In this paper, a primitive study of yacht is carried out and an attempt to design a typical yacht is pursuited. General characteristics and types of a yacht is examined and the 1st step to design process is outlined. A model ship of an environmental adaptive yacht is presented and principal dimensions of the yacht is decided.

This article describes a part of collaborative research between industry and academy to develop an initial hull form of 46 feet motor yacht. Hydrodynamic performances such as stability, resistance and seaworthiness were estimated after completing the procedure of hull form design in the initial design stage.

Manufacturing process of plugs is firstly performed in the making of FRP yacht so it is an essential process for making original form. In the developed countries, it has been useful to manufacture structures of streamlined forms or complex forms, which have been difficult to manufacture due to limits of the traditional hand-made technology, by introducing 5-axis machining technology. In this study, the factors that affect most in the machining were found by using Taguchi Method in order to select the optimized machining conditions for 5-axis machines, and the ways to improve the surface roughness of machined products by applying those factors.

해양레저 관광 활성화를 위해 해양레저스포츠 체험선택과 체험효과, 체험만족 간의 관계를 연구하고자 설문지를 제작한 후 보령지역을 방문하여 조사 분석을 실시하는 연구를 수행한 결과 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택중요는 선택만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택중요는 체험효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택만족은 체험효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 해양레저스포츠 방문객들은 모타보트, 바나나보트, 요트 체험을 선호하는 것으로 조사되었다. 다섯째, 해양레저체험센터 건립시에는 장비대여소, 안전시설, 해양레저체험시설이 포함되어야 한다.
