UCC Contents Production System Using Direct Show (Direct Show 기반 UCC 컨텐츠 제작 시스템)

  • Recently, it has developed that UCC (User Created Contents) is made and created by the users. The mainly issue of production of contents parts is how can make easier and paly the moving picture more useful. In this paper, for this, we implemented UCC production system using Direct Show which is included Direct X. Direct Show is a moving picture editing technique and has been supported in Microsoft with COM component. Our system has features that the various effects can be easily inserted into moving Picture by users. Moreover, our system can efficiently apply the effects at playing the moving picture differently from the frame processing method. We confirmed these merits through experiments. The proposed system can be used for commercial purposes which high efficiency is required such as advertisement movie.

  • Due to the advent of presumer and digital production of moving picture, a lot of UCC has been generated by editing the previous moving pictures in various way. It causes a lot of problems on copyright, duplication, and content. In reorganizing the contents, it is necessary to increase productivity and reusability by managing production pipeline systematically through the standardization of moving picture content. For this purpose, we try to develop the moving picture content management system that can manage all kinds of information on the production pipeline, based on SCORM of e-learning by considering production, publication and re-editing. Using the meta-data of content object, user and producer can easily search and reuse the contents. Hence, they can choose the contents object according to their preference and reproduce their own creative UCC by reorganizing and packaging the selected objects. The management of copyright by the unit of scene would solve the problem of copyright. The sequencing technique of SCORM as an interactive storytelling method makes it possible to produce individual contents by user's preference.

Performance Evaluation by Frame Discard Methods in Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation Technique for Transmission Plan of Game Moving Picture (게임 동영상 전송을 위한 적응형 대역폭 방법에서 프레임 폐기 방법에 의한 성능 평가)

  • A moving picture in online game is one of major ways to advertise online games, which gives a lot of help in playing game. In this case, a moving picture is compressed to variable bit rate for efficient storage use and network resource efficiency. Adaptable bandwidth allocation technique builds a transmission plan of a game moving picture. And, then some frames are discarded when transmission rate by the transmission plan is larger than available transmission rate, until transmission rate satisfies available transmission rate. Thus, performance evaluation factors in adaptable bandwidth allocation technique may be dependent on discarding order of a frame which transmission rate is much influenced. In this paper, in order to show the performance, a CBA algorithm, an MCBA algorithm, an MVBA algorithm, [6] and [7] algorithm were applied to a transmission plan in the adaptable band width allocation technique using various frame discard methods and performance evaluation factors were compared in among smoothing algorithms.

Moving Picture Compression using Frame Classification by Luminance Characteristics (명암특성에 따른 프레임 분류를 이용한 동영상 압축기법)

  • This paper proposes an efficient moving picture compression for video sequences with luminance variations. In the proposed algorithm, the luminance variation parameters are estimated and local motions are compensated. To detect the frame required luminance compensation, we employ the frame classification based on the cross entropy between histograms of two successive frames, which can reduce the computational redundancy. Simulation results show that the proposed method yields a higher peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) than that of the conventional methods, with a low computational load, when the video scene contains large luminance variations.

  • The authoring technique in 3D stereoscopic technology has dealt in virtual stereoscopic contents. Thus authoring technique for stereoscopic pictures is insufficient. In this paper, we propose the method for authoring stereo scenes with a stereoscopic still picture and moving pictures. And there are no standards for stereoscopic contents in MPEG-4 systems. Thus we propose the extended MPEG-4 systems to support an interactive service with stereoscopic contents. We define new nodes for stereoscopic contents.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰으로 촬영한 비디오 영상이나 일반 캠코더로 촬영한 비디오 영상을 4K 고화질 콘텐츠로 제작하는 것을 제안한다. 대화면 디스플레이와 고해상도 디스플레이가 점차 확대되면서 고화질 콘텐츠의 필요가 증대됨으로 이에 일반적으로 촬영된 영상을 비디오 편집기법을 이용하여 4K 고화질 해상도의 영상 제작을 제안하다. 하지만 일반 비디오카메라로 촬영한 영상을 4K 콘텐츠로 완전히 적용하기 위해서는 촬영에서 4K 카메라로 촬영하고 편집하면 4K 콘텐츠로 보다 해상도가 높은 콘텐츠를 제작할 수 있다고 사료한다.

Space Player for Playing Several Moving Pictures in Mobile Environments (모바일 환경에서 다수의 동영상을 재생하는 공간 재생기)

  • With the improvement of computer performance in Mobile Environments, the users demand for the multimedia player is getting higher, which will be the major force behind the wide distribution of the media player that allows several moving pictures to run simultaneously using multiple windows on the screen. Products that adopted the same method used for a single moving picture and yet support the several moving pictures simultaneously emerged; however, they are not immune from problems. In this paper, we propose method to solve the problems of blinking, play prioritization processor and semi-transparent processor that occur when appling several moving pictures to the method used for a single moving picture and suggested the possible solutions. Taking it one step further, it focused on design and implementation of the media player that allows several moving pictures using overlapping and overlay technique by recognizing the biggest problem, which is that the above media play is not supported when playing several moving pictures simultaneously.

A Study on Basic Element for Video Content Circulation System (동영상 유통시스템 기반요소에 관한 고찰)

  • With the rapid dissemination of Internet and the fast development of IT technology. utilization and circulation of video files through Internet has been widely popularized. To keep playing a central role in information circulation in this ever-changing environment, libraries should pay attention to the circulation of video content, as it emerges to be an important type information resource. In this context, this paper examines the issues surrounding the development of the video content circulation system, while suggesting foundational knowledge required for the development of the system. First, the author reviews the current state of video content utilization and circulation on the internet and examines the related technical developments. Then, the author explains each component of the video content circulation system, while discussing the issues to be considered in the practical implementation of the system. The paper will provide practical guidelines for the librarians in their investigation and/or implementation of the video content circulation service and system.

  • 영상콘텐츠제작에 있어서 영상저작은 제작 기획단계, 제작단계, 제작후단계로 분류할 수 있는데 공학적 방식에 의한 영상 콘텐츠 제작에 있어서 공학적 제작 기법을 적용하여 콘텐츠를 합리적이고 경제적으로 사고하여 제작함으로서 성과를 높이기 위해 새로운 기술혁신과 과거의 경험을 효과적으로 적용하여 콘텐츠를 제작하는 것이다. 이는 새로운 기술의 장점을 포함하여 감성과 경험과 논리적 사고로 영상 콘텐츠를 제작하는 것이다.
