영남지역 주요 모암지대별 밭토양 모래입자의 형태적 특성 및 토양수분특성곡선의 차이에 관한 연구 (Differences in Morphological Properties and Soil Moisture Characteristics Curve of Cultivated Land Derived from Major Parent Rocks in Yeong-nam Province Areas)

  • 영남지역의 대표적인 밭토양의 모암지대별 특성차이를 알기 위해 모래입자의 형태적 특성인 구형도를 조사하고 토양수분특성곡선을 구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 모래인자의 형태적 특성인 구형도는 모래입자의 크기에 관계없이 화성암에서 0.56~0.61, 퇴적암에서 0.63~0.67의 범위로 퇴적암 유래 토양에서 높게 나타났으며 화성암 유래 토양의 경우에는 입자가 작을수록 구형도가 더 낮은 경향을 보였다. 토양수분특성곡선은 사양질에서보다 식 양질토양에서 모암간에 큰 차이가 있었고, 화성암에서보다는 퇴적암에서 유래된 토양이 보수력이 높은 경향이었다. 유효수분율에 의하여 scale을 변환시킨 결과 토성이나 모암지대에 상관없이 토양수분 특성곡선이 거의 변화를 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 퇴적암지대의 식양질 토양에서는 조금 벗어난 값을 보였다.

건조 대추의 변형기체포장 (Modified Atmosphere Packaging of Dry Jujube)

  • Effect of modified atmosphere packaging conditions on quality changes of dry jujube was investigated. Dry jujubes with moisture content of 26.7% were packaged in PET/Al/PE film pouches with modified atmospheres. The tested packages include those with normal air, vacuum, CO2 flushing, N2 flushing and O2 scavenger. Packages were stored at 25$^{\circ}C$ for 6 months, during which ascorbic acid concentration, browning level, titratable acidity and surface color were measured. Generally modified atmosphere packages could improve quality retention of dry jujubes except that vacuum package resulted in large surface color change. CO2-flushed package showed the best quality retention of high ascorbic acid content and low browning during 112 days, but caused high amounts of ascorbic acid destruction and browning in longer storage. In all the modified atmosphere packages titratable acidity reached a maximum followed by decline and subsequent rise, while it increased linearly with time in normal air package. Considering ascorbic acid retention browning level and surface color changes during 112 days, the packages of CO2 flushing and N2 flushing were better than others.

염 환경 하에서 Bacillus sp. SH1RP8와 Polyacrylate Polymers가 작물 생장에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Rhizobacterium, Bacillus sp. SH1RP8 and Potassium Family Polymers on the Crop Growth under Saline)

  • This study aimed to evaluate the potential plantgrowth promoting effects of potassium polyacrylate, a superabsorbent polymer, and Bacillus sp. SH1RP8, a family of plant-growth-promoting bacteria. Potassium polyacrylate was selected as the polymer for use due to its high molecular weight and its ability to retain and continuously supply moisture. Plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) were isolated from the soil and applied to plants growing in dry environments, such as saline conditions. The moisture absorption and retention abilities of potassium polyacrylate were evaluated at a high temperature ($50^{\circ}C$) and in a dry condition, during which time the polymer showed a water retention potential of 19606.07% after 29 days. To overcome the reaming problem in the soil environment, natural polymers (such as cellulose) were mixed with the potassium acrylate. The shoot growths of Peucedanum japonicum Thunb and Arundo donax were significantly enhanced when treated with the mixture of the isolated rhizosphere bacterium SH1RP8 and potassium polyacrylate (63.5 and 124.3%, respectively).

The Stability of Color and Antioxidant Compounds in Paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) Powder During the Drying and Storing Process

  • The objectives of this study were to examine changes in the color and antioxidant compounds of paprika powder under various conditions, as well as to establish the suitable conditions for drying and storage. Paprika was dried using the following methods: freeze-drying, vacuum drying, far infrared-ray drying, and hot-air drying. Measurements of the moisture content, color pigments, and antioxidant compounds (total carotenoids, capsanthin, ascorbic acid, and total polyphenols) were completed during 120 days of storage at 4 and $30^{\circ}C$. We found that drying methods, storage temperatures, and packaging materials affected the American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) and Hunter color values, as well as the antioxidant content of paprika powder. There was a high correlation (r=0.87, p<0.01) between the ASTA color and the $a^*/b^*$ value. The loss of red color was closely related to the reduction of moisture content (r=0.81, p<0.01) during storage. Drying paprika with a low temperature in the absence of air resulted in better retention of the carotenoids and ascorbic acid. Also, as the retention of the carotenoids and ascorbic acid increased, the stability of the red pigment increased. Freeze-drying was found to be the most suitable drying method for the stability of the antioxidant compounds and red pigment.

국내산 쇠고기 수육 및 육수의 영양소 잔존량에 관한 연구 (Retention Factors Influencing Hanwoo Stock (broth) and Boiled Beef)

  • This study evaluates the nutritional retention factors influencing beef based on different cuts and boiling. Two cuts (brisket and shin foreshank) were prepared from beef and used in this experiment. Boiling methods were applied to each cut. The fat content of the boiled shin foreshank cut (236.43%) exceeded that of the brisket cut (142.38%). The moisture content of the boiled brisket cut (47.68%) was lower than that of the shin foreshank cut (49.54%). The sodium content of the boiled shin foreshank cut (47.89%) exceeded that of the brisket cut (37.30%). The potassium content of the boiled brisket cut (41.90%) exceeded that of the shin foreshank cut (39.63%). The calcium content of the boiled brisket cut (48.43%) was lower than that off the shin foreshank cut (71.34%). The phosphorus content of the boiled brisket cut (58.09%) exceeded that of the shin foreshank cut (57.24%). The iron content of the boiled brisket cut (72.72%) was lower than that of the shin foreshank cut (87.29%). Nutritional retention factors represent output data on cooking methods with a yield (%) for each item.

고흡수성(高吸水性) Polymer와 Cellulose의 흡수특성(吸水特性) 비교(比較) (The Comparison of Absorption Characteristics between High Absorbent Polymers and Cellulose)

  • This experiment was carried out to improve the quality of high absorbent polymer which has excellent absorptivity and water retention compared to pulp and absorption sheet, through absorption characteristics-absorptive power, water retention, absorption rate, gel strength, pH, particle size, and moisture content. - of six polymers, namely, anionic polyacrylamide, cationic polyacrylamide, polyacrylic, acid polyvinyle alcohol 500, and 1500, and a-cellulose. and to examine the possibility of substitution of amide groups for carboxyl group and/or hydroxyl group which were commercial high absorbent polymer by comparing the absorption characteristics of the polymers. Polyacrylamide has high absorptive power and water retention, but has low gel strength and poor absorption rate. The rest of polymers were similiar to ${\alpha}$-cellulose in every respect. Thus, polyacrylamides could be replaced with polyacrylic acid and polyvinyl alcohol which are presently a high absorbent polymers. In comparing the absorption characteristics and the absorptive power of the polymers-anionic polyacrylamide, cationic polyacrylamide, polyacrylic acid, polyvinyle alcohol. a-cellulose-the absorptive power was in inverse proportion to the gel strength and absorption rates, affected by the particle size and pH change.

백합나무 스킨팀버의 ACQ, CUAZ, CuHDO 가압처리를 위한 처리용 목재의 적정 함수율 및 처리목재의 정착 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Pretreatment Moisture Content and Fixation Characteristics of Treated Wood for Pressure Treatment of Yellow Poplar Skin Timber with ACQ, CUAZ and CuHDO)

  • 본 연구는 백합나무 스킨팀버의 ACQ-2, CUAZ-3, CuHDO-1 가압처리 특성을 평가하기 위해 수행되었다. 일차적으로 백합나무 변재부와 심재부 시험편을 대상으로 처리용 목재 함수율이 방부제 처리도에 미치는 영향을 평가하고, 방부제 유효성분인 구리의 처리목재 내 정착 특성을 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면 백합나무 변재부는 방부제 종류에 관계없이 조사된 목재함수율 범위(50% 이하)에서 사용환경 범주 H3용 처리목재의 침윤도와 흡수량 기준을 모두 만족하였다. 백합나무 변재부의 방부제 보유량 경사를 조사한 결과, 국립산림과학원 고시 제2011-04호에 제시된 처리용 목재의 함수율(평균 30% 이하)을 만족할 경우 재면으로부터 15 mm 깊이까지에서 사용환경 범주 H3용 처리재의 흡수량 기준을 충족하였다. 백합나무 심재부는 처리도가 매우 불량하여 처리용 목재의 함수율 조건 및 방부제 종류에 관계없이 사용환경 범주 H3용 처리목재의 침윤도와 보유량 기준을 모두 만족시키지 못하였다. 백합나무 변재 및 심재 시험편 공히 비건조 양생보다 건조 양생에서 구리의 정착속도가 빠르고 또한 최종 구리 정착율이 높았으며, 3주간 비건조 양생 후 구리 정착율이 90% 수준에 머물었으며 양생기간을 연장하더라도 정착율은 크게 개선되지 않았다.

  • In this paper, we have investigated the drying characteristics of waste sludge in a rotary dryer equipped with disintegration device. The sludge samples($moisture\;contents\;:\;70{\sim}85%\;W.B.$) used in the experiment were mainly a soybean and an alcohol fermentation sludges in food industry, or sewage sludge. It was studied by measuring the change of moisture contents that the shaft speed($operating\;range\;:\;100{\sim}250rpm$) affected on the drying rate and the particle size distribution of the dried solid. The dried granular products of the diameter of 1 to 5mm are obtained from sludge materials. In the results, as the increased of shaft speed, the particle size and the moisture contents of dried solid was decreased, and the retention time was increased.

원격탐사자료를 이용한 시⋅공간적으로 분포되어 있는 토양수분산정 및 가뭄평가:(I) 토양수분 (Soil Moisture Estimation and Drought Assessment at the Spatio-Temporal Scales using Remotely Sensed Data: (I) Soil Moisture)

  • In this study, we estimated root zone soil moisture dynamics using remotely sensed (RS) data. A soil moisture data assimilation scheme was used to derive the soil and root parameters from MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data. Based on the estimated soil/root parameters and weather forcings, soil moisture dynamics were simulated at spatio-temporal scales based on a hydrological model. For calibration/validation, the Little Washita (LW13) in Oklahoma and Chungmi-cheon/Seolma-cheon sites were selected. The derived water retention curves matched the observations at LW 13. Also, the simulated soil moisture dynamics at these sites was in agreement with the Time Domain Reflectrometry (TDR)-based measurements. To test the applicability of this approach at ungauged regions, the soil/root parameters at the pixel where the Seolma-cheon site is located were derived from the calibrated MODIS-based (Chungmi-cheon) soil moisture data. Then, the simulated soil moisture was validated using the measurements at the Seolma-cheon site. The results were slightly overestimated compared to the measurements, but these findings support the applicability of this proposed approach in ungauged regions with predictable uncertainties. These findings showed the potential of this approach in Korea. Thus, this proposed approach can be used to assess root zone soil moisture dynamics at spatio-temporal scales across Korea, which comprises mountainous regions with dense forest.

건조온도와 아세틸화처리가 소나무 원판의 Polyethylene Glycol 잔류량에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Drying Temperature and Acetylation on The Retention of Polyethylene Glycol in Red Pine Wood Disks)

  • 소나무 원판에 polyethylen glycol (PEG)를 주입시키면 건조 중 횡단면할렬을 막을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 건조온도와 아세틸화처리가 PEG처리 목재에 미치는 효과를 조사하고자 다양한 온도에서 건조한 소나무 원판의 PEG잔류율(PPR)을 아세톤추출과 조습처리를 통해 측정하였다. 아세톤추출법으로 구한 PPR은 열기건조시편이 천연건조시편보다 최하 4배 높았으며, 열기건조시편은 변재의 잔류PEG율이 심재보다 2배 정도 높았다. 이러한 결과는 조습처리실험을 통해 검증되었다. 아세틸화처리에 의한 열기건조시편의 중량변화율(WPC)은 천연건조시편 보다 훨씬 적게 증가하거나 오히려 감소하였다. 무수초산이 잔류 PEG를 용출시켰기 때문으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 PPR을 높이려면 열기건조하는 것이 천연건조보다 유리하나 아세틸화처리는 대부분의 PEG를 용출시켜 천연건조와 차이를 나타내지 않는다.
