As an essential means of generator voltage regulation, excitation control plays an important role in controlling the stability of the power system. Therefore, the reasonable design of an excitation controller can help improve the system stability. In order to raise the robustness of the generator exciting system under outside interference and parametric perturbation and eliminate chattering in the sliding mode control, this paper presents a generator excitation control based on the quasi-sliding mode pseudo-variable structure control. A mathematical model of the synchronous generator is established by selecting its power, speed and voltage deviation as state variables. Then, according to the existing conditions of the quasi-sliding mode, a quasi-sliding mode pseudo-variable structure controller is designed, and the parameters of the controller are obtained with the method of pole configuration. Simulations show that compared with the existing methods, the proposed method is not only useful for accurate voltage regulation, but also beneficial to improving the robustness of the system at a time when perturbance happens in the system.
Failure assessment of steam generator tube are very important for the integrity of energy plants. In pipes of energy plants, sometimes, the local wall thinning may result from severe erosion-corrosion damage. Recently, the effects of local wall thinning on fracture strength and fracture behavior of piping system have been well studied. In this paper, the elasto-plastic analysis is performed by FE code ANSIS on steam generator tube with wall thinning. We evaluated the failure mode, fracture strength and fracture behavior from FE analysis. It was possible to predict the crack initiation point by estimating true fracture ductility under multi-axial stress conditions at the center of the thinned area.
An experiment was performed for the OECD/NEA ROSA-2 Project with the large-scale test facility (LSTF), which simulated a steam generator tube rupture (SGTR) accident due to a double-ended guillotine break of one of steam generator (SG) U-tubes with operator recovery actions in a pressurized water reactor. The relief valve of broken SG opened three times after the start of intact SG secondary-side depressurization as the recovery action. Multi-dimensional phenomena specific to the SGTR accident appeared such as significant thermal stratification in a cold leg in broken loop especially during the operation of high-pressure injection (HPI) system. The RELAP5/MOD3.3 code overpredicted the broken SG secondary-side pressure after the start of the intact SG secondary-side depressurization, and failed to calculate the cold leg fluid temperature in broken loop. The combination of the number of the ruptured SG tubes and the HPI system operation difference was found to significantly affect the primary and SG secondary-side pressures through sensitivity analyses with the RELAP5 code.

In this paper, a systematic and statistical calibration technique was implemented to calibrate a high-speed signal converting system containing multiple digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The systematic error (especially the imbalance between DACs) in the current combining network of the multi-DAC system was modeled and corrected by calculating the path coefficients for individual DACs with wideband reference signals. Furthermore, by applying a Kalman filter to suppress noise from quantization and clock jitter, accurate coefficients with minimum noise were identified. For correcting an arbitrary waveform generator with two DACs, a co-simulation platform was implemented to estimate the system degradation and its corrected performance. Simulation results showed that after correction with 4.8 Gbps QAM signal, the signal-to-noise-ratio improved by approximately 4.5 dB and the error-vector-magnitude improved from 4.1% to 1.12% over 0.96 GHz bandwidth.
Since the fuel cell uses the hydrogen for its fuel. it has no emission and higher efficiency than an internal combustion engine. Also fuel cell is much quieter than engine generator and generates heat much less than engine generator. So it has advantage of Army's 'si lent watch' capability and the ability to operate undetected by the enemy. The fuel cell hybrid system combines a fuel cell power system with an ESS. The ESS (e.g., batteries or ultracapacitors) reduces the fuel cell's peak power and transient response requirements. It allows the fuel cell to operate more efficiently and recovery of vehicle energy during deceleration. The battery has high energy density, so it has the advantage regarding driving distance. However, it has a disadvantage considering dynamic characteristic because of low power density. One other hand. the ultracapacitor has higher power density, so it can handle sudden change or discharge of required power. Yet. it has lower energy density. so it will be bigger and heavier than the battery when it has the same energy. This paper proposes the power management strategy for multi-power source fuel cell hybrid system. which is applied with the merits of both battery and ultra capacitor by using both of them simultaneous.

A resonance linear electric generator in a vehicle suspension is a system that performs self-electric generation by collecting the vibration energy when a vehicle runs on a road, and takes the resonance phenomenon to derive large electric generation from slight road surface vibrations. In this paper, the motions of an armature in three different electric generator structures were simulated and the actual generation quantity was calculated and compared with these results. Furthermore, when the vehicle runs on the road, the design improvement for a multi-degree of freedom electric generator was conducted to make the resonance respond to various excitation frequencies, and the change in the resonance points and generation quantity were identified.

In this paper I designed test pattern generator which will be completely detected the faults of multi-stage Logic Circuit. 1 generated this pattern using the test pattern generation Logic Circuit. The generated test patterns compared with the exhausted testing was decreased pattern. This test pattern generator will detect the all single stuck-at faults in the multi-stage Logic Circuit. The choice of which of the many I.C testing methods to use can have a effect on the success or failure of the fault detected. One of the most important considerations is cost and designed test pattern generator is very low cost type.
This paper investigated the real-time generator swing prediction by some researchers. And the first swing stability assessment based on EAC(Equal-Area Criterion) by using phasor measurement unit is proposed. Also we proposed the multi-swing prediction techniques, which is to estimate system parameters by using least square method / extrapolation with phasor measurement units. And the multi-swing prediction is performed with the estimated parameters. Future works are necessary to verify the proposed approaches in this paper.
The Conventional time-domain simulation of transient stability requires iterative calculation procedures to consider the saliency of generator. Recently, a non-iterative algorithm has successfully developed to take into account the generator saliency exactly with the use of $E_q'$-model. This study proposes an extended non-iterative algorithm by adopting the two-axis generator model. Given internal voltages and rotor angles of the generators, network voltages and generator currents can be directly calculated by solving a linear algebraic equation, which enables us to reduce the computation time remarkably.
A tensor is a multi-dimensional array that represents many data such as (user, user, time) in the social network system. A tensor generator is an important tool for multi-dimensional data mining research with various applications including simulation, multi-dimensional data modeling/understanding, and sampling/extrapolation. However, existing tensor generators cannot generate sparse tensors like real-world tensors that obey power law. In addition, they have limitations such as tensor sizes that can be processed and additional time required to upload generated tensor to distributed systems for further analysis. In this study, we propose TeT, a distributed tera-scale tensor generator to solve these problems. TeT generates sparse random tensor as well as sparse R-MAT and Kronecker tensor without any limitation on tensor sizes. In addition, a TeT-generated tensor is immediately ready for further tensor analysis on the same distributed system. The careful design of TeT facilitates nearly linear scalability on the number of machines.
