In order to achieve carbon neutrality in the architectural field by 2050, this study analyzed the energy impact proportional to CO2 emissions of each technique, such as design methods, the properties of building structures, prefabrication methods, passive houses, and active facilities. In addition, the results were presented quantitatively in terms of carbon reduction, and corresponding housing cases were analyzed. The research method is limited to residential buildings at the Passive House energy level, and carbon reduction techniques and elements in architecture are examined through various literature and materials, and empirical cases are analyzed to determine the specific possibility of realizing carbon reduction in architecture. We want to secure it. Based on these analysis results, it was possible to suggest that it is possible to explore various approaches to carbon reduction in future residential construction. By combining the most efficient techniques according to the energy reduction level or goal setting of the building in question, we expect the possibility of achieving the goal of carbon reduction in the residential sector more realistically.
Nearly 400 composite railway bridge decks of a new kind belonging to the trough type with U-shaped cross section have been constructed in Belgium over the last fifteen years. The construction of these bridge decks is rather complex with the preflexion of precambered steel girders, the prestressing of a concrete slab and the addition of a 2nd phase concrete. Until now, they have been designed with a classical computation method using a pseudo-elastic analysis with modular ratios. Globally, they perform according to the expectations but variability has been observed between the measured and the computed camber of these bridge decks just after the transfer of prestressing and also at long-term. A statistical analysis of the variability of the relative difference between the measured camber and the computed camber is made for a sample of 36 bridge decks using no less than 10 variables. The most significant variables to explain this variability at prestressing are the ratio between the maximum tensile stress reached in the steel girders during the preflexion and the yield strength and the type of steel girder. For the same sample, the long-term camber under permanent loading is computed by two methods and compared with measurements taken one or two years after the construction. The camber computed by the step-by-step method shows a better agreement with the measured camber than the camber computed by the classical method. The purpose of the paper is to report on the statistical analysis which was used to determine the most significant parameters to consider in the modeling in order to improve the prediction of the behaviour of these composite railway bridge decks.
In this paper, we present a method on the construction of multiple-valued circuits using Reed-Muller Expansions(RME). First, we discussed the input output interconnection of multiple valued function using Perfect Shuffle techniques and Kronecker product and designed the basic cells of performing the transform matrix and the reverse transform matrix of multiple valued RME using addition circuit and multiplication circuit of GF(4). Using these basic cells and the input-output interconnection technique based on Perfect Shuffle and Kronecker product, we implemented the multiple valued logic circuit based on RME. The proposed design method of multiple valued RME is simple and very efficient to reduce addition circuits and multiplication circuits as compared with other methods for same function because of using matrix transform based on modular structures. The proposed design method of multiple valued logic circuits is simple and regular for wire routing and possess the properties of concurrency and modularity of array.

In this paper, we present a method on the construction of quinternary logic circuits using Perfect shuffle. First, we discussed the input-output interconnection of quinternary logic function using Perfect Shuffle techniques and Kronecker product, and designed the basic cells of performing the transform matrix and the reverse transform matrix of quinternary Reed-Muller expansions(QRME) using addition circuit and multiplication circuit of GF(5). Using these basic cells and the input-output interconnection technique based on Perfect Shuffle and Kronecker product, we implemented the quinternary logic circuit based on QRME. The proposed design method of QRME is simple and very efficient to reduce addition circuits and multiplication circuits as compared with other methods for same logic function because of using matrix transform based on modular structures. The proposed design method of quinternary logic circuits is simple and regular for wire routing and possess the properties of concurrency and modularity of array.
A submerged floating railway is an innovative tunnel infrastructure passing through the deep sea independent of wave and wind so that high speed trains can run on it. It doesn't depend on water depth and is cost effective due to modular construction on land. The construction period can be reduced drastically. This paper introduces the concept design of a submerged floating railway, and for securing safety, proposes a method to analyze the structural behavior of the body in case of collision with a submarine. The theory of a beam with an elastic foundation was used to calculate the equivalent mass of the body so that the perfect elastic collision could be applied to calculate the collision velocity. The maximum deformation and bending moment was analyzed based on energy conservation. To verify the results, a collision analysis using a finite element analysis code was made. Comparing the results confirmed that this simplified collision analysis method gives enough accurate deformation and bending moment to be used for actual estimation in the initial design stage.
Recently, many studies have been conducted for safety management in construction sites by incorporating computer vision. Anchor box parameters are used in state-of-the-art deep learning-based object detection and segmentation, and the optimized parameters are critical in the training process to ensure consistent accuracy. Those parameters are generally tuned by fixing the shape and size by the user's heuristic method, and a single parameter controls the training rate in the model. However, the anchor box parameters are sensitive depending on the type of object and the size of the object, and as the number of training data increases. There is a limit to reflecting all the characteristics of the training data with a single parameter. Therefore, this paper suggests a method of applying multiple parameters optimized through data split to solve the above-mentioned problem. Criteria for efficiently segmenting integrated training data according to object size, number of objects, and shape of objects were established, and the effectiveness of the proposed data split method was verified through a comparative study of conventional scheme and proposed methods.
A three-dimensional panel system, which was offered as a new method for construction in Jordan using relatively high strength modular panels for walls and ceilings, is investigated in this paper. The panel consists of two steel meshes on both sides of an expanded polystyrene core and connected together with a truss wire to provide a 3D system. The top face of the ceiling panel was pored with regular concrete mix, while the bottom face and both faces of the wall panels were cast by shotcreting (dry process). To investigate the structural performance of this system, an extensive experimental testing program for ceiling and wall panels subjected to static and dynamic loadings was conducted. The load-deflection curves were obtained for beam and shear wall elements and wall elements under transverse and axial loads, respectively. Static and dynamic analyses were conducted, and the performance of the proposed structural system was evaluated and compared with a typical three dimensional reinforced concrete frame system for buildings of the same floor areas and number of floors. Compressive strength capacity of a ceiling panel is determined for gravity loads, while flexural capacity is determined under the effect of wind and seismic loading. It was found that, the strength and serviceability requirements could be easily satisfied for buildings constructed using the three-dimensional panel system. The 3D panel system is superior to that of conventional frame system in its dynamic performance, due to its high stiffness to mass ratio.
This paper highlights a study undertaken on the free vibration of a precast steel-concrete composite slab panel for track support. The steel-concrete composite slab track is an evolvement from the slab track, a form of ballastless track which is becoming increasingly attractive to asset owners as they seek to reduce lifecycle costs and deal with increasing rail traffic speeds. The slender nature of the slab panel due to its reduced depth of construction makes it susceptible to vibration problems. The aim of the study is driven by the need to address the limited research available to date on the dynamic behaviour of steel-concrete composite slab panels for track support. Free vibration analysis of the track slab has been carried out using ABAQUS. Both eigenfrequencies and eigenmodes have been extracted using the Lanczos method. The fundamental natural frequencies of the slab panel have been identified together with corresponding mode shapes. To investigate the sensitivity of the natural frequencies and mode shapes, parametric studies have been established, considering concrete strength and mass and steel's modulus of elasticity. This study is the world first to observe crossover phenomena that result in the inversion of the natural orders without interaction. It also reveals that replacement of the steel with aluminium or carbon fibre sheeting can only marginally reduce the natural frequencies of the slab panel.

Currently, composite construction of prestressed Precast Concrete (PC) and Cast-In-Place (CIP) concrete with different concrete strengths are frequently used in the modular construction. However, current design codes do not clearly define shear design methods for such composite beams. In this present study, simply supported prestressed PC-CIP composite beams without vertical shear reinforcement or only with horizontal shear reinforcement were tested to evaluate the effect of prestressing on the shear strength and the shear design method for such composite members. The test variables were the area ratio of PC and CIP concretes, prestressing force, shear span-to-depth ratio, and shear reinforcement ratio. The results showed that the shear strength was increased by the increase of prestressing force and prestressed PC area, and the decrease of shear span-to-depth ratio.
