탄천 하도사주의 지형 형성과정과 식생분포 연구 (A Study of the Geomorphological Process and Vegetation Distribution of Sand-bars on the Tan-cheon River)

  • 본 연구는 하천 경관요소 중에서 비교적 단시간에 걸쳐 변화하는 사주 지형과 식생 분포의 역동적 형성과정을 밝히기 위해 수행되었으며, 연구 대상 하천은 2002년 이후 생태계보전지역으로 관리되고 있는 탄천 하류부 구간이다. 이를 위해서 사주지형의 변화는 항공사진과 경관사진을 통해 그 형성과정을 파악하고 현재 사주 지형 위에 형성된 식생의 분포를 현장조사를 통해 분석하였다. 분석한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1980년대 후반에 직강화 되었던 하도 내에서 1990년대에 들어 사주의 발달이 현저하여 다양한 형태의 사주가 형성되었고 이는 지속적으로 변화하였다. 초기에 사주가 형성되고 시간이 경과함에 따라, 하도 내 흐름 특성에 따라 사주의 면적과 높이가 변하였다. 둘째, 식생의 분포에 있어서는 물과 접촉 빈도가 높은 하안부는 교란의 정도가 심하기 때문에 무식생 상태이거나, 간헐적인 식생이 분포하여 피도가 낮게 나타났으며, 고수부지 쪽으로 형성된 사주에는 목본류나 정수식물군락이 활착되면서 식생 피도가 높게 나타나 안정식생역을 형성하였다. 셋째, 사주와 식생형성과정의 관계는 사주의 형태와 식생의 안정성 여부에 따라 저수로변 사주, 불안정 식생 저수로변사주, 안정식생 하중주 그리고 불안정식생 하중주 4가지 유형으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 밝힌 하도 내 사주와 하천식생의 형성과정에 있어서의 상호관계는 모래하상의 하천부지에서 식물종이나 식재위치 선정에 유용할 것이나, 하천생태계 복원을 위한 실행사업의 식재 지침으로 활용되기 위해서는 다양한 특성을 지닌 하천에 대한 보다 폭 넓은 사례연구가 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다.

GRIM-19 Expression and Function in Human Gliomas

  • Objective : We determined whether the expression of GRIM-19 is correlated with pathologic types and malignant grades in gliomas, and determined the function of GRIM-19 in human gliomas. Methods : Tumor tissues were isolated and frozen at $-80^{\circ}C$ just after surgery. The tissues consisted of normal brain tissue (4), astrocytomas (2), anaplastic astrocytomas (2), oligodendrogliomas (13), anaplastic oligodendrogliomas (11), and glioblastomas (16). To profile tumor-related genes, we applied RNA differential display using a $Genefishing^{TM}$ DEG kit, and validated the tumor-related genes by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). A human glioblastoma cell line (U343MG-A) was used for the GRIM-19 functional studies. The morphologic and cytoskeletal changes were examined via light and confocal microscopy. The migratory and invasive abilities were investigated by the simple scratch technique and Matrigel assay. The antiproliferative activity was determined by thiazolyl blue Tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and FACS analysis. Results : Based on RT-PCR analysis, the expression of GRIM-19 was higher in astrocytic tumors than oligodendroglial tumors. The expression of GRIM-19 was higher in high-grade tumors than low-grade tumors or normal brain tissue; glioblastomas showed the highest expression. After transfection of GRIM-19 into U343MG-A, the morphology of the sense-transfection cells became larger and more spindly. The antisensetransfection cells became smaller and rounder compared with wild type U343MG-A. The MTT assay showed that the sense-transfection cells were more sensitive to the combination of interferon-$\beta$ and retinoic acid than U343MG-A cells or antisense-transfection cells; the antiproliferative activity was related to apoptosis. Conclusion : GRIM-19 may be one of the gene profiles which regulate cell death via apoptosis in human gliomas.

구순 구개열 환자의 성장 후 안모에 관한 두부방사선학적 계측 (A Cephalometric Analysis of Lateral Morphologic Feature in Adult Cleft Lip and Palate Patients)

  • 이차골 이식술을 시행 받은 구순 구개열을 가지는 성인 남자 20명의 두부계측방사선 사진을 McNamara씨 분석법을 중심으로 하여 계측한 결과는 다음과 같다. 구순 구개열 환자에서 Na. perpendicualr to point A칼은 글.98±5.70, SWh angle 값은 76.45±4.69, Pogonion to Na. perpendicular간은 -6.38± 6.73을 나타내었다. Effective maxillary length는 85.6±4.42, effective mandibular length 값은 123.88±7.10을 보였고 하악각은 29.9±5.09, facial axis angle은 5.53±2.03으로 관찰되었다. Point A에 대해 상악 전치의 돌출도는 3.95±2.74의 값을 보였다.

홀터 심전계를 위한 심방세동 신호 추출 알고리즘 (Atrial Fibrillation Waveform Extraction Algorithm for Holter Systems)

  • 심방세동은 발작성 심방세동 단계에서부터 검출 및 분석하여 적절한 치료를 실시하여야 하며, 홀터 심전계를 통해서만 측정할 수 있다. 현재 12채널 심전계를 통해서는 심방세동 신호를 추출할 수 있는 효과적인 방법들이 개발되어 있으나, 홀터 심전계를 위한 방법으로는 심실활동 템플릿을 단순 제거하는 ABS(averaged beat subtraction)방법이 사용되고 있다. 최근 단일 채널 심전도로부터 심방세동 신호를 추출하기 위한 PCA(principal component analysis) 또는 SVD(singular value decomposition) 기반의 알고리즘이 제안되기도 하였으나, 구현이 복잡하고 전문가의 개입이 필요한 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 주 입력인 심방세동 심전도에서 심실활동을 이벤트로서 검출한 뒤 이를 기준 입력으로 하는 이벤트 동기 적응필터(ESAF, event-synchronous adaptive filter)를 제안하고, 심방세동 신호 추출 성능을 평가해 보았다. 그 결과 기존 ABS 방법에 비해 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 전문가의 개입 없이도 PCA 또는 SVD 기반의 알고리즘과도 대등한 성능을 보였다. 나아가 이형성 심실활동이 있는 경우에도 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 확장 ESAF 방법을 제안하였으며, 단형성 심실활동이 있는 경우와 유사한 수준의 성능을 확인하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 홀터 심전계에 적용하면 발작성 심방세동 심전도의 분석뿐만 아니라 항부정맥 약물의 치료효과를 실시간으로 보다 정확하게 평가할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

흰쥐 모델에서 하이알루론산을 채운 정맥도관의 신경재생에 관한 연구 (Nerve Regeneration Using a Vein Graft Conduit filled with Hyaluronic Acid in a Rat Model)

  • Purpose: The vein graft was considered as a useful conduit for nerve defect. But the problem is that it might be collapsed in long vein graft state. A new experimental model using vein graft filled with hyaluronic acid was considered. Methods: Thirty rats were used for the experimental animal. In group I, one side of the femoral nerve was exposed and a segment was removed about 15mm. The neural gap was connected with nerve graft. In group II, the nerve gap was connected with vein graft only. In group III, the nerve gap was connected with vein graft filled with hyaluronic acid. A walking track analysis was made periodically for 2 months and NCV(nerve conduction velocity) was executed at the end of the experiment. And morphologic studies were also done for all groups Results: In a walking track analysis, the toe-spread was widen and the foot-length was lengthened. The recovery of the toe-spread and foot length was checked 2 weeks interval, periodically for two months. The SFI (sciatic function index) was $-52.5{\pm}8.2$ in group I, $-68.1{\pm}4$ in group II, $-55.3{\pm}7.9$ in group III. In electrophysiological study, NCV(nerve conduction velocity) was $26.71{\pm}3.11m/s$ in group I, $17.94{\pm}4.35m/s$ in group II, $25.69{\pm}2.81m/s$ in group III. The functional recovery in group I and III was superior to that the group II statistically(p < 0.05) Under electromicroscopic study, the number of the myelinated axons were $1419.1{\pm}240$ in group I, $921.7{\pm}176.8$ in group II, $1322.2{\pm}318$ in group III. The number of the myelinated axons were much more in group I and III than group II statistically (p<0.05). Conclusion: This study suggested that the vein graft filled with hyaluronic acid is more effective than vein graft only for the conduit of the nerve gap. It was thought that the technique could be used in clinical cases with nerve defects as an alternative method to classical nerve grafts.

계면활성제 유발된 피부장애의 아로마 에션셜 오일의 유효성 연구 - Palmarosa, Neroli essential oil을 중심으로 - (Efficiency of Essential oil about the Skintroubles induced Surfactants - Palmarosa, Neroli essential oil -)

  • 주방세제로 유도한 건성피부에 대한 Palmarosa, Neroli essential oil의 유효성 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 단백질 분석결과 Neroli essential oil 처리 군이 대조군과 가장 유사하게 나타났고 그 다음으로 Palmarosa + Neroli essential oil 처리 군이 대조군과 유사하게 복구되어 가고 있는 것으로 나타났고 그 다음으로 Palmarosa의 순이다. 표피층의 형태적 관찰결과로는 Palmarosa essential oil에 의한 각질층의 이탈과 Neroli essential oil에 의한 각질층의 복구에 의한 표피층의 비후 현상을 볼 수 있었으나 각각의 오일 처리군에서 계면활성제 처리 후 피부 염증에 대한 재생효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 염증 반응을 알아보기 위한 Mast Cell 실험에서 보면 대조군에 비해 계면활성제 연속처리군에서는 mast cell의 크기와 수가 증가되었음을 확인 할 수 있다. Neroli essential oil이 처리된 각각의 군에서는 mast cell의 수가 확연히 감소된 것을 볼 수 있다.

하악골 전돌증환자의 구내 하악골상행지 수직골절단술후 이하두정 계측방사선사진상에서의 근심골편의 형태 및 위치 변화 (MORPHOLOGIC AND POSITIONAL CHANGE OF THE PROXIMAL SEGMENTS AFTER INTRAORALVERTICAL RAMUS OSTEOTOMY OF THE MANDIBULAR PROGNATHISM ON SUBMENTOVERTEX CEPHALOGRAM)

  • Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy,along with Sagittal Split Ramus Osteotomy,is an popular surgical technique performed on mandibular prognathism. However Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy has been suspected for an initial mobilization at the healing phase of segment because it does not employ the rigid fixation between segments. To execute a study on the healing phase of segment after Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy on the horizontal plane, 102 patients (204 parts) who were diagnosed mandibular prognathism and took Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy at the Yonsei University dental hospital were observed during the period of before operation, immediately postoperation, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. The change in the width of segment and horizontal angle of proximal segment and condylar head on the Submentovertex Cephalogram taken from those patients represented following results. 1. The width of proximal and distal segment decreased with the lapse of time. It decreased into 84.5% between immediate postoperative and 6M and even continued to decrease till 12M. 2. The horizontal angle of the proximal segment did medial rotation according as the lapse of time and rigorously continued till 3M. The rotation angle of condylar head indicated its tendency of recurrence to the original position but the entire recurrence was not allowed. The bigger an initial angle was, the higher was the tendency of recurrence after the operation while the rotation angle remained still bigger. 3. After grouping into group 1, group 2,and group 3 based on the extent of the variation of rotation angle of condylar head at immediate postoperative, the variation of rotation angle was measures in each group. The result presented that the initial rotation angle of condylar head had correlation with that of proximal segment but had no relation with the extent of setback of the mandible. However a quantitative analysis alone is not a sufficient method for analyzing the healing phase of segment on the horizontal plane.Therefore a multilateral analysis using 3 dimensional data such as CT is recommendable for the future study.

3차원 재구성법에 의한 C-shaped root의 형태분석 (MORPHOLOGIC ANALYSIS OF C-SHAPED ROOT USING 3-D RECONSTRUCTION)

  • C-shaped canal configuration is very difficult to treat because that clues about preoperative canal anatomy cannot be ascertained from clinical crown morphology and limited information can be derived from radiographic examination. This study was done to get more informations about the root and canal configuration of C-shape root by 3-dimensionally reconstructing for the purpose of enhancing success rate of endodontic treatment. 30 mandibular molars with C-shaped root were selected. Six photo images from occlusal, apical, mesial, distal, buccal, lingual directions and radiographic view were taken as preoperative ones to compare them with 3-D image. After crown reduction to the level of 1-2mm over pulpal floor was performed, teeth were stored in 5.25% sodium hypochlorite solution for the removal of pulp tissue and debris. They were cleaned under running water, allowed to bench dry and embedded in a self-curing resin. This resin block was serially ground with a microtome (Accutom-50, Struers, Denmark) and the image of each level was recorded by digital camera (FinePix S1-pro, Fuji Co., Japan). The thickness of each section was 0.25mm. Photographs of serial sections through all root canal were digitized using Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and then minimum thickness of open and closed sites were measured (open site is the surface containing occluso-apical groove closed site is oppsite). After dizitization using 3-D Doctor (Able software Corp, USA). 3D reconstruction of the outer surface of tooth and the inner surface of pulp space was made. Canal classsification of C-shaped roots was performed from this 3-D reconstructed image. The results were as follows : 1. Most C-shape rooted teeth showed lingual groove (28/30). 2 According to Vertuccis' calssification, type I, II, III, IV, VII were observed. but also new canal types suck as 2-3-2, 1-2-3-2. 2-3-2-1, 2-3-2-3 were shown. 3 There was little difference in minimum thickness on coronal and apical portions, but open site were thinner than closed site on mid portion. Conclusively, 3D reconstruction method could make the exact configurations of C-shape root possible to be visualized and analyzed from multi-directions. Data from minimum thickness recommend cleaning and shaping be more carefully done on dangerous mid portion.

V형 여울에서 발생하는 세굴에 관한 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study on Scour at V-shaped Riffle)

  • V형 여울은 하천 양안에 설치하여 여울의 가운데로 물의 흐름을 집중시켜 하도 중앙 직하류에 세굴로 인한 소(pool)를 형성하는 역할을 하는 인공 여울이다. V형 여울의 설치 목적은 평탄화된 하도에 소를 형성시켜 갈수시 어류의 서식처 노는 피난처를 제공하고, 홍수시에는 유속이 약한 구간을 발생시켜 어류의 피난처를 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 V형 여울의 수리 모형 실험을 실시하여 각 조건에 따른 세굴심을 측정하여 세굴 특성을 분석하였고, 나아가 수리량 조건 및 V형 여울 형태와 세굴 간의 정량적인 관계를 실험 결과로부터 도출하였다. 또한 V형 여울과 형태가 유사한 수제에서의 세굴심에 대한 기존의 연구 결과와 V형 여울의 경우를 비교하였다. 그 결과 Breusers와 Raudkivi(1991)가 제안한 수제에서의 세굴심 예측식은 V형 여울에서의 세굴심을 과소평가하지만 V형 여울께서의 세굴 특성을 일부 반영하는 것으로 나타났다. V형 여울의 세굴에 영향을 주는 인자들의 무차원화를 통해 V형 여울에서의 세굴심 예측식을 제안하였고 제안된 예측식은 V형 여울의 적용에 있어서 세굴심을 추정하는데 사용될 수 있고 판단된다. V형 여울의 세굴에 지배적인 영향을 주는 인자는 여울 중앙에서의 프루드 수이고, 그밖에 여울과 흐름의 각도와 여울 개구부의 폭도 부분적으로 영향을 준다.

자궁경부 상피세포위축과 골다공증의 상관관계 분석 (Analysis of the Correlation between atrophy of exocervical epithelial cell and osteoporosis)

  • Background : Osteoporosis and atrophic cell pattern in Pap smear are frequent findings In postmenopausal women due to loss of ovarian function, The present study attempted to find out possible correlation between morphologic characteristics of Pap smear and osteoporosis. Material & methods: The subjects were 825 women(age from 35 to 80) who had undergone Pap smear and bone mineral density(BMD) at The Korea Association of Health Promotion, Seoul Branch, from March 8 to May 10, 2005. Pap smears from 825 women were reviewed and classified either mature cell pattern or atrophic cell pattern by their cytologic patterns, BMD were measured using LUNAR DPX MdIQ(Minster, Ohio, USA). BMD value of lumbar spine(Ll, L2,L3 and L4) were measured from 825 women and BMD value of proximal region off emur(neck NK, Wards triangle WT, and trochanter TR) were measured from 818 women and their bone status were classified as normal( T-sore:>-1.0), osteopenia (T-score: -l~<-2,5) and osteoporosis(T-score: ≤ -2.5). And age distribution of Pap smear, average T-value andfrequency ofsteoporo-sis of each region of the bone, percentage of osteoporosis of each boneregion by age group and changing pattern of percentage of osteopenia and osteoporosis in certain postmenopausal period were compared between mature and atrophic cell pattern. Results: Pap smears revealed total mature cell pattern 53,9%(445/825) and total atrophic cell pattern 46.1%(380/825), Percentage of mature cell pattern decreased from 98.2%(168/171)under 44 age group to 13,3%(17/128) over 65 age group and mature cell pattern increased from 1.8%(3/171) under 44 age group to 86.7%(111/128) oyer 65 age group. Mean T-value of each region of lumbar spine and femur of mature cell pattern were lower than that of atrophic cell pattern about -1,5. And osteoporosis has noted in atrophic cell pattern showing odds ratio Ll 13.9, L2 15.3, L3 12.0, L4 10,4, UK 6.7, WT 10.9 and TR 4.1.Atrophic cell pattern started to increase after 45 years of age and osteoporosis of a trophic cell pattern started after 55 years of age. During 50 to 64 years of age period, L3, L4 and WT revealed parallel increased of osteopenia and osteoporosis and Ll, L2 revealed decreased of osteopenia and increased of osteoporosis. nia Conclusion: Above findings suggest that atrophic cell pattern of Pap smear precedes osteoporosis about 10 years and one of predictor of osteoporosis.
