멀티모달 가이던스가 독보 기능 습득에 미치는 영향: 드럼 타격 시퀀스에서의 사례 연구 (Effects of Multi-modal Guidance for the Acquisition of Sight Reading Skills: A Case Study with Simple Drum Sequences)

  • We introduce a learning system for the sight reading of simple drum sequences. Sight reading is a cognitive-motor skill that requires reading of music symbols and actions of multiple limbs for playing the music. The system provides knowledge of results (KR) pertaining to the learner's performance by color-coding music symbols, and guides the learner by indicating the corresponding action for a given music symbol using additional auditory or vibrotactile cues. To evaluate the effects of KR and guidance cues, three learning methods were experimentally compared: KR only, KR with auditory cues, and KR with vibrotactile cues. The task was to play a random 16-note-long drum sequence displayed on a screen. Thirty university students learned the task using one of the learning methods in a between-subjects design. The experimental results did not show statistically significant differences between the methods in terms of task accuracy and completion time.

  • In the previous study, a simple but effective analysis procedure, named as an Improved Modal Pushover Analysis (IMPA) was proposed to estimates the seismic capacities of multi-span continuous bridge structures, on the basis of the modal pushover analysis which considers all the dynamic modes of a structure. Differently from other previous studies, IMPA maintains the simplicity of the capacity-demand curve method and also gives a better estimation of the maximum dynamic response of a structure. Nevertheless, its applicability has never been approved for multi-span continuous bridges with large differences in the length of their adjacent piers. This paper, accordingly, concentrates on a parametric study to verify the efficiency and limitation in application of IMPA through a correlation study between various analytical models including the Equivalent Single Degree Of Freedom (ESDOF) and Modal Pushover Analysis (MPA) usually used in the seismic design of structures. Based on the obtained numerical results, this paper introduces a practical guidance and/or limitation for using IMPA to predict the seismic response of a bridge effectively.

  • In the companion paper, a simple but effective analysis procedure termed an Improved Modal Pushover Analysis (IMPA) is proposed to estimate the seismic capacities of multi-span continuous bridge structures on the basis of the modal pushover analysis, which considers all the dynamic modes of a structure. In contrast to previous studies, the IMPA maintains the simplicity of the capacity-demand curve method and gives a better estimation of the maximum dynamic response in a bridge structure. Nevertheless, to verify its applicability, additional parametric studies for multi-span continuous bridges with large differences in the length of adjacent piers are required. 전차륜 조향 장치를 장착한 굴절궤도 차량의 주행특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Characteristics of the Bi-modal Tram with All-Wheel-Steering System)

  • The bi-modal tram guided by the magnetic guidance system has two car-bodies and three axles. Each axle of the vehicle has an independent suspension to lower the floor of the car and improve ride quality. The turning radius of the vehicle may increase as a consequence of the long wheel base. Therefore, the vehicle is equipped with the All-Wheel-Steering(AWS) system for safe driving on a curved road. Front and rear axles should be steered in opposite directions, which means a negative mode, to minimize the turning radius. On the other hand, they also should be steered in the same direction, which means a positive mode, for the stopping mode. Moreover, only the front axle is steered for stability of the vehicle upon high-speed driving. In summary, steering angles and directions of the each axle should be changed according to the driving environment and steering mode. This paper proposes an appropriate AWS control algorithm for stable driving of the bi-modal tram. Furthermore, a multi-body model of the vehicle is simulated to verify the suitability of the algorithm. This model can also analyze the different dynamic characteristics between 2WS and AWS.

  • 본 논문은 HTML을 분석하여 추출된 내용을 음성으로 변환시키고, 웹 브라우저 제어 및 웹문서의 내용 지정을 위하여 음성인식을 사용하는 음성 웹 부라우저의 설계와 구현에 관한 것이다. 이 시스템의 특징은 보편적 설계기법을 사용하여 정상인과 시각장애인을 모두 고려하여 설계되었으며, 특히 시각장애인 인터페이스를 위하여 웹 문서의 구조를 쉽게 인식할 수 있는 트리 구조를 도입하였고, 웹 브라우저 상에 태그로 표현된 모든 요소를 추출하고, 각 요소에 따라 출력음성의 속성을 다르게 하여 별도의 요소 안내음성 출력이 없이 요소 특성을 인지할 수 있게 하였다. 이 방식은 음성 특징을 세부적으로 표현할 수 있는 청각 스타일 시트의 사용을 배제한 것으로써 웹 문서 작성자가 특별한 추가적 노력 없이, 사용자가 문서내의 구조와 요소들의 특징을 쉽게 인식할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • 본 논문은 도로와 철도를 포함하는 인터모달 자동화물운송시스템을 위한 화물열차 대차 구조를 소개하고, 레일에 대한 반력 해석 결과를 논한다. 새로운 운송시스템은 시간과 비용을 획기적으로 절약할 수 있는 회전 정렬형 철도차량 방식을 기반으로 한다. 개념 설계 단계에서 고려해야하는 중요한 문제 중의 하나는 궤도 및 대차의 특징적인 형태에서 발생하는 레일에 가해지는 횡력이다. 특히 주행 궤도에서 플랫폼 구간으로 바뀌는 천이구간에서 큰 횡력이 발생하는데, 해석 결과를 바탕으로 향후 시스템 설계 시 참조할 수 있는 설계 가이드를 제공하고자 한다. 해석 결과, 제안하는 구조가 궤도 안정성 및 주행 안정성 면에서 문제가 없어 실제 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 구조이며, 주행 구간에서 플랫폼 구간으로 궤도가 변하는 곳에서 궤도의 선형을 설계할 시, 곡률 반경과 플랫폼 궤도 사이 거리가 중요한 변수임을 밝혀졌다.
