A general procedure for a motion capture and mimic system has been delineated. Utilizing sensors operated in the magnetic fields, complicated and optimized movements are easily digitized to analyze and repreduce. The system consists of a motion capture module, a motion visualization module, a motion plan module, a motion mimic module, and a GUI module. Design concepts of the system are modular, open, and user friendly to ensure the overall system performance. Custom-built and/or off-the-shelf modules are ease- ly integrated into the system. With modifications, this procedure can be applied for complicated motion controls. This procedure is implemented on tracking a head and balancing a pole. A neural controller based on this control scheme dtilizing human motions can easily evolve from a small amount of learning data.

Typically, a Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) uses a PID feed-back system, and it often adopts a wind feed-forward system because of its easier implementation than a feed-forward system based on current or wave. But, because a ship's drifting motion is caused by wind, current, and wave drift loads, all three environmental loads should be considered. In this study, a motion predictive control for the PID feedback system of the DPS is proposed, which considers the three environmental loads by utilizing predicted drifted ship positions in the future since it contains information about the three environmental loads from the moment to the future. The prediction accuracy for the future drifted ship position is ensured by adopting deep learning algorithms and a replay buffer. Finally, it is shown that the proposed motion predictive system results in better station-keeping performance than the wind feed-forward system.

In this paper, the analysis and design of a motion simulator (based on the approach taken by interactive virtual reality (VR) entertainment systems) is conducted. The main components of the system include a bilateral control interface, simulation and a motion simulator control scheme. The space entertainment system uses a virtual environment that enables operators to feel the actual feedback sensing and distorted motion from the virtual environment, just as they would in the real environment. The space entertainment system integrates the dynamics of the motion simulator and the virtual environment and the operator maneuvers a steering wheel to interact with the system. The multiple bilateral control schemes employ a dynamical controller, which is designed by considering the velocity and acceleration that the operator imposes on the joystick, the environmental changes imposed on the motion simulator. In addition, we develop a calculated method to evaluate the Ratio of the simulation results. It is shown that the proposed control scheme can improve the performance of the visual entertainment system. Experiments are conducted on the virtual reality entertainment system to validate the theoretical developments.

This paper presents an implementation of digital motion control system of induction motor vector drives with a direct torque control(DTC) using the 16bit DSP TMS 320F240. The DSP controller enable enhanced real time algorithm and cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for induction motors which can be yield enhanced operation, fewer system components, lower system cost, increased efficiency and high performance. The system presented are stator flux observer of current model that inputs are current sensing of motor terminal and rotor angle, and optimal switching look-up table by using fully integrated control software. The developed system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 2.2Kw general purposed induction motor.

In this paper we propose a new approach to the autonomous wall-following of wheeled mobile robots using hybrid system reference motion synthesis and generation. The hybrid system approach is in-troduced to the motion control of nonholonomic mobile robots for the indoor navigation problems. In the dis-crete event system the discrete states are defined by the user-defined constraints and the reference mo-tion commands are specified in the abstracted motions. The hybrid control system applied for the non-holonomic mobile robots can combine the motion planning and autonomous navigation with obstacle avoid-ance for the indoor navigation problem. Simulation results show that hybrid system approach is an effective method for the autonomous navigation in indoor environments.

The swing motion control problem of a container hanging on the trolly is considered in the paper. In the container crane control problem, suppressing the residual swing motion of the container at the end of acceleration, deceleration or the case of that the unexpected disturbance input exists is main issue. For this problem, in general, many trolley motion control strategies are introduced and applied. In this paper, we introduce and synthesize a swing motion control system in which a small auxiliary mass is installed on the spreader made by ourselves. In this control system, the actuator reacting against the auxiliary mass applies inertial control forces to the container to reduce the swing motion in the desired manner. In many studies, the controllers used to suppress the vibration have been synthesized for the given mathematical model of plants. And, the designers have not been able to utilize the degree of freedom to adjust the structural parameters for the control object. To overcome this problem, so called 'Structure/control Simultaneous Method' is used. In this paper, the simultaneous design method is used to determine the optimum weight of moving mass such that the optimal system performance would be achieved. And the experimental result shows that the proposed control strategy is useful to the case of that the controlled system is exposed to the uncertainties and, robust to the unexpected disturbance inputs.

In this paper, we will discuss the absolute angular error control mode for the Gun/Turret driving system. The Gun/Turret driving controller receives absolute angular error calculated from the fire control system (FCS). Thus, the Gun/Turret driving controller is subjected to step command to cause residual vibration and system unstable. In order to reduce residual vibration and to ensure the system stability, we propose an error motion profile method with two types of trapezoidal and S-Curve. The validity of the proposed error motion profile method is confirmed via simulation by observing that the resulting position error, driving power, and power density satisfied the control performance.
This paper presents a wafer motion modeling of the transfer unit and the control unit in the clean tube system, which was developed as a means for transferring the air-floated wafers inside the closed tube filled with the super clean airs. The motion in the transfer unit is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system where the recovering force by air jets issued from the perforated plate is modeled as a linear spring. The motion in the control unit is also modeled as another mass-spring-damper system, but in two dimensional systems. Experiments with a clean tube system built for 12-inch wafers show the validity of the presented force and motion models.

There are two kinds of controllers in a continuous process system. One is for tension control of a moving web and the other for lateral motion control. The inter-connection between tension and lateral behaivior of web has not yet been considered in the analysis of web dynamics and designing of control stragagies. But the effect of tension variation on the lateral motion of a moving web is observed in the most manufacturing systems. In this paper, experimental studies was carried out to find out the inter-correlation between tension and lateral motion of a web using a 3-span web transport system which consists of two displacement type guiders. As a result, it was found that there are typical operating conditions that tension and lateral motion are correlated each other.
Recently, smart lighting systems are the combination between sensors and lights. These systems turn on/off and adjust the brightness of lights based on the motion of object and the brightness of environment. These systems are often applied in places such as buildings, rooms, garages and parking lot. However, these lighting systems are controlled by lighting sensors, motion sensors based on illumination environment and motion detection. In this paper, we propose an automatic lighting control system using one single camera for buildings, rooms and garages. The proposed system is one integration the results of digital image processing as motion detection, hand gesture detection to control and dim the lighting system. The experimental results showed that the proposed system work very well and could consider to apply for automatic lighting spaces.
