  • In this study, the variation of the shrinkage in the thickness direction of the molded parts according to the gate size of the polymer core fabricated through the 3D printer using the SLS method was studied. The polymer cores are laser sintered and the powder material is nylon base PA2200. The polymer cores have lower heat transfer rate and rigidity than the metal core due to the characteristics of the material. Therefore, the injection molding test conditions are set to minimize the deformation of the core during the injection process. The resin used in the injection molding test is a PP material. The packing condition was set to 80, 90 and 100% of the maximum injection pressure for each gate size. The runner diameter used was ∅3mm, and the gates were fabricated in semicircle shapes with cross sections 1, 2, and 3 ㎟, respectively. Thickness measurement was performed for 10 points at 2.5 mm intervals from the point 2.5 mm away from the gate, and the shrinkage to thickness was measured for each point. The shrinkage rate according to the gate size tends to decrease as the cross-sectional area decreases as the maximum injection pressure increases. The average thickness shrinkage rate was close to 0% when the packing pressure was 90% for the gate area of 1mm2. When the holding pressure was set to 100%, the shrinkage was found to decrease by 3% from the standard dimension due to the over-packing phenomenon. Therefore, the smaller the gate, the more closely the molded dimensions can be molded due to the high pressure generation. It was confirmed that precise packing process control is necessary because over-packing phenomenon may occur.

  • Symmetric closed-cell type barrier ribs of PDP were formed by capillary molding process using molds prepared by inclined UV lithography process. The effects of inclining angle of barrier ribs on the sintering shrinkage and luminance of panel were examined. The results indicate that the barrier ribs of inclined morphology affect the sintering shrinkage and luminance efficiency significantly.

  • In order to survey the distribution of molds in Korean Ginseng and its products, molds were isolated from their sample to obtain 22 strains. Among them, 3 strains were found to produce aflatoxin and identified as Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus paraciticus and Penicillium puberulum. The type of aflatoxin produce was identified as $B_1$, $B_2$ and $G_1$.

  • Five dictyostelid cellular slime molds were isolated from the littoral grassland ecoystems of the lake Paldangho, safeguard of waterworks, Kyounggi-do, South Korea. They were Poiysphoadylium violceum, Dictyosielium aureo-stipes var. aureo-stipes D crassicaule, D macrocephalum and D gigauteum. P. violaceum was dominant species. It live on the low nutrient and barren soils as the littoral zone destabilized in surface soils, litters and chemicals by inundation an rain precipitation. Key words: Cellular slime mold, Littoral grassland ecosystem.

  • Seven dictyostelid cellular slime molds isolated from the forest soils of Mt. Halla were described and illustrated. Dictyostelium flavidum Hong et Chang and three unidentified Dictyostelium, HL-2, HL-3 and CJ-9 were compared and discussed. All the isolates were cultivated on low nutrient media, 0.1- L-P(pH6) with Escherichia coli at 20-22$^{\circ}C$. Seven unrecorded species were all polar granule (PG) negative. These were Dictyostelium crassicaule Hagiwara, D. sphaerocephalum (Oud.) Sacc. et March, D. macrocephalum Hagiwara, Yeh et Chien, D. capitatum Hagiwara, D. brefeldianum Hagiwara, D. aureum var. aureum Cavender, Worley and Raper, and D. giganteum Singh.

  • Dictyostelid cellular slime molds were quantitatibly isolated from Korean lawngrass turf in Seoul National University, Korea, by the 'Clonal Isolation Technique(Cavender and Raper, 1965a)'. Total six species were found. These are Dictyostelium sphaerocephalum. D. purpuream. D. flavidam, D. crassica ale, Polysphondilium pallidum. P. violaceum. D. sphaerocephalum was the dominant species and P. violaceum, D. flaviidum, D. crassicaule were rare. Compared with other region, species diversity and species richness of Korean lawngrass turf appeared to he low. The dominant species, however, is not very common in other plant communities, so it cnay he characteristic of Korean lawngrass turf.

  • Dictyostelid cellular slime molds were quantitatively isolated from three golf courses in Kyonggi province. The samples were collected in tee, fairway, rough and out of bounds at each golf courses. Dictyostelium muoroides was found at rough of Seo-Seoul C.C and D. minutum at out of hounds of New Korea C.C Compared with other forests, species diversity and species richness appeared to be low. The properties of soils were investigated in three golf courses. This results were very low in water content, organic matter compared with artificial Korean lawngrsss turf in Seoul National University.

  • Liquid silicone rubber(LSR) has been applied to various products such as electronic devices owing to its excellent thermal and chemical resistance. Hyperelastic materials, however, have properties distinguished from general metal materials. Hyperelastic materials show elastic behaviors in the range of large deformation in which load has the nonlinear relation with deformation. In addition, they have characteristics of nonlinearity, incompressibility, in large scale. On account of such characteristics, there are many difficulties in design and production using these materials. In this study, the load-deformation relation obtained from tension and compression tests was applied to finite element analysis in order to design waterproof connectors for automobiles. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the finite element analysis was confirmed by comparing the results of analysis with those of performance tests.

  • This study was activity of ${\alpha}-amylase$, glucoamylase of liquid Nuruk prepared using liquid Nuruk (NK) and Aspergillus kawachii (AK), Aspergillus niger (AN), Aspergillus oryzae (AO), Monascus kaoliang (MK). To investigate the relationship between the enzymatic activity and the total sugar content of liquid Nuruk depending on the types of Nuruk molds and the degree of rice-polishing. The activity of ${\alpha}-amylase$ depending on the types of Nuruk molds was shown to be 8.82, 8.72 units/mL in AN and AK treatments in brown rice liquid Nuruk at 24 hours after incubation, as the degree of rice-polishing increased, the activity of ${\alpha}-amylase$ was significantly lower (p<0.05). When brown rice was incubated in AN, it showed 8.83 units/mL at 48 hours after incubation, which was the highest activity, but there was no significantly difference (p<0.05), as the degree of rice- polishing was higher, the activity of ${\alpha}-amylase$ was lower. The activity of glucoamylase depending on the degree of rice-polishing showed 3,013 units/mL in AO treatment in brown rice liquid Nuruk at 24 hours after incubation, and the enzymatic activity was significantly higher (p<0.05). As the degree of rice-polishing increased, the activity of glucoamylase decreased, so liquid brown rice Nuruk showed the highest enzymatic activity, liquid white rice Nuruk was the lowest enzymatic activity. The highest enzymatic activity appeared in liquid Nuruk with brown rice at 48 hours after incubation. The activity of ${\alpha}-amylase$, glucoamylase showed higher enzymatic productivity as the degree of rice-polishing was lower, and there was an inverse correlation with the total sugar content.
