In a virtual community, one can possess multiple identities and pretend to be different by creating self-identity in contrast with his or her actual self. Does false identity undermine the qualitative growth of a virtual community by reducing members' accountability? Or does it stimulate their contributive behaviors by ensuring freedom of speech? It is imperative to understand the effects of multi-identity considering the distinct properties of a virtual community in which people easily change their identities at little or no cost. To answer these questions, we adopted the concept of self-discrepancy from the social psychology theory rooted in the concept of the self and developed a theoretical model to predict quality of contribution of the individual member in virtual communities. Based on the self-discrepancy theory, we first identified two different domains of the self: (1) an "actual self" that consists of attributes that the person believes he or she currently possesses in real life and (2) a "cyber self" that consists of attributes the person believes he or she possesses in a virtual community. Next, we derived an index for two different types of self-discrepancy by using the differences between the actual and the cyber identities: Personal Self-discrepancy and Social Self-discrepancy. Personal Self-discrepancy reflects the degree of discrepancy between actual and cyber identity regarding a person's intelligence, education, and expertise. Social Self-discrepancy reflects the degree of discrepancy between actual and cyber identity regarding a person's morality, sociability, and accordance with social norms. Finally, we linked them with sense of virtual community, perceived privacy rights, and quality of contribution to examine how having a multi-identity influences an individual's psychological state and contributive behaviors in a virtual community. The results of the analysis based on 266 respondents showed that Social Self-discrepancy negatively influenced both the Sense of Virtual Community and Perceived Privacy Rights, while Personal Self-discrepancy negatively influenced only Perceived Privacy Rights, thereby resulting in reduced quality of contribution in virtual communities. Based on the results of this analysis, we can explain the dysfunctions of multi-identity in virtual communities. First, people who pretend to be different by engaging in socially undesirable behaviors under their alternative identities are more likely to suffer lower levels of psychological wellbeing and thus experience lower levels of sense of virtual community than others. Second, people do not perceive a high level of privacy rights reflecting catharsis, recovery, or autonomy, even though they create different selves and engage in socially undesirable behaviors in a virtual community. Third, people who pretend to be different persons in terms of their intelligence, education, or expertise also indirectly debase the quality of contribution by decreasing perceived privacy rights. The results suggest that virtual community managers should pay more attention to the negative influences exercised by multi-identity on the quality of contribution, thereby controlling the need to create alternative identities in virtual communities. We hope that more research will be conducted on this underexplored area of multi-identity and that our theoretical framework will serve as a useful conceptual tool for all endeavors.
This study examines determining factors of effectiveness and satisfaction of Veteran Medical Service Delivery System. Especially, the association between the relevant variables of the effectiveness of the Veteran Medical Service Delivery System and the variables of the satisfaction from the perspective of beneficiaries was studied. Multi-level analysis was utilized to separate results of the evaluation of effectiveness in organizational-level and the evaluation of satisfaction in individual-level. This study tests key posited hypothesis by using survey data collected from 5 medical center of country(Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju). In terms of the result of the hypothesis testing on the effectiveness variable, integrity(${\beta}=.156$), accountability(${\beta}=.376$, financial sufficiency(${\beta}=.109$), and adequacy (${\beta}=.367$) are the determinants among various factors in evaluating veteran medical service delivery system, statistically reflecting the perception of directors of the veteran medical service delivery facilities on effectiveness. In other word, professionalism variable(${\beta}=0.99$) and effectiveness variable(${\beta}=-1.09$) are statistically reflecting the perception of directors of the beneficiaries satisfaction with employee. The findings suggests that the theoretical and practical implications will improve Effectiveness and Satisfaction of Veteran Medical Service Delivery System.
The Purposes of this study ar (1) to identify types and levels of channel conflicts between an apparel manufacturer and a franchised agency, (2) to investigate the effect of economic dependence on conflicts, and (3) to examine the effect of conflicts on satisfaction in a franchised agency's perspective in distributive channel of Korean apparel industry. For this study, questionnaires were administered to the owner or manager of 300 franchised agencies. Employing a sample of 209, data were analyzed by using means, factor analysis, pearson correlation and multi-regression analysis. Major findings are as follows: 1) Types of conflicts between apparel manufacturers and franchised agencies are identified as goal divergence, difference in perception, ineffective communication and lack of role clarity. The highest level of conflicts are lack of role clarity, followed by goal divergence, difference in perception and ineffective communication. 2) Economic dependence leads to channel conflicts in part. Greater levels of economic dependence foster greater conflicts such as lack of role clarity and lower conflicts such as ineffective communication. 3) With respect to effect of conflict on satisfaction, the greater the levels of conflict, the lower the degree of satisfaction with ole performance and with business decision and overall satisfaction.

The rapid development of information media in the 21th century has given rise to the acceleration of fashion change and its diversification due to individual lifestyle, the personification and differentiation of consumers. This has got away from the function-centeredness of clothing and awakened people to the important task of hi-tech new materials development and design development. We immediately need to develop the measure to cope quickly and properly with changes in the dwindled fabric market. Consumers; needs are personified and diversified and the cycle of fashion materials become curtailed. From this perspective, this study attempted to manufacture the material for capable of satisfying consumers; psychology and needs with the handicraft based on the multi-item and small-quantity production system. This study attempted to present the possibility of differentiating products and developing diverse materials by applying the Woolsmok technique. It is expected that the development of these materials will not simply stay at the level of handicraft but contribute to the competitive materials of creativity and aesthetics by inducing it to be applicable to the industrial world and activate them as differentiated high-grade clothing materials for consumers at home and abroad.

Risk evaluation approaches for bidding on international construction projects are typically partitioned into three stages: country selection, project classification, and bid-cost evaluation. However, previous studies are frequently under attack in that they have several crucial limitations: 1) a dearth of studies about country selection risk tailored for the overseas construction market at a corporate level; 2) no consideration of uncertainties for input variable per se; 3) less probabilistic approaches in estimating a range of cost variance; and 4) less inclusion of covariance impacts. This study thus suggests a three-staged risk evaluation model to resolve these inherent problems. In the first stage, a country portfolio model that maximizes the expected construction market growth rate and profit rate while decreasing market uncertainty is formulated using multi-objective genetic analysis. Following this, probabilistic approaches for screening bad projects are suggested through applying various data mining methods such as discriminant logistic regression, neural network, C5.0, and support vector machine. For the last stage, the cost overrun prediction model is simulated for determining a reasonable bid cost, while considering non-parametric distribution, effects of systematic risks, and the firm's specific capability accrued in a given country. Through the three consecutive models, this study verifies that international construction risk can be allocated, reduced, and projected to some degree, thereby contributing to sustaining stable profits and revenues in both the short-term and the long-term perspective.

Private financing is playing an increasing role in public infrastructure construction projects worldwide. However, private investors/operators are exposed to the financial risk of low profitability due to the inaccurate estimation of facility demand, operation income, maintenance costs, etc. From the operator's perspective, a sound and thorough financial feasibility study is required to establish the appropriate capital structure of a project. Operators tend to reduce the equity amount to minimize the level of risk exposure, while creditors persist to raise it, in an attempt to secure a sufficient level of financial involvement from the operators. Therefore, it is important for creditors and operators to reach an agreement for a balanced capital structure that synthetically considers both profitability and repayment capacity. This paper presents an optimal capital structure model for successful private infrastructure investment. This model finds the optimized point where the profitability is balanced with the repayment capacity, with the use of the concept of utility function and multi-objective GA (Generic Algorithm)-based optimization. A case study is presented to show the validity of the model and its verification. The research conclusions provide a proper capital structure for privately-financed infrastructure projects through a proposed multi-objective model.
The purpose of this study is to identify the multicultural competence of university students majoring in social welfare studies and to verify the influence of human rights attitude and spiritual intelligence that affect multicultural competence using structural equation model. Spiritual intelligence was set as an independent variable and multicultural competence was set as a dependent variable. Human rights attitude was established as a mediating variable. Study subjects were 259 university students majoring in social welfare studies at 5 universities in the Daegu, Gyoungbuk area. Spiritual intelligence and human rights attitude appeared to have a significant effect on multicultural competence, indicating that a higher level of spiritual intelligence and human rights attitude were correlated with a higher level of human rights attitude. Also in the pathway of spiritual intelligence on multicultural competence, human rights attitude had a significant mediating effect. When the university student majoring in social welfare studies had a high level of spiritual intelligence including transcendence and meaning and purpose of life, their perspective on human rights which is important in the practice of social welfare affected the multicultural competence required to assist immigrants of various identities. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended for the university students majoring in social welfare to have the "three-multi-sensitivities" including sensitivity of multicultural competence, sensitivity of spiritual intelligence, and sensitivity of human right attitude.
Wireless sensor network (WSN) technology has been implemented using commercial off-the-shelf microcontrollers (MCUs), In this paper, we propose a simulation environment to realize the physical evaluation of FPGA-based node by considering vertically cross-layered WSN in terms of physical node device and network interconnection perspective. The proposed simulation framework emulates the physical FPGA-based sensor nodes to interoperate with the NS3 through the runtime infrastructure (RTI). For the emulation and interoperation of FPGA-based nodes, we extend a vendor-providing FPGA design tool from the host computer and a script to execute the interoperation procedures. The standalone NS-3 is also revised to perform interoperation through the RTI. To resolve the different time-advance mechanisms between the FPGA emulation and event-driven NS3 simulation, the pre-simulation technique is applied to the proposed environment. The proposed environment is applied to IEEE 802.15.4-based low-rate, wireless personal area network communication.
Speculative execution for improving instruction-level parallelism is widely used in high-performance processors. In the speculative execution technique, the most important factor is the accuracy of branch predictor. Unfortunately, complex branch predictors for improving the accuracy can cause serious thermal problems in 3D multicore processors. Thermal problems have negative impact on the processor performance. This paper analyzes two methods to solve the thermal problems in the branch predictor of 3D multi-core processors. First method is dynamic thermal management which turns off the execution of the branch predictor when the temperature of the branch predictor exceeds the threshold. Second method is thermal-aware branch predictor placement policy by considering each layer's temperature in 3D multi-core processors. According to our evaluation, the branch predictor placement policy shows that average temperature is $87.69^{\circ}C$, and average maximum temperature gradient is $11.17^{\circ}C$. And, dynamic thermal management shows that average temperature is $89.64^{\circ}C$ and average maximum temperature gradient is $17.62^{\circ}C$. Proposed branch predictor placement policy has superior thermal efficiency than the dynamic thermal management. In the perspective of performance, the proposed branch predictor placement policy degrades the performance by 3.61%, while the dynamic thermal management degrades the performance by 27.66%.

As autonomous driving technology advances, the accuracy of the vehicle position is important for recognizing the environments around driving. Map-matching localization techniques based on high definition (HD) maps have been studied to improve localization accuracy. Because conventional map-matching techniques estimate the vehicle position based on an HD map reference dataset representing the center of the lane, the estimated position does not reflect the deviation of the lateral distance within the lane. Therefore, this paper proposes a localization system based on the reference lateral position dataset extracted using image processing and HD maps. Image processing extracts the driving lane number using inverse perspective mapping, multi-lane detection, and yellow central lane detection. The lane departure method estimates the lateral distance within the lane. To collect the lateral position reference dataset, this approach involves two processes: (i) the link and lane node is extracted based on the lane number obtained from image processing and position from GNSS/INS, and (ii) the lateral position is matched with the extracted link and lane node. Finally, the vehicle position is estimated by matching the GNSS/INS local trajectory and the reference lateral position dataset. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated by experiments carried out on a highway environment. It was confirmed that the proposed method improves accuracy by about 1.0m compared to GNSS / INS, and improves accuracy by about 0.04m~0.21m (7~30%) for each section when compared with the existing lane-level map matching method.
