For constructing 3D information using aerial photograph or video sequences, left and right stereo images having different viewing angle should be prepared in overlapping area. In video sequences, left and right stereo images would be generated by mosaicing left and right slice images extracted in consecutive video sequences. Therefore, this paper is focused on generating left and right stereo mosaic images that are able to construct 3D information and video sequences could be made for the best use. In the stereo mosaic generation, motion parameters between video sequences should be firstly determined. In this paper, to determine motion parameters, free mosaic method using geometric relationship, such as relative orientation parameters, between consecutive frame images without GPS/INS geo-data have applied. After determining the motion parameters, the mosaic image have generated by 4 step processes: image registration, image slicing, determining on stitching line, and 3D image mosaicking. As the result of experiment, generated stereo mosaic image and analyzed result of x, y-parallax have showed.
An isolate of Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), designated as Cas-CMV, was isolated from Chinese aster (Callistephus chinensis) showing severe mosaic symptom, and its properties was compared to the well-characterized Fny-CMV (subgroup IA) and As-CMV (subgroup IB) by host reaction in several indicator plants, dsRNA analysis, RT-PCR analysis, and restriction enzyme profile of the PCR products. Cas-CMV differed markedly in their host reaction to Fny-CMV or As-CMV in Cucurbita pepo cv. Black beauty. In the zucchini squash, all strains induced chlorotic spot on inoculated leaves and mosaic symptoms on upper leaves. However, symptoms induced by Cas-CMV were developed lethal necrosis on the young plants 15 to 20 days after inoculation. In experiments of dsRNA analysis and RT-PCR analysis, properties of Cas-CMV was come within subgroup I CMV. Moreover, restriction enzyme analysis using HindIII of the RT-PCR products showed that Cas-CMV belong to a member of CMV subgroup IA.

In this paper, we propose an overlapped mosaic plot which proposed by Hartigan and Kleiner(1981) represents the counts in $2{\times}2$ contingency table directly by tiles whose area is proportional to the cell frequency. Overlapped mosaic plot provides some measurements of association including dynamic graphics for mosaic plots. Dynamic graphics for mosaic plots give some useful informations when one gets some measurements of association and selects a model, and current statistical software does not provide this feature. We can see the deviations between observation and estimate of independence from overlapped mosaic plot. This dynamic graphics give some useful informations how far this data are apart from independence.
The paradigm of warfare is undergoing a revolutionary transformation due to the advancements in technology brought forth by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Specifically, the U.S. military has introduced the concept of mosaic warfare as a means of military innovation, aiming to integrate diverse resources and capabilities, including various weapons, platforms, information systems, and artificial intelligence. This integration enhances the ability to conduct agile operations and respond effectively to dynamic situations. The incorporation of mosaic warfare could facilitate efficient and rapid command and control by integrating AI staff with human commanders. Ukrainian military operations have already employed mosaic warfare in response to Russian aggression. This paper focuses on the mosaic war fare concept, which is being proposed as a model for future warfare, and suggests the strategy for introducing the Korean mosaic warfare concept in light of the changing battlefield paradigm.
This paper analyzes the short animation film which faithfully follows the external dimension of cartoons, and studies the hidden subject and the way of narrative in the back of the figure. In this process, we analyze the theme of using the analysis method of mosaic image. The narrative of cartoons is usually the majority in discussing the differences in the aspectual part. However, this animation uses cartoons to reach the linear narrative of ordinary narrative movies. As Janet Murray explains, if a 'mosaic image' approaches a theme through a mosaic approach, we can limit the 'mosaic film' that are introduced in the film format among them. First of all, conceptually uses the characteristics of 'mosaic image', at the same time, it utilizes a work utilizing the narrative features of 'mosaic film'. By analyzing this animation film by bifurcation, the first half reveals the characteristics of open-minded mosaic video platform, and the second half introduces the linear narrative method of film narrative. This paper divides the narrative method of 'multi plot Film' into three types: mosaic narrative film, network narrative film, and multi-draft film. Thus, we can analyze the ending of as a narrative method of 'network narrative film' which is composed of parallel or juxtaposed stories. In other words, if the early part of the animation follows the 'mosaic narrative' as an 'extension of ensemble film', the latter part faithfully follows 'network narrative'. Even in the way of talking about the subject, this animated film uses the way of speaking the mosaic image. Considering the aspectual tendency of cartoons, it can be said that this film derives the meaning of 'humor' or 'satire' in an open way. If the first half refers to 'the ambiguous routine of modern man', the latter half draws a profound theme called 'the reality of human selfishness in modern society'. is a film for a wide range of social criticism designed for adults who can interpret meaning.
In recent years, as the demand of high-resolution satellite images increases due to the miniaturization and constellation of satellites, various efforts to support users to utilize satellite images more conveniently are performed. Accordingly, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute produces and provides mosaic images on the Korean Peninsula every year to improve the convenience of users in the public sector and activate the use of satellite images. In order to increase the utilization of mosaic images on the Korean Peninsula, a study on satellite image segmentation and classification using mosaic images was attempted. However, since mosaic images provide only R, G, and B bands and processes such as image sharpening and color balancing are applied, there is a limitation that the spectral information of original images is distorted, so various indices were extracted and classified using R, G, and B bands to compensate for this. As a result of the study, the accuracy of image classification results using only mosaic images was about 72%, while the accuracy of image classification results using indices extracted from R, G, and B bands together was about 79%. Through this, it was confirmed that when performing image classification using mosaic images on the Korean Peninsula, the image classification results can be improved if the indices extracted from R, G, and B bands are used together. These research results are expected to be applied not only to mosaic images but also to images in which spectral information is limited or only R, G, and B bands are provided.
A virus causing chlorotic ringspot, yellow mosaic and vein clearing symptoms was prevalent on mungbean plants around Taean, Korea. The isolate caused mosaic on Chenopodium quinoa, Nicotiana benthamiana, Phaseolus vulgaris and Vida laba but no symptoms on peanut plants. Inclusion bodies such as scroll, pinwheel and laminated aggregates induced by the virus in the host cells were similar to those produced by members of the Potyvirus subdivision III. Multiple alignment as well as cluster dendrograms of the 709 nucleotide region comprising part of the coat protein gene and 3'untranslated region (UTR) showed that the isolate belongs to the BCMV-PSt subgroup. Altogether, these results support the identification of the causal virus as peanut stripe strain of Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV-PSt).
Mixed infection of watermelon mosaic potyvirus II isolated from pumpkin (WMV-P) and cucumber green mottle mosaic tobamovirus from watermelon (CGMMV-W) caused extremely severe symptoms such as progressive silting and death of watermelon plants. Single infections of either WMV-P or CGMMV-W on the same hosts produced only vein clearing and/or mosaic on the upper leaves. In cells infected with WMV-P, potyvirus-characteristic inclusions of pinwheels, scrolls and cylindrical inclusions were present in the cytosol. Parallel arrays of virus particles in the tonoplast were also common. In cells infected with CGMMV-W, virus particles occurred as stacked-bands of scattered randomly in the cytosol and vacuoles in all type cells. Many cells also contained vesiculated mitochondria with fibril-containing vesicles. Cells infected mixedly with WMV-P and CGMMV-W contained structural features that were not observed in cells infected singly with the two viruses. A particle of WMV-P potyvirus was surrounded by evenly spaced nine particles of CGMMV-W tobamovirus, which made a unique nonagon ring. The angled layers having $60^{\circ}$-$135^{\circ}$ were alternating layer, herringbone, crosshatching and ladder figures.
This article describes the design and performance characteristics of a broadband ultrasonic mosaic transducer. We focus on the improved bandwidth in the high frequency band of a previously designed broadband ultrasonic transducer (Lee et al., 2014). The improvement in the pulse-echo bandwidth was achieved by employing twelve $2{\times}2$ element subarrays, operating at different resonance frequencies, and utilizing the mosaic array concept. We found that the -6 dB and -12 dB bandwidths of the newly developed broadband ultrasonic mosaic transducer, were up to 155% and 170% of the previously designed model, with a quality factor of 1.71 and 1.25, respectively. The averaged TVR (transmitting voltage response), SRT (receiving sensitivity), and FOM (figure of merit) values in a nearly flat transmitting response band, from 45 to 105 kHz providing a -12 dB bandwith of 60 kHz, were 163.3 dB (re $1{\mu}Pa/V$ at 1 m), -192.8 dB (re $1V/{\mu}Pa$), and -30.9 dB, respectively.
Mosaic plots, proposed by Hartigan and Kleiner (1981, 1984), are very useful in visualizing categorical data. In mosaic plot, multi-way classified cell frequencies are represented by rectangles with proportional area. The plot is easy to understand while preserving the information contained in the data. Plot's appearance, however, does change substantially depending on the order of variables and the orders of categories with variable put into the plot. In this study, we propose the algorithms for ordering variables and categories of the categorical data to be explored via mosaic plots. We demonstrate our methods to three well-known datasets: Titanic, Housing and PreSex.
