Energyplus를 이용한 고효율 멀티에어컨디셔너의 에너지절감 효과 분석 (A Study on analyze of energy saving rate by retrofitting multi air-conditioner from conventional type to high efficient type using Energyplus)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the energy saving rate by retrofitting multi air conditioner from conventional type to high efficient type using Energyplus 4.0 which was developed for simulating a building energy by D.O.E. Generally, Multi air conditioner system was installed for both the cooling and the heating in a building. However, it was difficult to estimate the energy saving rate in the case of retrofitting multi air conditioner from conventional type to high efficient type. In the present study, annual energy consumptions of them were evaluated for same building and climate condition.

  • Fault detection and diagnostic (FDD) systems have the potential to reduce equipment downtime, service costs, and utility costs. In this study, model based algorithm and fuzzy algorithm were used to detect and diagnose various fault at System multi-air conditioner. various fault include the Refrigerant Low charging, Fouling of Indoor Heat Exchanger, Fouling of Outdoor Heat Exchanger A experimental verification was conducted in the 6HP System multi-air conditioner on an 8-floor building. Test results showed diagnosis result about 78 $\~$ 90$\%$ for given faults. This Study lays the foundation fur future work on develope the real-time fault detection and diagnosis system for the System multi-air conditioner.

멀티형 에어컨의 기간에너지소비효율 평가규격에 관한 연구 (An Overview on Standards for Seasonal Performance Evaluation of Multi-type Air Conditioners)

  • Energy efficiency evaluation method for a multi-type air conditioning system still has not been developed. In this study, analysis on capacity range and evaluating method of standards for air conditioners was conducted with world-wide Standards. It is not a proper approach to use the standards for residential air conditioner to multi type air conditioners. Some difficulties and problems are commented in this study with overview of the standards. Through the analytic research, an evaluating method for multi type air conditioner was suggested with Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV). The suggested concept for evaluating energy efficiency during part load condition considers building load pattern and operating hours of the system at different locations. Load was weighted in IPLV to consider not only the concept of occurrence of outdoor temperature such as bin method but also operation hours of the system. An experiment about the IPLV was conducted with variable air volume ducted type air conditioning system and multi-type system through modified code tester to give a glance at quantitative value of the IPLV.

  • The heating and cooling performance of system multi-air conditioner under high-head and long-line conditions are experimentally investigated. The maximum head and tube length were 110 m and 1000 m, respectively. The experimental system was composed of 4 outdoor units with module systems, and 13 indoor units which were joined with the mode change unit by single-tube circuit. Field tests without indoor and outdoor temperature control were performed in a general office building with 22 different working conditions. Experimental results were prepared on the p-h diagram. Also the oil level in the compressor was normally maintained at the safety zone for the system multi-air conditioner with high-head and long-line conditions.

곡물빈용 공기조화장치의 퍼지제어기 개발 (Development of Fuzzy Controller for Air Conditioning of Grain Bin)

  • Temperature and humidity are the most important factors and should be effectively controlled for the cold storage of graius. Fuzzy logic can be easily implemented to the MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) control systems. For the cold storage in grain bin, fuzzy logic was applied to an air conditioning system. The capacities of the grain bin and the air conditioner are 80 tons and 30㎾, respectively. Also, the target values of temperature and relative humidity in outlet duct of the air conditioner were 8$\^{C}$ and 75%, respectively. In order to control temperature and relative humidity of air, a damper in inlet duct was manipulated for temperature control and a heater was used for humidity control. Temperature deviation and change of temperature deviation were used as input parameters for the fuzzy system. Humidity was only considered as a load. The experimental results showed that the controlled temperature of exhausted air was maintained at 8$\pm$2$\^{C}$. Relative humidity of the air was also controlled at the target relative humidity of 50∼80%.

  • In this paper, the control of the temperature for the vehicle air conditioner is implemented with the fuzzy controller using a micro controller. The linguistic control rules of the fuzzy controller are separated into two out variables(multi input multi output ; MIMO) : one is those for the blower motor, and the other is those for air mix door. The error in fuzzy controller, the input variable is defined as difference between the reference temperature and the actual temperature in the cabin room. The fuzzy control rules are established from the human operator experience, and based engineering knowledge about the process. The method of the center of gravity is utilized for the defuzzification.

Context Aware Services using Multi-Environmental Sensors and Its application for Ubiquitous Home Networks

  • As we go about our daily lives, people often collect surrounding information and adapt to the situation. Computer development trends show that one wants computers to work like human beings, i.e. computers can sense its context and adapt corresponding to context changes. To implement this expectation, a context aware service layer is needed. In this layer, sensors capture its environment and send this information to the service center. Considering received information as its context, the service center seeks the suitable operation according to the context. Tills paper presents a context aware service which is applied in controlling air-conditioner. The air-conditioner includes sensors which are installed at some special positions in a room. Each of these sensors gathers comfort-influenced information like temperature, humidity and sends them to air-conditioner. The air-conditioner adapts its operation to the environment according to the sensed information. To control the air-conditioner effectively, we use a genetic algorithm which is suitable in adaptation issues. The simulation shows that the room condition can be maintained at a comfortable level by using context-aware services in the operation of the air-conditioning system.

멀티에어컨의 성능해석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Simulation Program for Multi-Air conditioner)

  • In this study, theoretical simulation method for the steady state characteristics of a refrigeration cycle which consists of one condenser and multi-evaporator (Multi-air conditioner) is presented. The simulation was performed for a typical multi-air conditioning system consisted one outdoor unit with air-cooled condenser, compressor, linear electric expansion valve and bypass circuit and connected three-evaporators (three indoor units). The simulation results are good agreement with those of experiments within 5 $\sim$ 10% at the given system operation conditions which are condensing pressure, evaporating pressure, sub-cooled degree of condenser, superheated degree, discharge temperature of compressor and pulse of linear electric expansion valve.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 에어컨 사이클 성능해석에 있다. 응축기, 증발기, 팽창밸브 및 압축기는 냉동사이클을 구성하는 핵심요소이다. 사이클의 개별적인 구성요소들에 대한 해석 기법들을 합리적으로 통합하여 다양한 운전조건에서 에어컨 시스템 성능예측이 가능하도록 하였다. 응축기 압력은 압축기 질량유량과 팽창밸브 유량이 일치하도록 반복계산에 의해 획득되며, 증발기 압력은 목표 흡입과열도가 획득되도록 압축기 흡입엔탈피를 반복계산에 의해 획득되었다. 더 나아가서 복수 실내기를 장착한 에어컨 시스템의 성능이 예측될 수 있도록 알고리듬들이 마련되었으며, 이들 모델들에 대한 해석결과를 제시하였다. 소프트웨어의 정확성은 실험결과에 의해 증명 되었다. 특히, 8.3 kW급 모델의 실험결과와 비교함으로써, 소프트웨어의 정확성이 다양하게 검정되었다. 해석결과로써, 정확성은 대체적으로 10% 이내에 있는 것으로 확인되어 우수한 신뢰성이 확보되었다.

멀티에어컨의 연결 배관길이의 변화에 따른 운전특성 변화 (The Variation of Multi Air Conditioner Operation Characteristics with the Arrangements of Connection Pipe Lengths)

  • Multi A/C is consisted of one outdoor unit and several indoor units. When the Multi Air conditioner is installed, we have to be cautious of the length of pipe arrangements. When the pipe arrangement is installed with unbalance or too long, there can be cooling capacity losses and low EER. An experimental study was carried out about the operation characteristic of Multi Air conditioner varying the length of pipe arrangements. If the pipe arrangement of the system is 15m, the cooling capacity and EER were decreased 0.8% and 1.3% respectively compared to the case when pipe arrangement is 5m. In case of 25m, the cooling capacity and EER were decreased 10.7% and 12.2% respectively compared to the case of 5m. When the length of pipe is not same each other, it is profitable to make the pipe length of highest capacity indoor unit shortest.
