In this paper, we propose a method for recognizing printed Korean characters using the Preceding Layer Driven multi-layer perceptron. The new learning algorithm which assigns the weight values to an integer and makes use of the transfer function as the step function was presented to design the hardware. We obtained 522 Korean character-image as an experimental object through scanner with 600DPI resolution. The preprocessing for feature extraction of Korean character is the separation of individual character, noise elimination smoothing, thinnig, edge point extraction, branch point extraction, and stroke segmentation. The used feature data are the number of edge points and their shapes, the number of branch points, and the number of strokes with 8 directions.
We present spatial variations of chemical abundances ([Fe/H] and [α/Fe]) in the Galactic disk, using a large number of dwarfs and giants from Large Sky Area Multi-object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST). Specifically, we investigate how the metallicity distribution function (MDF) and the alpha abundance distribution function (ADF) change with the distance from the Galactic center to understand the chemical evolution history of the Galactic disk. We also study the difference (if any) in the MDF and ADF between dwarfs and giants to provide valuable clues to the formation history of the Galactic disk.
When video composes mise-en-scene during the performance, it reflects the aspect of contemporary image culture, where the individual as creator joins in the image culture through the device of cell phone and computer remediating the former video technology. It also closely related with the contemporary theatre culture in which 1960's and 1970's video art was weaved into the contemporary performance theatre. With these cultural background, theatre practitioners regarded media-friendly mise-en-scene as an alternative facing the cultural landscape the linear representational narrative did not correspond to the present culture. Nonetheless, it can not be ignored that video in the performance theatre is remediating its historical function: to criticize the social reality. to enrich the aesthetic or emotional reality. I focused video in the performance theatre could feature the object with the image by realizing the realtime relay, emphasizing the situation within the frame, and strengthening the reality by alluding the object as a gesutre. So I explored its two historical manuel. First, video recorded the spot, communicated the information, and arose the audience's recognition of the object to its critical function. Second, video in performance theatre could redistribute perceptual way according to the editing method like as close up, slow motion, multiple perspective, montage and collage, and transformation of the image to the aesthetic function. Reminding the historical function of video in contemporary performance theatre, I analyzed two shows, Schaubuhne's Hamlet and Lenea de Sombra's Amarillo which were introduced to Korean audiences during the 2010 Seoul Theatre Olympics. It is known to us that Ostermeir found real social reality as a text and made the play the context. In this, he used video as a vehicle to penetrate the social reality through the hero's perspective. It is also noteworthy that Ostermeir understood Hamlet's dilemma as these days' young generation's propensity. They delayed action while being involved in image culture. Besides his use of video in the piece revitalized the aesthetic function of video by hypermedial perceptual method. Amarillo combined documentary theatre method with installation, physical theatre, and video relay on the spot, and activated aesthetic function with the intermediality, its interacting co-relationship between the media. In this performance theatre, video has recorded and pursued the absent presence of the real people who died or lost in the desert. At the same time it fantasized the emotional aspect of the people at the moment of their death, which would be opaque or non prominent otherwise. As a conclusion, I found the video in contemporary performance theatre visualized the rupture between the media and perform their intermediality. It attempted to disturb the transparent immediacy to invoke the spectator's perception to the theatrical situation, to open its emotional and spiritual aspect, and to remind the realities as with Schaubuhne's Hamlet and Lenea de Sombra's Amarillo.

In this paper, we describe the correlation processing method of multi-polarization observation data of the Daejeon Correlator. VLBI observations include single or multiple polarized observations depending on the type of object. Polarization observations are performed to observe the characteristics of the object. During the observations of the celestial object, polarization measurements are also performed to determine the delay values and causes of changes in the object. Correlation processing of polarization observation data of the Daejeon correlator is proposed by OCTAVIA of a synchronous reproduction processing apparatus that outputs data input to each antenna unit by using an output bit selection function to convert bits and the order of the data streams is changed, And the input of the Daejeon correlator is configured to perform the polarization correlation processing by conducting correlation processing by setting the existing stream number to be the same. Correlation processing is conducted on the test data observed for the polarization correlation processing and it is verified through experiments that the polarization correlation processing method of the proposed Daejeon correlator is effective.

We propose a knowledge-based algorithm for extracting an object boundary from low-quality image like the forward looking infrared image. With the multi-classes training data set, the global shape is modeled by multispace KL(MKL)[1] and curvature model. And the objective function for fitting the deformable boundary template represented by the shape model to true boundary in an input image is formulated by Bales rule. Simulation results show that our method has more accurateness in case of multi-classes training set and performs better in the sense of computation cost than point distribution model(PDM)[2]. It works well in distortion under the noise, pose variation and some kinds of occlusions.
This study presents about the method of alternatives selection by considering wall performance and interior design. Wall is selected fur the object and 3 items of cost, performance, and design as the objective function for optimizing are determined. Thus the wall performance selected problems, which are improvement of insulation performance, sweaty prevention, sound insulation performance and design selected problems, which is satisfactory Improvement of users about Interior design. It is important to select alternatives that can satisfy the performance and design on the capital given as much as possible. But quantitative problem such as performance or expanses and qualitative problem such as design are not in the same dimension. Therefore this problem is a multi-criteria optimization problem and also has used AHP method as the method to solve these. Moreover GA is used to solve a problem of the alternatives occurrence, which is the characteristic of multi-criteria problem. This study presents the solution method on multi-criteria problem that has been mix loaded of quantitative problem and qualitative problem by using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and GA(Genetic Algorithm).

In order to analyze the motion errors of the aerostatic stage, it is necessary to consider the influence of the moment variation occurred inside the pads. In this paper, a motion error analysis method utilizing the transfer functions on the reaction force and moment is proposed, and general characteristics of the transfer functions are discussed. Calculated motion errors by the proposed method show good agreement with the ones calculated by Multi fad Method, which is considered the entire table as an analysis object. Also, by the introduction of the transfer function of motion errors, which represent the relationship between the spatial frequency components of the rail form error and motion errors, motional characteristics of the porous aerostatic stage can be generalized. In detail, the influence of the spatial frequencies is analyzed qualitatively, and the patterns of the insensitive frequencies which almost do not affect the linear motion error or angular motion error according to the rail length ratio and the number of the pad are verified. The relationship between the moment variation occurred inside the pads and the motion errors is also verified together.

One of the main functions of the 4D system includes visualizing numerical schedule data in construction. The existing 4D tools have an excellent function for simulating building projects that all activities are progressed according to vertical work zone. However, it is not easy to implement all of it in the civil engineering project because the construction activities of highway and railway projects are progressed on the horizontal work zone and the 4D simulation for those projects should include earthwork objects that depend on the natural ground condition. This study suggests a new methodology for improving those limitations of 4D system for the civil engineering project and develops a new system by the suggested methodology. To verify the developed system, this study attempts to simulate 4D object for horizontal elements such as earthwork, paving work and tunneling work. The morphing and multi-texturing techniques developed in the study can be new approaches to simulate 4D object for the earthwork such as cutting and banking whose activities are progressed on the natural ground condition. The research results can be expected as a draft function for improving the application of 4D system in civil engineering projects.

In this paper, we propose a method to reconstruct accurate 3D shape object by using multi-view images which are disturbed by motion blur. In multi-view deblurring, more precise PSF estimation can be done by using the geometric relationship between multi-view images. The proposed method first estimates initial 2D PSFs from individual input images. Then 3D PSF candidates are projected on the input images one by one to find the best one which are mostly consistent with the initial 2D PSFs. 3D PSF consists with direction and density and it represents the 3D trajectory of object motion. 야to restore 3D shape by using multi-view images computes the similarity map and estimates the position of 3D point. The estimated 3D PSF is again projected to input images and they replaces the intial 2D PSFs which are finally used in image deblurring. Experimental result shows that the quality of image deblurring and 3D reconstruction improves significantly compared with the result when the input images are independently deblurred.

We propose the Sparse Feature Convolutional Neural Network (SFCNN) to reduce the volume of convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Despite the superior classification performance of CNNs, their enormous network volume requires high computational cost and long processing time, making real-time applications such as online-training difficult. We propose an advanced network that reduces the volume of conventional CNNs by producing a region-based sparse feature map. To produce the sparse feature map, two complementary region-based value extraction methods, cluster max extraction and local value extraction, are proposed. Cluster max is selected as the main function based on experimental results. To evaluate SFCNN, we conduct an experiment with two conventional CNNs. The network trains 59 times faster and tests 81 times faster than the VGG network, with a 1.2% loss of accuracy in multi-class classification using the Caltech101 dataset. In vehicle classification using the GTI Vehicle Image Database, the network trains 88 times faster and tests 94 times faster than the conventional CNNs, with a 0.1% loss of accuracy.
