Multi-Attribute Data Fusion for Energy Equilibrium Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • Data fusion is an attractive technology because it allows various trade-offs related to performance metrics, e.g., energy, latency, accuracy, fault-tolerance and security in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Under a complicated environment, each sensor node must be equipped with more than one type of sensor module to monitor multi-targets, so that the complexity for the fusion process is increased due to the existence of various physical attributes. In this paper, we first investigate the process and performance of multi-attribute fusion in data gathering of WSNs, and then propose a self-adaptive threshold method to balance the different change rates of each attributive data. Furthermore, we present a method to measure the energy-conservation efficiency of multi-attribute fusion. Based on our proposed methods, we design a novel energy equilibrium routing method for WSNs, viz., multi-attribute fusion tree (MAFT). Simulation results demonstrate that MAFT achieves very good performance in terms of the network lifetime.

2 자유도 자동손목관절을 가진 근전 전동의수 개발 (Development of the Myoelectric Hand with a 2 DOF Auto Wrist Module)

  • An essential consideration to differentiate prosthetic hand from robot hand is its convenience and usefulness rather than high resolution or multi-function of the robot hand. Therefore, this study proposes a myoelectric hand with a 2 DOF auto wrist module which has 6 essential functions of the human hand such as open, grasp, pronation, supination, extension, flexion, which improves the convenience of the daily life. It consists of the 3 main parts, the myoelectric sensor for input signal without additional attachment to operate the prosthetic hand, hand mechanism with high-torqued auto-transmission mechanism and self-locking module which guarantee the safety under the abrupt emergency and minimum power consumption, and dual threshold based controller to make easy for adopting the multi-DOF myoelectric hand. We prove the validity of the proposed system with experimental results.

Optical Filter Design for Fluorescence Technique Based Phycocyanin Measurement Sensor Used In Water Treatment Plants

  • Recently the water management department advised the water treatment industry to focus on deploy the chemical free and the environmentally responsible process to adopt on water treatment plants in every country. In this objective, water treatment process started using ultrasonic based phycocyanin extraction with fluorescence measurement techniques to detect the change in the yield of phycocyanin. This paper propose the design of optical filter model for fluorescence technique based immersive optical phycocyanin measurement sensor design. The proposed design uses the multi-wavelength sensor module for irradiating part, and this plays a role of removing a wavelength band other than 590 ~ 620 nm. The preliminary study on immersed phycocyanin sensor, the fluorescence value of picocyanin according to the ultrasonic intensity, treatment time and number of cells was measured using JM phycocyanin module to emulate the proposed design, and were compared performance of the proposed sensor emulation. In this design, the phycocyanin fluorescence value increased about 2.1 ~ 4.7 times as the ultrasonic treatment time increased as compared with JM phycocyanin module, and the phycocyanin fluorescence value within the analysis range was obtained by ultrasonic treatment within one minute.

  • This paper presents a design experience of a control language for coordination of a multi-robot system. To effectively program job commands, a Petrinet-type Graphical Robot Language(PGRL) is proposed, where some functions, such as concurrency and synchronization, for coordination among tasks can be easily programmed.In our system, the proposed task commands of PGRL are implemented by employing formal model languages, which are composed of three modules, sensory, data handling, and action module. It is expected that by using our proposed PGRL and formal languages, one can easily describe a job or task, and hence can effectively operate a complex real-time and concurrent system. The control system is being implemented by using VME-based 32-bit microprocessor boards for supervisory, each module controller(arm, hand, leg, sensor data processing module) and a real time multi-tasking operating system(VxWorks).   • 최근 자동차 및 자동화 등 많은 첨단 산업분야에서 산업용 모터 정밀 제어를 위한 인버터의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 FPGA를 이용하여 단일 제어 유닛으로 여러 개의 모터를 제어할 수 있는 SVPWM 모듈을 설계 제작하여 모터 정밀제어에 응용하고자 한다. 개발된 WVPWM 모듈에는 PWM 발생기뿐만 아니라 위치 및 전류센서 처리 부분과 데프타임 보상기 알고리즘도 함께 구현되었다. 개발 툴은 ALTERA Quartus 8.0을 사용하였으며 시뮬레이션에 의해 동작 특성을 검증하였고 실험을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 산업체 공장 환경에서 장비의 상태를 감시하기 위해 무선 다중 센서 모듈을 이용한 상황인지 시스템을 제안한다. 무선 다중 센서 모듈은 가속도, 압력, 온도, 가스의 센서를 이용해 센싱 값을 수집 및 통합하고, 이 센싱 정보를 RS코드를 이용해 부호화 한 후 서버로 전송한다. RS디코더는 서버에 수신된 데이터들을 원래의 데이터로 복원하고, 이때 무선 통신 과정에서 발생한 오류를 복구하게 된다. 복원된 정보를 기반으로 상황인지 알고리즘에서는 임계값을 설정하고, 이후 센서의 센싱 정보들과 임계값을 비교하여 센싱 정보가 임계값의 범위를 벗어나면 이벤트를 생성하고, 대기시간 T초 동안 다른 센서에 장애가 발생하면 상황에 맞는 3단계의 알람을 발생시킨다. 실험결과를 통해 이 시스템이 상태감시에 효과적임을 확인하였다.

Implementation of Falling Accident Monitoring and Prediction System using Real-time Integrated Sensing Data

  • In 2015, the number of senior citizens aged 65 and over in Korea was 6,662,400, accounting for 13.1% of the total population. Along with these social phenomena, risk information related to the elderly is increasing every year. In particular, a fall accident caused by a fall can cause serious injury to an elderly person, so special attention is required. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented a system that monitors fall accidents and informs them in real time to minimize damage caused by falls. To this end, beacon-based indoor location positioning was performed and biometric information based on an integrated module was collected using various sensors. In other words, a multi-functional sensor integration module was designed based on Arduino to collect and monitor user's temperature, heart rate, and motion data in real time. Finally, through the analysis and prediction of measurement signals from the integrated module, damage from fall accidents can be reduced and rapid emergency treatment is possible. Through this, it is possible to reduce the damage caused by a fall accident, and rapid emergency treatment will be possible. In addition, it is expected to lead a new paradigm of safety systems through expansion and application to socially vulnerable groups.

  • This study proposes a new approach to Control the Orientation and position based on obstacle avoidance technology by multi sensors fusion and autonomous travelling control of mobile robot system for implimentation of Smart FA. The important focus is to control mobile robot based on by the multiple sensor module for autonomous travelling and obstacle avoidance of proposed mobile robot system, and the multiple sensor module is consit with sonar sensors, psd sensors, color recognition sensors, and position recognition sensors. Especially, it is proposed two points for the real time implementation of autonomous travelling control of mobile robot in limited manufacturing environments. One is on the development of the travelling trajectory control algorithm which obtain accurate and fast in considering any constraints. such as uncertain nonlinear dynamic effects. The other is on the real time implementation of obstacle avoidance and autonomous travelling control of mobile robot based on multiple sensors. The reliability of this study has been illustrated by the computer simulation and experiments for autonomous travelling control and obstacle avoidance.

ZigBee 통신 및 다중센서를 이용한 방범.방재 시스템 개발 (The devepoement of a raid and fire preventable system using the Zigbee communication and multi-sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.15.4 무선통신 표준으로 개발된 ZigBee 모듈과 다중센서를 이용하여 방범 방재 상황을 무선으로 Display하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 방범 시스템은 초음파, 적외선 센서를 이용하여 감지 시스템을 구현하였고, 메인칩으로는 PIC16F73을 사용하였다. 전등을 연결, 자동 전등 ON/OFF를 구현하였다. 방재 시스템은 온도센서를 이용하여 구현하였다. ATmega64를 사용한 무선통신모듈인 ZigBee 시스템과 다중센서를 연동하여 방범, 방재 시스템을 구현하여 감지된 데이터를 EndDevice에서 Coordinator로 전송하여 Coordinator에서 전송 받은 데이터를 PC에 Display 할 수 있도록 구현하였다.
