Although many children with cerebral palsy have problems with their eye movements available data on its intervention is minimal. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the postural movement normalization and eye movement program on the oculomotor ability of children with cerebral palsy. Twenty-four children with cerebral palsy (12 male and 12 female), aged between 10 and 12, were invited to partake in this study. The subjects were randomly allocated to two groups: an experimental group received the postural movement normalization and eye movement program and a control group which received conventional therapy without the eye movement program. Each subject received intervention three times a week for twelve weeks. The final measurement was the ocular motor computerized test before and after treatment sessions through an independent assessor. Differences between the experimental group and control group were determined by assessing changes in oculomotor ability using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The changes of visual fixation (p<.01), saccadic eye movement (p<.01) and pursuit eye movement (p<.01) were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group. These results show that the postural movement normalization and eye movement program may be helpful to treat children with cerebral palsy who lose normal physical and eye movement.

The purpose of this study to discover what effect the mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities have on the ability to manipulate objects. The subject of study was a kindergarten class. The experimental and comparative groups consisted of 20 people each. In order to verify the effect of applying the early childhood mathematics education program in connection with outdoor movement activities, a total of 15 weeks of program was conducted for young children. As a result of conducting this study, it was found that a mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities improves the ability to manipulate objects. The discussion based on the results of this study is as follows. First, we suggest to specific activities that can be performed in an outdoor environment should be developed and applied to the field of early childhood education. Second, we suggest that It is necessary to program various subjects that link to outdoor movement activities. Third, we suggest what various measures are needed to improve the young children's ability to manipulate objects.
The purpose of this study is to suggest a professional consensus on the topics that should be dealt with importantly in the movement program for the recovery of cancer patients in Korea. As a result of calculating the importance of the finalized movement program component, First, the opinions about the environment for the promotion of movement were suggested as pleasant facilities, natural lighting, rest room space, facilities aspect of environment friendly space, education about diseases, participation programs, health feedback, information handouts. Second, the opinions on the purpose of the movement program were suggested to promote prevention and early screening of cancer, education, sharing effective treatment methods of cancer patients, cognitive aspect and psychological support for accurate information transmission, stress relief, and improvement of quality of life. Third, the opinions on the consideration of the movement program suggested stress relieving, cancer patient's needs, correct information delivery, quality of life, and participation of cancer patients. Fourth, the problems of the movement program were presented with different physical characteristics, physical inconvenience, the patient side of passive participation, space narrowness and lack, space aspect of program exclusive space etc.

Background: Aging reduces cognitive abilities, including visual memory (VM) and visual discrimination (VD). Since common cortical networks subserve eye movement and attention, voluntary eye movement may improve visual attention. Visual selective attention was major role for memory, and visual memory and visual attention are intimately related. Objective: To identify the improvement in VD and VM, after implementing the eye movement program consisting of saccadic eye movement (SEM) and pursuit eye movement (PEM) in the institutionalized healthy elderly. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: The study involved a sample of 36 participants, and the mean age was 79.03 years (range 76~84 years). They were randomly allocated to the experimental group (n=16) and control group (n=20). Participants in the experimental group performed SEM 5 times per week for 4 weeks: twice daily at the same time in the morning and afternoon. The program was carried out for 3 minutes, and it consisted of SEM and PEM. The target's moving frequency was set at 0.5 Hz. VM and VD at the baseline and post-intervention were measured using Motor-Free Visual Perception test-4 (MFVPT-4). Results: VM significantly improved in the experimental group (p < .01), and significant differences were observed compared to the control group (p < .01). There was no significant change in VD. Conclusion: The eye movement program consisting of SEM and PEM increased VM more than VD. Therefore, eye movement program was feasible interventions for improving VM in institutionalized elderly persons.

The purposes of this study was : 1) to describe the theoretical background of Clean-up Time Movement managing visitors' depreciative behavior ; 2) to test the effectiveness of a mass communication program, Clean-up Time Movement in National Park. This study employed a field experimental design (Multiple time-series design) in Naejangsan National Park. This study evaluated the differential effectiveness of the self-developed Clean-up Time Movement Program to reduce littering behavior between Control groups (Those who not received Clean-up Time Program) and Treatment groups (Those who received Clean-up Time Program) by weighting trash gathered in a litter box and scattered around picnic ground. The results showed that the Clean-up Time Movement Program was more effective to reduce the total trash and the trash degree per a person in Treatment groups than Control groups. It seemed to effective in managing depreciative behavior through the mass communication program in National Park.
Background: The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the hand movement exercise program on the cognitive function of the older with dementia. Methods: A total of twenty-four subjects were divided into two research groups and one control group, respectively. Each exercise was conducted in twelve weeks: three times a week, twice a day for fifteen minutes. Enhancement of cognitive function in each exercise program was evaluated four times using MMSE-KC, the Korean version of the Mini-Mental State. Results: As for enhancement of cognitive function, the hand movement exercise program represented an increase of $1.63{\pm}.92$ over those before study, showing significant differences (p<.05); the large muscle exercise program, $.75{\pm}.89$; and the activities of daily living program, $.00{\pm}2.14$, showing no significant differences. Conclusion: Hand Movement Exercise Program can be inferred from the results that consistent exercise program is more effective than any other ways for enhancement of cognitive function of the older with dementia.

Psychological wellbeing, Middle aged women, Wellbeing with depression tendency, 율동적 동작 프로그램, 우울성향 중년여성 %600an This study was designed to confirm the effects of the Dance Movement Program on psychological health in middle-age women with depression tendency. 67 women with mile to moderate depression scoring between 16-25 were selected among 235 responded to CES-D (Radloff, 1977, Cho and Kim, 1993). The 46 volunteered to participate in the study were assigned the control. 7 attritions occurred during the course of the experiment leaving thirty-nine subject : nineteen experimental and twenty control, for the final analysis. Research subjects revealed to be homogenous demographically and by health-related variables. The 50-minute Dance Movement Program was performed by the experimental group 3 times a week for eight weeks, from October 6 to November 29, 1997. Depression, life satisfaction, self efficacy were measured before and after the course of Dance Movement Program. Plasma serotonin was measured to identify its relationship with depression, Homogeneity tests revealed satisfactory level on relevant research variables. Data were analyzed by $x^2$-test, paired and unpaired t-tests. The results are as follows : 1) The hypothesis that depresson score of experimental group will decreased than control group was supported by t-test(t=2.20, P=.0021) 2) The hypothesis that life satisfaction score of experimental group will increased than control group was supported by t-test(t=1.42, P=.0049). 3) The hypothesis that self-efficacy score of experimental group will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=6.20, P=.0616). 4) The hypothesis that level of plasma serotonin will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=1.88, P=.0524) Thus, the effects of the Dance Movement Program for the improvement of psychological health gram for the improvement of psychological health for the middle-aged women with depression tendency are scientifically confirmed by this study.
Purpose: This research with one group pre-post design was carried out to test the practical feasibility to administrate the Music Movement program developed for the stroke patients. Subjects: 12 stroke survivors at "J" Public Health Center in Seoul. were participated in. The average age was 68 years old, the ratio of sex was almost 5.8:4.2, the duration of was almost over 1 year. Method: Music Movement program was conducted for 2 hours ${\times}$ 1day ${\times}$ 6 weeks. The contents of Music Movement program were consisted of the preparatory activities, main activities and the wrap up activities. The preparatory activities are ice braking, greeting, explanation of the aims of music movement program, and introduction of stroke disease and ROM exercise. The main activities are the body motions with singing and playing musical instruments. The wrap up activities are stretching and joints and discussion of home activities. Data Collection: The outcome variables are muscle strength, finger pinch power, ROMs, flexibility, depression, and life satisfaction. Depression was measured by CES-D(Kim, I. J., 1999), life satisfaction by ladder scale(McDowell & Newell, 1996), and ADL state(Holbrook & Skilbeck, 1983). Data Analysis: SPSS/PC 10.0 for Window was used. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to analyze outcome measures. The level of statistical significance was set at p<.05. Results: This program was effective to decrease the depression level of subjects(p<.05). The muscle strength, hand grip power, ROMs, life satisfaction, and rehabilitation state of the subjects were slightly increased but no significant differences were found between the pre and post test. Additionally every patient replied that they were very satisfied and expressed their appreciation for this program very much. Of course they strongly want to continue to participate in and meet the peer group again. Conclusion: Considering these results, the practical feasibility of Music Movement program can be supported. Therefore, this Music Movement program can be examined with the quasi-experimental design with control group and ongoing reviews. After that, this program would be applied in public health centers, medical institutes, and welfare centers for the rehabilitation of stroke patients.

The purpose of this paper is to understand and express emotions and experiences from the perspective of others through empathy, which is crucial for maintaining social relationships. The smooth formation of interpersonal relationships through the physical activity of children with disabilities holds significant meaning. Children with disabilities often lack opportunities for interaction with their peers compared to typical children, and the absence of effective communication methods poses difficulties in forming relationships. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of a movement education program on enhancing empathy in children with disabilities. The program was implemented for 12 weeks from April to June 2023, involving five children with disabilities. The movement education program comprised 12 topics, encompassing physical, emotional, and cognitive domains. Empathy was measured in two areas: cognitive empathy and emotional empathy. The results indicated improvement in both cognitive and emotional empathy after the program compared to the pre-assessment. The rate of progress varied depending on the type and severity of the disability, but overall, positive changes in the development of empathy were observed. Through this research, it is hoped that movement programs can be practically utilized as a valuable resource.
Purpose: This study was amied to identify the effects of a 12 week Korean traditional dance movement program on balance, depression, medical cost, medical institution's utilization and fall among elderly women. Methods: Using a quasi-experimental design, the experimental group was composed of 130 subjects and the control group was composed of 123 subjects. The experimental group participated in a 12 week Korean traditional dance movement program 3 times a week from December 2002 to February 2003. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, the chi-square test, paired t-test and t-test. Results: There was siginificant improvement in balance(right leg p=.000, left leg p=.004), depression(p=.000), and the medical institution's utilization(p=.001) and fall(p=.002) in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: A Korean traditional dance movement program improved balance, depression, and decreased fall and medical cost in elderly women. Therefore, we recommend this program be utilized as a health promoting program and falls preventing program for the elderly in the community.
