  • In this study, as the preliminary step far developing a multi-purpose Autonomous robust carrier mobile robot to transport trolleys or heavy goods and serve as robotic nursing assistant in hospital wards. The aim of this paper is to present the use of multi-sensor data fusion such as sonar, IR sensor for map-building mobile robot to navigate, and presents an experimental mobile robot designed to operate autonomously within both indoor and outdoor environments. Smart sensory systems are crucial for successful autonomous systems. We will give an explanation for the robot system architecture designed and implemented in this study and a short review of existing techniques, since there exist several recent thorough books and review paper on this paper. It is first dealt with the general principle of the navigation and guidance architecture, then the detailed functions recognizing environments updated, obstacle detection and motion assessment, with the first results from the simulations run.

  • Localization is the key role in controlling the Mobile Robot. In this papers, a development of the sensor fusion algorithm for controling UTV(Unmanned Tracked Vehicle) is presented. The multi-sensocial dead-rocking subsystem is established based on the optimal filtering by first fusing heading angle reading from a magnetic compass, a rate-gyro and two encoders mouned on the robot wheels, thereby computing the deat-reckoned location. These data and the position data provoded by LBL system are fused together by means of an extended Kalman filter. This algorithm is proved by simulation studies.

  • Surveillance has become one of promising application areas of wireless sensor networks which allow for pervasive monitoring of concerned environmental phenomena by facilitating context awareness through sensor fusion. Existing systems that depend on a postmortem context analysis of sensor data on a centralized server expose several shortcomings, including a single point of failure, wasteful energy consumption due to unnecessary data transfer as well as deficiency of scalability. As an opposite direction, this paper proposes an energy-efficient distributed context-aware surveillance in which sensor nodes in the wireless sensor network collaborate with neighbors in a distributed manner to analyze and aware surrounding context. We design and implement multi-modal sensor stations for use as sensor nodes in our wireless sensor network implementing our distributed context awareness. This paper presents an initial experimental performance result of our proposed system. Results show that multi-modal sensor performance of our sensor station, a key enabling factor for distributed context awareness, is comparable to each independent sensor setting. They also show that its initial performance of context-awareness is satisfactory for a set of introductory surveillance scenarios in the current interim stage of our ongoing research.

  • Recently, the enormous increase in the volume of remotely sensed data is being acquired by an ever-growing number of earth observation satellites. The combining of diversely sourced imagery together is an important requirement in many applications such as data fusion, city modeling and object recognition. Aerial triangulation is a procedure to reconstruct object space from imagery. However, since the different kinds of imagery have their own sensor model, characteristics, and resolution, the previous approach in aerial triangulation (or georeferencing) is performed on a sensor model separately. This study evaluated the advantages of aerial triangulation of large number of images from multi-sensors simultaneously. The incorporated multi-sensors are frame, push broom, and whisky broom cameras. The limits and problems of push-broom or whisky broom sensor models can be compensated by combined triangulation with frame imagery and vise versa. The reconstructed object space from multi-sensor triangulation is more accurate than that from a single model. Experiments conducted in this study show the more accurately reconstructed object space from multi-sensor triangulation.

Multiple Color and ToF Camera System for 3D Contents Generation

  • In this paper, we present a multi-depth generation method using a time-of-flight (ToF) fusion camera system. Multi-view color cameras in the parallel type and ToF depth sensors are used for 3D scene capturing. Although each ToF depth sensor can measure the depth information of the scene in real-time, it has several problems to overcome. Therefore, after we capture low-resolution depth images by ToF depth sensors, we perform a post-processing to solve the problems. Then, the depth information of the depth sensor is warped to color image positions and used as initial disparity values. In addition, the warped depth data is used to generate a depth-discontinuity map for efficient stereo matching. By applying the stereo matching using belief propagation with the depth-discontinuity map and the initial disparity information, we have obtained more accurate and stable multi-view disparity maps in reduced time.

  • Recently, research has been actively conducted to overcome the limitations of high-priced single sensors and reduce costs through the convergence of low-cost multi-variable sensors. This paper estimates state variables through asynchronous Kalman filters constructed using CVXPY and uses Cvxpylayers to compare and learn state variables estimated from CVXPY with true value data to estimate filter parameters of low-cost sensors fusion.

  • In this study, by utilizing the information fusion of multi sensor data and time within the crosswalk safety Assistive gait secondary to the safety of pedestrians on the system design and system performance verification through support to. Environmental awareness, and time information in addition to leveraging the default behavior for pedestrian safety design of the secondary system performed a study on the scenario and the behavior of a system for fuzzy control was performed for each sensor data processing, median filtering, including filters processing leveraging, and was attached by the time we complete the final algorithm, the system behavior. In addition, taking advantage of the sensor measurements, so basically uncertainties and sensor results, and you want to give at least the reliability of the data fusion experiment equipment using this simple verification.

  • This paper presents the results of study for improving the reliability of quadrotor attitude control by applying a multi-sensor along with a data fusion algorithm. First, a mathematical model of the quadrotor dynamics was developed. Then, using the quadrotor mathematical model, simulations were performed using the improved reliability multi-sensor data as the inputs. From the simulation results, we designed a Gimbal-equipped quadrotor system. With the quadrotor in a hover state, we performed experiments according to the angle change of the user's specifications. We then calculated the attitude control data from the actual experimental data. Furthermore, with additional simulations, we verified the performance of the designed quadrotor attitude control system with multiple sensors.

  • We propose the specialized product-line development methodology for developing the embedded system of an MSDFS (Multi Sensor Data Fusion System : called MSDFS). The product-line methodology provides a simultaneous design between software and hardware, high level reusability. However this is insufficient in requirement analysis stage due to be focused on software architecture, detailed design and code. Thus we apply the business model based on IDEF0 technique to traditional methodology. In this paper, we describe the processes of developing Core-Asset, which are requirement analysis, feature modeling, validation. The proposed model gives the efficient result for eliciting features, and ensures the high level reusability of modules performing on embedded system.
