in Korea among adolescents whose immigrant backgrounds were different (Korean-born children of multicultural families and foreign-born immigrant children) using the data of the 2012 National Survey of Multicultural Families (adolescent children aged between 9 and 24). According to the results of analysis, first, multicultural adolescents with immigrant backgrounds experienced 'difficulty in using the Korean language (speaking, listening, reading, and writing),' 'school dropout,' and 'school violence' more frequently than Korean-born multicultural adolescents. Second, with regard to social discrimination (friends, teachers, relatives, neighbors, and unknown people), multicultural adolescents with immigrant backgrounds experienced 'discrimination by teachers,' 'discrimination by relatives,' 'discrimination by neighbors,' and 'discrimination by unknown people' more frequently than Korean-born multicultural adolescents. By analyzing these differences, this study suggested directions for differentiated support policies and specific strategies for adjustment to life in Korea by multicultural family adolescents with different backgrounds.

The purpose of this research is to study a perception of multicultural education for preservice teachers who major in mathematics. The research has been done on the data collected from 126 preservice teachers in Gangwon-do who major in mathematics. The data collected include experience of multiculturalism, multicultural efficacy, multicultural understanding and multicultural sensitivity. The data have been analyzed by reliability test, t-test, one-way anova and pearson correlation. Most of preservice teachers who major in mathematics have had no experience of multiple cultures. But they have shown a high perception on multicultural education and a significant positive correlation on their experience of multiculturalism, multicultural efficacy and multicultural sensitivity. Furthermore, the female preservice teachers' multicultural efficacy, multicultural understanding and multicultural sensitivity are much more high than the male preservice teachers'. The difference between different sex has been statistically significant.
