고에너지 레이저용 고밀집 다채널 실리콘-카바이드 변형거울의 정밀 조립 방법 (Method for the Assembly of a High-density Multi-channel Deformable Mirror for High Energy Lasers)

  • 대기 중 레이저 빔 전파 시 대기 난류에 의한 악영향을 해소하고 빔품질을 향상시키기 위해서 적응광학을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 장거리 레이저 전송을 위한 적응광학계의 핵심 부품인 변형거울의 정밀 조립 방법을 제안한다. 변형거울은 거울판과 구동기, 플렉셔(flexure)로 구성되며 이 부품들을 정밀하게 조립하는 것이 성능을 좌우한다. 본 논문에서는 지그의 설계/제작을 통해 고밀집 다채널 실리콘-카바이드 변형거울을 완성했으며, 변형거울 성능 확인을 통해 제안한 방법의 유효성을 검증했다.

  • In this paper, fatigue tests were carried out to study the behavior of growth and coalescence of multi-surface cracks which were initiated at the semi-circular surface notches, and a simulation program was developed to predict their growth and coalescence behavior. By comparing the experimental result with those of the simulation based on SPC(surface point connection), ASME and BSI(British Standards Institution) conditions, we tried to enhance the reliance and integrity of structures. This shows that the simulation result has utility for fatigue life prediction.

수명주기가 긴 제품의 설계정보관리를 위한 다층 제품정보 모델링 방안 (Multi-level Product Information Modeling for Managing Long-term Life-cycle Product Information)

  • This paper proposes a multi-level product modeling framework for long-term lifecycle products. The framework can help engineers to define product models and relate them to physical instances. The framework is defined in three levels; data, design model, modeling language. The data level represents real-world products, The model level describes design models of real-world products. The modeling language level defines concepts and relationships to describe product design models. The concepts and relationships in the modeling language level enable engineers to express the semantics of product models in an engineering-friendly way. The interactions between these three levels are explained to show how the framework can manage long-term lifecycle product information. A prototype system is provided for further understanding of the framework.

  • A simulation program concerned with multi-surface fatigue cracks which initiated at the semi-circular surface notches has been developed to predict their growth and coalescence behaviors at the elevated temperature. Three kinds of coalescence models such as SPC(surface point connection), ASME and BSI(British Standards Institution) conditions were applied, and the results of the simulation were compared with those of the experiment. This simulation is able to enhance the reliance and integrity of structures especially under the elevated temperature which have lots of difficulties in experiments and applications. This shows that the simulation result has utility for fatigue life prediction. Even though all the specimens were the same shape, the error rate was increased in accordance with the applied stress to the specimen. Among the material constants C and m in the narrow band, the results applied upper values of the band to the simulation has shown quite small error compared with the experiment results.

  • Throughput and quality-of-service (QoS) over multi-cell environments are two of the most challenging issues that must be addressed when developing next generation wireless network standards. Currently, multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO), inter-cell coordination and multi-hop relay technologies are viable options for improving channel capacity or coverage extension. Nevertheless, severe QoS degradation occurs in the outer region of multi-cells due to significant interference from neighboring cells or relay stations, thereby limiting overall performance. Therefore, we propose a scheme which adapted to hybrid relaying.

A Study on the Key Points of Korean MPL Training System

  • Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) is an international pilot certification adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2006 under the recognition of the need for efficient and systematic pilot training including the education of pilots with advanced aviation technology and ability to respond to flight environment, resolution of the human factor problems of pilots, and provision of stable training tools for transport aircraft pilots for potential risk of pilot shortage in the future. South Korea also has prepared a legal basis for operating an MPL system in the Aviation Act in 2009, but there has been no domestic MPL qualifier. The biggest reason for this seems to be the insufficient domestic MPL training system. Therefore, it is necessary to benchmark the international standards of the ICAO, and to promote the development of the Korean MPL training system through revision and supplementation of laws and regulations in consideration of Korean circumstances.

Variations in Multi-family House Prices Following Remodeling Work

  • The remodeling of multi-family houses (MFH) has emerged as a significant issue in the construction industry. Many decision makers struggle with the decision to remodel because of insufficient information including standards or methods for projecting the price of their structure after remodeling. In this context, this research analyzed the change in price of MFHs after remodeling. To achieve this research goal, (i) the price data from 14 groups (i.e., MFH renovation cases and equivalent MFH cases without remodeling) were collected, and (ii) the trend of price variation among each group was analyzed. Finally, this research suggests price variations of each group in terms of three different time points (i.e., before remodeling, after remodeling, and the present), which shows the effects of remodeling on the price of MFHs. This research offers a framework for the development of a model that will predict the price of an MFH after remodeling.

  • The European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) Technical Committee (TC) Reconfigurable Radio Systems (RRS) is standardizing the multi-mode Mobile Device (MD). The configuration of multi-mode MD is determined by the downloaded mobile communication standard software. In this paper, we introduce the Radio Library concept for multi-mode MD which is one of the key components of RRS standard. This paper also introduces the Standard Functional Block which is a part of Radio Library. A method for selecting efficiency SFBs for multi-mode MD is presented and a Radio Library is generated based on the selected SFBs. This paper also shows sample Standard Functional Block Set which included in Radio Library. In order to verify the compatibility of the generated Radio Library which was made by C language, we implement the LTE Rel-10 and Wi-Fi(802.11b) to show the efficiency of generating a mobile communication standard software based on the Radio Library. Then using the Prograph Visual Programming MartenTM 1.6.4, we compiled our LTE Rel-10 and Wi-Fi(802.11b) source code.

공동주택의 건강성능 평가지표 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation Indicators of Healthy Housing Quality of Multi-Family Housing)

  • The purpose this study is to develop indicators that measure the healthy housing condition of multi-family housing. The major findings are as follow: first, healthy housing was defined by physical, mental, social, and management aspects and proposed the conceptual model of hierarchy structure of evaluation of healthy housing by literature reviews. Second, evaluating items were selected based on literature reviews of existing indicators and preceding studies about both domestic and overseas multi-family housing. The evaluating indicators were identified as a total of 87 evaluating items which were composed of four dimensions and 16 attributes on the basis of the conceptual model. They cover comprehensive scope of the multi-family housing such as unit, building, complex, and site. Third, as the measurement, the 5-point ordinal scale measure was suggested. The evaluating measurement including measure standards, measure methods, and measure contents were developed by each evaluating items. Lastly, the weighting of evaluating indicators was developed by AHP method conducted by survey of an expert group. Items were identified as high contributors or low contributors. The weighting of these items could suggest several evaluations according to the situation. The level of healthy housing condition may be evaluated by both total evaluation and a specific field of evaluation.

다차원 데이터를 위한 시멘틱 웹 연구 (A Study on Semantic Web for Multi-dimensional Data)

  • 최근 공간 데이터와 같은 2차원 데이터를 위한 Semantic Web에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 2차원 Semantic Web은 기존의 Geospatial Web과 Semantic Web이 접목되어 다양한 지리 공간 정보와 일반 웹 상의 방대한 비공간 정보를 효율적으로 연계 및 통합하여 제공할 수 있는 지능적인 지리정보 웹 서비스 기술이다. 하지만 다차원 데이터 처리를 위한 연구는 전체적으로 부족한 편이며, 관련 표준 역시 제정되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그동안 진행되었던 Ontology 처리 기술과 관련된 다양한 기반 이론 및 기술들을 적용하여 다차원 데이터 처리가 가능한 온톨로지, 질의, 추론에 대한 내용을 제안하였다. 또한 각각 제안한 내용을 다차원 질의가 필요한 가상 시나리오에 적용해보았다.
